Part 1 -
For the show, since we knew one of the cast members, we had fantastic seats near the stage.
In this particular club, the stage was in the corner of the room, with a sort of walkway extending diagonally into the middle of the room, where there was a column surrounded by a second, smaller stage.
It was by this column where we were sitting during the show.
My cousin was a laugh as he delivered his lines with a healthy amount of improv and humour as well as a few innuendos to get the audience chuckling. However, he was not the star of the show, but merely introducing each act, though he did get his own act near the end.
There were several acts, but one of them was particularly memorable for me.
This act was the song/dance act of the gorgeous, seductive and playful Scarlett, a beautiful eighteen year old with flaming red hair and a body to die for.
She strutted up on stage, wearing a red leotard, scarlet stockings and one of those feathery scarves that you see on 1920's broadway starlets.
She moved her hips sensually to the music and had the audience - and me - transfixed.
Then she began to walk down the walkway, towards the column.
As she walked, Scarlett occasionally stopped to give random audience members attention.
One she brushed with her scarf, and another she gave a playful kick to.
But when she stopped by me, she gave me a smile and I knew she'd decided to latch onto me.
By this point another dancer was on stage, so no one saw as Scarlett turned my way.
She strutted to the edge of the stage and placed one heeled foot in my lap.
"Help me with my shoes, sweetie," she purred.
Wordlessly, I obeyed, pulling off one shoe, then the other.
Draping her scarf around my neck, Scarlett sat at the edge of the stage and braced her stockinged foot on my shoulder as she began pulling off her stockings.
I was speechless as she did so, keeping eye contact with me the whole way.
When she was done, she pushed one stocking, then the other into my mouth.
"Hold onto those," she purred. "I'll want them back later..."
And with that, she hopped up and strode barefoot back up the walkway.
She high-fived the other dancer and gave a last wave to the crowd, then disappeared backstage.
I dropped the stockings from my mouth and stared at them.
Inside one of them was a little piece of paper, with directions backstage to Scarlett's dressing room.
On the back was written "Come see me after the show, cutie," with a lipstick kiss punctuating the sentence.
At that moment I thought I had struck gold, and it didn't occur to me at that time that she didn't have time to write that during the performance.
Meaning she had prepared it in advance of the show.
And I didn't realise that this meant she had a plan.
