It can be.  This channel was really intended for serious propositions of any kind.  If there is a need I can break it up, but I can't imagine proposals like that are all too common

Hey guys, discord did a thing, currently can’t talk to members unless you are friends with said person in dms. Apparently the bot scams are finally being dealt with.

when DMing someone on discord I usually have to also ping them in a public chat to look for the message request

I don't think that's going to make a difference. They always send friend requests now because it means they can continue chatting once they get banned from whatever mutual servers they have
