Snow Elf Notes: The Snow Elves are found across the norther highlands, separated into various Clans that inhabit villages across the mountains. For the most part all the Clans are on good terms and regularly trade and hunt with each other. Each Clan has it's own tradtions, but they all derive from the same source, and as such don't differ much from each other. The Snow Elves themsevles are a sturdy group, being fromed by the harsh climate they live in, they are generally tall and have a lot of stamina. In particular their ears are very sensetive, not only to sounds but the ends of them are very sensetive to touch as well. A Snow Elf can't resist their ears being massaged, once they have found a partner they will guide their hand up towards their ears and even a few rubs along the tip of the ear will put them in the mood. As such they only let their partner touch either ears as a show of trust and faithfulness. In all Clans it is tradition for both males and females to leave the village when they become of age (around 20 compared to a human lifespan) in search of a partern to bring back to the village. They must however, return every 5 years to make sure their clan is fine. Once find a partner they properly return to their village, settle down and start a family. At first it may seem that this practice would lead to a race of half-elves, however this is not the case as for some reason if one parent is a Snow Elf then the child will always be a Snow Elf as well, the cause of this is still unknown but it has been the case since the birth of the very First Snow Elves. The story that is passed down through the generations is of a beautiful Goddess that fled to the highlands long ago and birthed the first Snow elves there, the Goddess entrusted the lands to the Snow Elves before she departed. The first Generation Snow Elves were all female and as such need to find partners from other lands, the six sister took turns leaving and returning with husbands and all settled in different parts of the mountains, thus forming the 6 Clans of the Snow Elves. Snow Elves and loyal and passionate lovers, they also tend to be dominant in the bedroom. They learn various tradional dances and are extremely charming, it is very hard to resist the advances of a Snow Elf. Once they have found a partner they may settle for a while wherever they are, however it is forbidden for them to have a child outside of their homeland, as it is a sarced act. So when the couple decides to start a family, they must return to the Snow Elf's clan. Once back at the village they are free to have as many children as they like (in fact it is encoraged), and it is on the birth of the first child that the outside partner is fully accpeted into the clan. Since, the outsiders are not privy to the traditions of the clans they take on the simpler yet important jobs like farming or hunting, not to say the Snow Elves don't do these jobs themselves but they also have to train the younger generations and partake in the more cultural work for the clan, this includes anything from crafting to delivering childern. Currently, 2 of the 6 Clan villages have been destroyed by the Gaelyarn forces, and the few survivors fled thinking all the clans had shared the same fate. However, the other Clans that live futher into the mountains have banded together and managed to hold offGaelyarns for the time being. Using the diffcult to traverse landscape to their advantage in small skirmishes they have been successful for the most part. The mountains also make it difficult to bring in the heavier machienery and establish any kind of foothold.
