In addition to a sensor package on par with the Fly-Spy for inspecting pipes and construction, this earthworm analogue has a gripper at each end so that it can pull cable and apply tension to serve as an extra set of hands. Because it is constructed of sealed plastic, it can safely be immersed even in toxic waste, septic systems and sewers. It can also trail an optic fibre link for environments where wireless is unavailable.

The shankworm is like the Annelid's big brother, except that it has stubby foot analogues like a velvetworm, each of which can cup its base for a sucker-like effect for good grip in greasy or wet environments. Its plastic body has also been heavily impregnated with standard bittering agents to deter predation. At the back it has a gripper strong enough to enable it to hang from a pipe or ductwork, while at the front it has a six inch spike. Paul created it to be able to walk along greasy pipe ceiling while hunting down pests like devilrats. Its internal artificial musculature affords it a lunge of up to two feet, with a stab attack equivalent to a 3 strength.

The Daddy Sniperlegs is rather like a stick insect, the body of which is a Ruger 100 without a stock, mounted with a direct recoil absorbing mounting so that it doesn't affect aim, and doesn't beat the body of the drone to hell every time it fires. The body elements are all ceramic coated stainless steel, so that they're impervious to nearly any chemical attack, with stable plastic gaiters over the joints to prevent dust intrusion. The drone includes a standard multi-environment sensor package, as well as ultrasonics for hunting. The legs terminate in grippers that also have gecko tape pads, so that the drone can hang from an electric line while picking off mutant pigeons at 300m. For work in complex environments where steel plate or mesh might interfere with signals, they can trail a comms cable.

The Flatworker is a flatworm with a pluggable tool interface. Drills, wrenches, grinders, saws, torches, scrapers ... you name it, if it's a basic tool sold in a big box home improvement shop over the past century? It can plug in here. These guys are rather like flat-bodied worms the size of a brisket, and they can deform enough to squeeze anywhere that their tool attachments will fit. For stuck bolts in awkward places, they are an absolute godsend. They aren't necessarily quiet, although the worms themselves aren't inherently noisy. Impact wrenches, however, are loud. No way around that. Their bodies are flexible and strong enough to apply really mean leverage by wrapping around corners and across bars, while they are tough enough to slither over nails and broken glass without damage. They aren't armed, but they are doped with really powerful bittering agents and if some mutant roach gets stupid? Well, a high speed spade drill works just fine on chitin.
