>>277952792Ok I will try to explain the reasoning.
At first there was "nothing" in the "Home" page of the Wiki, and there were just the pages in the sidebar listed.
One would think that would be enough, you would just have to check those pages there, and choose what you wanted to read without going through all the pages that existed in the Wiki (as the most important and parent pages were in the sidebar already).
Still, that wasn't so obvious to the brainlets, so they would just ignore the sidebar entirely as well as any other pages, and they would flood the threads with questions that were already answered in the pages.
For that reason a "Starting Page" is being put in place where there would be a summary of the entire content of the Wiki as well as the most inportant links to the other pages, so that brainlets would be forced to read what was in there as soon as opening the Wiki. This also allowed to just put a single link in the OP instead of cluttering it.
One would think just putting some links there to the other pages would be enough, that they would follow them and read them with no problems. The first part of the "Starting Page" would be those links with the basic info.
But sadly that doesn't seem to be the case.
To combat the retards stupidity to follow the damn links, putting the wall of text directly in the "Starting Page" was the only solution. But a wall of text might have been seem as too intimidating, so to remedy this they were hidden under expandable tabs.
But again, that might not have been too obvious to the retards, so a big ass warning was put telling them there was further info and that they should read what was inside the expandable tabs.
There, I think I summarized it enough.
