Thoughts about suspension bondage

Postby Jay Feely » Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:12 am

My friend was suspended just a few inches off the ground yet it took him only 5 minutes to realize that his feet and hands are going numb so he had to be removed. So, in the same kind of scenario with all things remaining constant, another one of my close friends lasted more then a hour without a problem.

So does age, gender, weight, height, and other factors play a role in how long a person can be subjected to suspension bondage?
You will have to subdue me to restrain me. I been a bad boy so make sure you torture me too with anything but pain.

weight is a huge factor, age may also be a factor also how one is suspended. i once was suspended taped to some thing and felt no discomfort that i remember and once the tickling had stopped i fell asleep.

I think it depends on how it's done. Suspension by wrists or limbs can be painful but if suspended or tied to something by your waist or in a way that takes the pressure off most of your body it can be downright comfortable. One way I've had good suspension sessions was with a bunk bed, I gave myself a hanging wedgie from the top bunk before gagging myself, and then used nearby duct tape and ready cinch nooses/wrist coils to tape myself to the post and tie myself up. When I finished I was tied in a vertical position a good 2 feet off the ground for a while and pretty much felt helpless and yet strangely comfortable at the same time. Don't get me into about 15-20 minutes in when after struggling my bonds got slightly loose and I slid down slightly before stopping with my toes still about 4-inches away from the ground. I'll probably never experience that feeling again.

P.S. I had scissors nearby on one of the rungs so I did free myself when I finally got ready.

The quick answer to your question: yes.
But to put write a little more...
of course, weight is one factor. The weight a person has must be carried by the bondage. The more weight, the more area it should be distributed along ( to keep the pressure down). Distributing pressure is the main trick in suspension bondage anyway.
And a second point...not all nerve streaks run the same way in every human body. That needs to be considered. For example- some have a nerve streak on the outer side of the upper arm, while other persons have the same streak burried well below the bizeps. Obviously, putting pressure on the area is not good for the first type of people (and may well be a reason while your described attempt failed).
When done right though, and with the proper attention, it can be done with everyone. The heaviest girl (I dont tie guys) I put into a suspension so far weighted 120 Kilograms...

At scout camp, we left a kid hanging in a full body harness for a while. He was very light. But when I was in the full body harness, it hurt just a little bit, and I might not have been able to last as long. I think weight is everything.

Weight and fitness are very important. Whenever I was suspended for any length of time, I was tied by various portions of my anatomy all at once, not just by my wrists (which would have gotten very uncomfortable very fast), with supports wrapped around my limbs and torso so that I was semi-cocooned. THAT was not only NOT uncomfortable but downright relaxing - until someone wanted to tickle me or something anyway! :big: My arms and legs were often given extra padding too to reduce discomfort and prevent circulation problems.
