What is your opinion of the dumpster fire that has become the US Presidential Election for 2016?
No nasty name calling of fellow board members or candidates please.

You know, it's really sad that it's now come to the decision of who would hurt the country the least. I'm honestly afraid of what will transpire regardless of who gets it. I still ask myself how did we as a country get into a situation like this?

I would've liked an option that says 'Does it matter? We're all screwed!'

There. That's my political stance. That's all I'm saying.

That would be the "I can't decide; they're both horrible" option.

Kings are outranked by emperors so give me some time. Emperor Chris will outrank king Drawscore.

But before that I have the unpleasant feeling Trump is going to win. In Europe its a trend that the populist wolves are gaining power and Trump fits that archetype.

Trump also has a giant advantage while Hilery has a giant disadvantage.
Hilery's biggest asset is her experiance but right now that isn't an advantage at all. This is an election of the outsiders and Hills embodies the establishment. Her experiance was in the service of an establishment that is widely distrusted.

Everything she does will be examined and judged. Thats only fair since she has a lot of skeletons in the closet.
But thats where Trumps advantage comes in. People rightfully critisises Hillery harshly but Trump supporters seem largely immune to Trumps missteps. Every Time he blatendly lies, endorses fasism or mocks the disabled and war veterans people just smile and go "Oh what had that silly boy done now"

Thats a VERY powerful boon to have.

There shouldn't be a limit to how long somebody can be president for. #PleaseAmericaNeedsObamaAndIAmNotEvenAmericanButIFeelSoSorryForThemIThinkWeShouldBendTheRulesForThemJustThisOnceForEverybodysSake

Term limits are extremely necessary. Incumbents are notoriously difficult to dislodge and you need a way to clear the blockage out sometimes. Personally, I think they should have them in Congress, too. Keep people from getting too ingrained. We have people who have served in Congress for 30+ years and while some are great (Sanders, for example), that's what gives you people like Strom Thurmond who was in Congress since shortly after the discovery of fire and was only able to be ousted when Van Helsing pulled down the drapes and bombarded him with sunlight.

I honestly think this is the one time where I will not vote. There is no point I get every vote counts but this election insults the intelligence of this country

Ask almost anyone why they're voting for Trump or Hillary, and most of them will tell you about how bad the other candidate is going to be, not what their candidate will actually do. That should give you a pretty good idea how most people feel about this election.

Ya know... i allways wondered why a bondage forum always needed to talk about politics in the first place but hey! it's the rights of the pepole to decide what they wanna talk about so lets get it:

I'l vote for Hillary as she is the less EVIL... i mean i would also love four more years of obama but pepole would not shut up about him being terrible at his job wich i personaly think is not true! but seriously i don't like hispanic pepole verry much but making a Wall between mexico and the USA is against the soul perpose of this contry as it's the land of freedom not stucked oppresion!

sure i'm not a fool i know that the border between mexico and Northern america is... quite a scandalous thing trust me i've been there but the wall will be worst as it will be the same as the wall inbetween Palestine and Israel... i can't let that happend...

Oh! one last thing! if you are asking why a frenchie is actually giving her statement it's because i am as much American than french! (double nationalities)

Is there an option for "I don't care 'cause I'm not American?"

Then why did you even post here in the first place?! Lol

And while you are at it: why politics on a bondage forum or is there an option "I don't care" I'm only here for bondage.❤

A little fantasy allowed:
If we one candidate (a new one amongst all the ones who are allready there who proposed). to add in a "Bondage and fetish" national day. Would you vote for him lol?

Probably not. The internet has a bit of a problem with remembering that its used by those that aren't American.

*I* remembered when I began this thread; this is why I chose the word 'prefer' in my question and not 'vote'. Because, as you non-Americans are constantly reminding us, who we choose for President - and indeed practically everything our elected leaders decide - affects the entire world and not just us Americans. And I did point out that I wanted opinions from everyone regardless of country of origin; not just Americans. You see, some of us DO care what the rest of the world thinks about us; just not enough of us - yet.

OK so Bozo the Clown has shipped a millionaire who can't get elected to Parliament ( Not even in Kent - you are now entering Thannet, put your watches back 40 years) to speak at a rally. He has been accepting money from the EU for years and behaving in an insulting manner to his fellow MEPS that makes we Brits cringe with embarrassment.

Now you've got him over there, please will you keep him?

California says it will secede if Donald Trump is elected.

Texas said the same about Obama too; won't happen.
And Trump's chances of winning the election are fading faster and further by the day; so I'm not worried about California either. Even if it happens, it would give many of us an alternative to Canada, which I hear has beefed up its immigration policies just in case of a Trump win.

I guess Texas is lucky I don't have access to a Tardis or superior technology.
I'd go back in time and install Barbara Jordan in an immortal android body
and get her elected President!

Just for icing on the cake, I'd repeal the 22nd amendment! If Texas didn't
like it, I'd have a bunch of cyborg Marines occupy the state and rename it
the state of Santa Ana! How would they like them apples?!

Its kind of worrying how Hillary is throwing her own windows in like that. This is the last chance to prevent Trump from becoming president. If he wins then its yet another blow a struggling world would have to swallow, a blow that will be sorely felt because of America's gigantic influence on the world.

A radical populist wolf becoming the most powerful man in the world will be a boon to populist wolves everywhere. With death squads on the Philippines, purges and Islamification in Turkey and the dismantlement of the EU in a time were the world is passing Europe by we can safely say the world can't handle any more extreme populism. If Trump wins its likely to positively effect the groups with the least ability(or even the desire) to properly handle power.

The thought of a complete political novice winning the presidency is scary enough in itself. What's Trump going to do against IS and Putin, how can he reign as president when he never held a single office before. The west is declining and its enemies are rising. Is this the guy that is to lead the civilized world?

It also sets a dangerous precedent. It is often said that the presidential elections are to much like a popularity show but if Trump wins the office can get further degraded to the ranks of a freak show. Which questionable celebrity will go next? Kanye west? Lady Gaga? Maybe a Kardashian.
