Capital Techno Recordings welcomes back the mighty Wyrus.

Wyrus has been part of the CTR family since day one. As a co-founder of Keep On Techno alongside Fer BR, it was KOT that launched the very first release from Rex Bruton's Steel Grooves Music — pulling Rex into the fold alongside a whole generation of rising techno composers. Wyrus first landed on the imprint back on CTR002 and across a handful of various-artists compilations. Now he's back on deck with two slick, percussion-driven drum drivers built exactly the way he's known for.

The Agent Orange EP is stripped-back intensity for heavy soundsystems — razor-sharp percussion, relentless tribal drive, and that militant low-end march that has made Wyrus a fixture of the European underground. Title cut "Agent Orange" rolls in on a tight, rhythmic chassis and never lets up, all swing and pressure for the peak of the floor. On the flip, "Currahee" takes its name from the airborne rallying cry and earns it — a drilling, marching groove engineered to move bodies in formation. Global, jump-up, headbanger boogie: this is hardgroove the way it's meant to hit.

About Wyrus

Pavao Karlović — better known as DJ Wyrus — is an electronic music DJ and producer based in Zagreb, Croatia, and a prominent fixture in the European underground club scene. His sound sits squarely in the driving, groovy end of the spectrum: hard techno, acidcore, and hardgroove, defined by stripped-back intensity, razor-sharp percussion, and high-energy drive tailored for heavy soundsystems.

Wyrus entered the scene after his first rave in the early 2000s sparked a deep interest in DJing and production. He cut his teeth with residencies in prominent Croatian nightclubs — including Boogaloo — and has since performed at techno events across the region. His catalog spans underground labels such as Rhythmic Beatz Records, Transfiguration Recordings, and Hautboxx Rekords, with standout works including the Mentalni Proljev EP and the Movie Star album, plus frequent collaborations with producers like DKTech.
