Entry 3 - Saluki Selfishness Hey there, my new friend, it's Matt again, and I'm back to update you on my canine classification system adventures. Today, I met a Saluki girl, and boy, did she make an impression on me. She was beautiful, tall, and had a confident stride. Her eyes were the color of the ocean on a bright day, and her fur was a soft beige. I thought to myself that she must be a herding or a hunting dog, but after talking to her, I realized she was a purebred - a selfish one, at that. We met at a coffee shop, and I was just minding my own business, sipping my coffee and scrolling through my phone, when she came up to me and complimented my collar. I was taken aback but also flattered. We started talking, and at first, I thought she was kind and interested in what I had to say. But as the conversation went on, she started talking about herself, her accomplishments, her connections, and her wealth. I realized that she was a purebred, born into money and privilege, and she was using her status to make herself look good. She talked about how she had gotten into a prestigious university and how she had landed a high-paying job because of her family connections. She even told me about how she had a designer wardrobe and how she vacationed in exotic places. At first, I tried to relate to her and talk about my own experiences, but she wasn't interested. She just kept talking about herself and how amazing she was. It was as if she was trying to prove something to me, like she wanted me to be impressed by her wealth and status. I tried to change the subject and talk about something else, but she just kept bringing it back to herself. I realized that she was just using me as a sounding board to talk about her own accomplishments and make herself feel better. After she left, I felt empty and disappointed. I thought she was different, that she was a herding or a hunting dog, but she turned out to be just another selfish purebred. It's funny how people can surprise you, and how first impressions can be deceiving. I learned that just because someone looks a certain way or talks a certain way, doesn't mean they're who they say they are. Well, that's it for today, my friend. Thanks for listening to my rant. I'll catch you later.
