All manufacturers/vendors of cheap/expensive tat. Over-priced florists & London hotelliers.

That would be the best opportunity for many countrys to become republic.

Otherwise it's a big bullshit.

It is in my blood to be anti royal.

As best summed up by a newspaper advert I saw: Smash the Monarchy. But first.... Oooh... what a lovely dress!

The American media does and drives it down our throats. I can't think of anybody else who cares much.

Don't care about it.

I think the only one's who do care are the upper class

Sorry, Chris, with your not being a Brit, you'd be surprised how much the proles get conned into thinking that it's relevant to them.

Yes, Tied Beauty, it would be the ideal opportunity to become a republic but, when one looks around at the Presidents in the world, even a republican like myself has to have a second thought!

As a Canadian, let me assure you that the Canadian media cares just as much as the American media. CBC, Global, CTV... All the big Canadian networks are covering the royal wedding like its the second coming of Christ. It's just as annoying for us as it is for everybody.

On the other hand, perhaps it isn't such a bad thing that so many people all over the world are unified in an event like this. The royal wedding is going to be watched by millions of people all over the world. Maybe its good that for one day, so many different people from different places and different cultures all over the world will be watching the same thing on TV... Could be good for world peace... or something like that... I don't know where I'm going with this!
There's a permanent tension in music isn't there? On one hand you have three chords, you know, four four and three chords. Then there's the people like me, who say "Well, why don't we add a fourth chord and put it in five four?" - Bill Bruford

Dreadnaught has hit the nail n the head. The media wouldn't cover it if it wasn't going to be watched. Many people care about it. Yes royalty is all about privelage not about democracy but would David Cameron's daughter's wedding get this much interest? Media maight make it popular but i don't see the world's media flocing to televise world mole charming contests or people camping out in the streets to get a better view of the London Marathon.

I will ne watching tomorrow with all my family.

That's because worm charming is much more interesting than mole charming.

I meant to say here in the US it's mostly just the media that cares. I didn't mean to imply it was that way across the whole world. I see why it looked that way though, I was pretty vague in writing that.

I do know a couple of people who are excited. One of my friends has gone on and on about it and is dressing up for it as if she's going to be there. I'll be glad when it's over just so I don't have to hear about it from her anymore if nothing else. But for the most part everyone I know is just sick of hearing about it and ready for it to be over like me. Even so, I know some of them will watch it just because...well, just because a lot of people will and they want to be able to talk about it, I guess.

I'll be watching. it's the future king we'll be looking at, we need to get to know him a little more. some sexually strange people have already done that though. prince william condoms, no less!
I'm all yours. Use any method of tying me up and I'll welcome it. Gag me however you wish. Blindfold me if you need to. Just don't hurt me! :D

I understand why you'd care about it more, you're in the UK. If I lived there I'd probably at least pay a little attention to it.

The Prince William condoms idea is a bit horrifying to even think about.

What a disappointment. No-one spoke up and objected.

Haha yeah, I was wondering if anyone would speak up :P Half hoped they would just for the difference. but the guests were all specially chosen eh?

More anti homosexual talk through that though. glimpses, very brief. including in the ceremony. still...this God fellow doesn't like gays, it seems.
