Halloween 2012

Postby tieup2008 » Tue Sep 25, 2012 7:35 am

So has anyone got any tie up/bondage related Halloween costume for this year?

Any plans to trick or treat someone to a tie up?

No, but I have a shotgun!
Boxer shorts are cool,
but little speedos rule!

Didn't think of shotguns really! Was thinking cop or prisoner costumes with handcuffs or prisoner chains :)

Edinburgh is a very busy and great place to be on Halloween. Gareth (my fiance), Paul, KT and I will be dressing up and going out for Halloween. We haven't decided our costumes yet.

Last year, Gareth, KT and I dressed up as coppers, and Paul as a convict. We had a (obviously fake) ball and chain on his ankle and handcuffed his hands behind his back for about 5-6 hours we were out - releasing him just once about halfway through while we had dinner in a resturaunt.

or pie eating contests.

A number of novelty shops have some type of handcuff. Party City has some to be part of a costume and AFAIK have my favorite type: a stop switch and a release lever that can be broken off and filed down. One novelty shop in a nearby mall had real cuffs for about $25 and included a cuff case.

Yes, pie eating contests too.

Depending where you buy it in the UK, your prisoner/cop/etc costume might come with cuffs. Party shops normally sell them anyway, which is good ;)

Handcuffs are quite widely available in the UK, and not just with costumes.

I know that bobbing for apples is a traditional Halloween pastime, but none of the eating contests which my hands were tied were on Halloween.

Suestruggles - Well I don't know what it is about Brits and handcuffs either, but I like them! :D

Gemscot - handcuffs are widely available as you say. Just more of a legit reason to get them with a costume. Suppose there's always mail order!

Rope_Guy - Can you give some more details of these eating contests with hands tied? Perhaps they can be tried at Halloween this time by people.

Amazon.com, cheap, double locking, no safety lever, decent handcuffs.
I have a pair and may use them to go trick or treating. I need to lose weight and handcuffs prevent me from eating any candy.

Well, when I was a kid, I participated in several eating contests which my hands were tied. Most were stuff like pie eating contests which you stuck your head into a plate of food, which can be messy. One was, however, a contest which contestants took bites from apples suspended by strings and continued to take bites until the apple was eaten to its core. A couple of pie eating contests required boys to be shirtless presumably because the contests were messy. As an adult, I never have participated in such a contest.

TUFriend - Amazon in the UK have some good cuffs too

Rope_guy - Sounds like some amazing games you've participated in. I can definately see why they'd need to be shirtless. Must have been more of a Summer game for that.

Not sure whether to invest in a costume myself for Halloween at all.

Being real and double locking, you don't need a safety lever. Just get something sharp enough to do the plunger on the cuffs to engage the double lock like a letter opener or Jônel fingernail file (assuming the key isn't immediately available).

No safety lever is a pro, not a con. What's the point of being handcuffed of you can get out in a few seconds. Just put the key either in a friends pocket or somewhere someone else can easily access it in case of emergency.

My bad. I was thinking of the stop switch which not many toy cuffs (made real by cutting off the safety lever) have these days.

Me and my girlfriend once joked about putting me in the straitjacket for hallowe'en, but I would never have the balls to actually do it :3

I was looking for a straight jacket that would not have an easy escape as most costumes do. The only problem is most are really expensive or not stereotypical enough for people to understand.

Ha, she would've killed me! She was ok with me putting it on her in the bedroom but if I even so much as whispered about bondage in public she'd explode.

There are, but they don't have that stereotypical white canvas kind. Plus, walking around the streets of a curvey neighborhood at night dressed in black and no arm mobility sounds like a safety nightmare.
