Elizabeth and Hyacinth (F/F)(Finished).

This is a short story based on the TV show, "Keeping Up Appearances". A friend lent me the DVD and I decided to write a little story about some of the characters.

Elizabeth Warden parked her car in her driveway and walked up to the front door of her modest country cottage. She had a black purse slung over her shoulder and she fumbled in it to find her keys. After she located them, she opened her front door and let herself in. Her brother, Emmet Warden, looked up from the piano where he was playing music. "Hi, Liz. Did you manage to put them back?" "No, the office was locked, so I couldn't do it. But I picked up the key from Mrs. Nugent on my way back and I'll do it tomorrow." "Make sure that you do it, Liz. If Mrs. Nugent finds out that you took them, you'll be in trouble." "Don't worry, I'll do it tomorrow before the garden competition. She's one of the judges, so she'll be there all day and I'm doing some volunteer work in her office tomorrow, so I can slip into the office early tomorrow and do it then." "Don't forget, Liz."

"I won't. By the way, how's the rose bush doing?" "Beautiful. I checked on her this morning and she's really bloomed." Elizabeth was pleased to hear this. Her beautiful garden was her pride and joy and she had entered it into the annual garden competition, which was being held tomorrow. However, the masterpiece of her garden was a large rose bush covered with yellow roses that she'd purchased and planted a few months ago. The roses had just come into full bloom, so Elizabeth was sure that her garden stood a good chance of winning the competition.

As she walked over to Emmet, she noticed, with some concern, that he had dark circles under his eyes. "Still not sleeping well?" "No. That awful Bucket woman from next door was singing until late last night and then after she stopped, I tried to sleep, but couldn't, so I tried those sleeping pills that the doctor gave me." "Do they work?" "Yes, but I only took one and it knocked me out. I've got a terrible headache now, so I don't think I'll be taking them again. I might give them to you and you can get rid of them for me."

Emmet dug into his pants pocket and handed Elizabeth a crumpled packet. Elizabeth took them from Emmet, slipped her purse off her shoulder and placed the packet inside. As she stepped back, Emmet noticed that Elizabeth had dressed up in one of her nicest outfits - a red satin blouse and a tight black skirt with sheer stockings and black high heels, which was very different to the flowered dresses that she usually wore.

"Why are you dressed up, Liz?" "Hyacinth invited me over for coffee this evening and I thought that I should dress up a bit." "I don't know why you go over there, Liz. You always end up breaking something." "I know, but I didn't like to refuse. Anyway, Hyacinth said that she had something to tell me." "Well, while you're over there, then maybe you could tell her to stop singing at night. It's driving me crazy."

"Emmet!"

Elizabeth looked at her watch. "Oh, it's later than I thought it was. I might just go over there now." Elizabeth grabbed her purse and hurried out of the door.

A moment later, she knocked on Hyacinth's front door. A minute later, it swung open to reveal Hyacinth Bucket. Hyacinth was a plump woman with short, curly brown hair and a smooth complexion. As usual, she was perfectly made up with foundation and pink lipstick and she was dressed in a tweed jacket with a white silk blouse under it, a crimson skirt that came to her knees, black shoes with a small heel and a pearl necklace. "Ah, Elizabeth! You're a little early. Do come in." Elizabeth entered the house and Hyacinth closed the front door behind them before walking down the hall and gesturing for Elizabeth to follow. As Elizabeth followed her down the hall, she was surprised to see a beautiful rose bush sitting in a large pot in the hall, which was decorated with yellow roses. It looked exactly like the rose bush that she had in her garden and she wondered how Hyacinth had found it as her own rose bush was quite rare and she had had to search for months before finding the exact one that she wanted.

Hyacinth ushered Elizabeth into the kitchen and said, "I'll just get my china cups out. They're my Royal Doulton ones with the hand painted periwinkles." Elizabeth said, "Are...are you sure that's a good idea, Hyacinth. It's just that...maybe a mug would be better." "Nonsense, dear. All I ask is that you be careful." Elizabeth's hands were already shaking, so she decided to distract herself and looked around the kitchen. That was when she noticed a pile of ropes neatly piled on the kitchen counter.

"What are those ropes for, Hyacinth?" "Oh, I've entered the garden competition tomorrow. I got Richard to tie some shade cloth over a few of my plants, so that they wouldn't get too much heat. He had to go away for work and won't be back for a few days, so he did it this morning before he left. Those ropes were left over and I haven't had the chance to put them away yet." Elizabeth said, "Hyacinth, I meant to ask. I noticed the beautiful rose bush that you have in your hall and I was just wondering where you got it from as it's very rare? I've actually got one that's exactly the same."

"That's exactly what I wanted to tell you, dear. I got a spade and dug that rose bush out of your garden this afternoon. Don't worry, I've planted it into that pot and you can have it back after tomorrow. I've got an empty spot in my garden and I realised that bush would be perfect for it. I didn't think you'd mind." Elizabeth was horrified to hear this and said, "But, Hyacinth, I've entered the competition too and I really need the prize money." "Don't be silly, dear. You'll find something else to enter. Besides, your garden doesn't really stand a chance next to my garden."

Elizabeth said firmly, "The answer is no. I want my bush back tonight." "You're not listening, dear. I said that you can have it back after tomorrow." Hyacinth turned her back to Elizabeth and started pouring water into the kettle while she placed two china cups on tiny saucers next to it.

Elizabeth clenched her fists. The problem was that being friends with Hyacinth was like being friends with a bulldozer. Hyacinth always had to have her own way and she usually got it because no-one ever stood up to her. She reached into her purse for a tissue in order to calm herself and that was when her fingers brushed something square. She took it out and looked at it. It was the packet of sleeping pills that Emmet had given her. Then she looked at the two tea cups next to Hyacinth and then at the ropes stacked on the kitchen counter.

Meanwhile Hyacinth was saying, "Did I tell you that Mrs. Nugent is coming over tomorrow for tea before the garden competition? Isn't that nice of her? I should really think about what to make for tea. Perhaps I should do some sandwiches?"

Hyacinth continued talking, but Elizabeth wasn't listening.

She had a plan to retrieve her rose bush and to stop Hyacinth interfering with her winning the garden competition...

Cormouth - I had actually never heard of this show until my friend lent the DVD to me. I found it to be very enjoyable and I agree that Hyacinth should get her just desserts.

Hyacinth had finished making the tea, so she poured it into the two cups and bought both cups and saucers back to the table. She placed one next to Elizabeth and then put the other one next to her chair. Suddenly the phone rang and Hyacinth said, "I've got to get that. Have some tea while I'm gone."

She hurried out of the room.

Elizabeth didn't let herself think about what she was doing. She opened her purse and took out the packet of sleeping pills. Emmet had said that one pill had knocked him out, so Elizabeth took two pills out of the packet. After tipping them into her hand, she took Hyacinth's cup and tipped both pills into it. Hyacinth had placed a spoon on each saucer for stirring, so Elizabeth took her own spoon and used it to push the pills further into the tea. She hastily stirred the tea and watched the pills dissolve into it.

Just as she placed the spoon back down and picked her cup up again, Hyacinth came back in and sat down. "It was a wrong number." Elizabeth's hands were shaking as she sipped her tea and she watched as Hyacinth took several large sips of tea that drained her cup. After Hyacinth had finished her tea, she said, "That's strange. It tasted a little bit bitter. Was your tea all right?" "Yes, mine is fine."

Thirty minutes later...

Elizabeth was sitting at the kitchen table feeling more and more anxious. Hyacinth had been talking endlessly about Mrs. Nugent and she hadn't shown any signs of tiredness. But all of a sudden, she stopped talking and yawned. Elizabeth sat up. "Are you feeling tired, Hyacinth?" "No, dear, I'm just..." Hyacinth paused and yawned again. Then she said, "That's funny, I seem to be feeling sleepy all of a sudden. Maybe you should go home now and I'll speak to you next time we have tea."

"All right." Elizabeth stood up and left the kitchen. She walked down the hall, but instead of leaving the house, she made a left at the front door and sat down on a chair in the lounge room. She waited for about five minutes before she turned around and went back into the kitchen only to find that Hyacinth was asleep at the kitchen table.

Elizabeth smiled to herself before she walked over and grabbed the loops of rope from the kitchen counter.

Several hours later...

Hyacinth slowly opened her eyes. Her head was throbbing. She was surprised to see the kitchen table in front of her. Then she saw Elizabeth sitting in a chair directly opposite her. "Hello, Hyacinth. I'm glad to see that you're awake. I was starting to get worried about you." Hyacinth tried to sit up and to her shock, she realised that she had been tied to her kitchen chair.

Her arms had been pulled over the backrest of the wooden chair and her wrists had been tied together with several loops of rope. Her elbows had also been bound together. When she tried to move her hands, she realised that they had been tied to the back of the chair. Rope had also been tied above and below her breasts and around the chair back, which secured her to the backrest of the chair. When she tried to kick out, she found that her ankles, knees and thighs had been bound together and her ankles had been tied to the left chair leg. More rope had been wound around her lap and to the seat of the chair.

Hyacinth tried struggling, but discovered that while the ropes weren't too tight, they were firmly tied and she couldn't escape them.

"What is the meaning of this, Elizabeth?!"

"Well, Hyacinth, I didn't want to resort to this, but taking my rose bush was my last straw. Now, I'm going to take my bush back home and put it back where it was before. You will stay tied up until tomorrow to ensure that you don't take it back."

"You'll never get away with this! Mrs. Nugent is coming to see me tomorrow and she'll untie me then."

"I doubt it. You see, I found these in her desk the other day." Elizabeth reached into her purse and withdrew three glossy magazines. She placed them on the kitchen table and Hyacinth was horrified to see that each one had a picture of a bound and gagged woman on the cover.

"These are bondage magazines and I found this letter in one of them." Elizabeth opened one magazine and withdrew a sheet of paper. "Apparently, this is a letter to the editor about how she's always had a fantasy about discovering a woman in bondage. Somehow, I don't think Mrs. Nugent will be letting you go until much later tomorrow. I took these home the other day to show Emmet and he's been telling me to put them back."

Elizabeth took the letter and magazines and put them back into her purse. "I'll return these to her desk tomorrow morning. Don't worry, Hyacinth. If you're not free by tomorrow evening, then I'll come over and untie you myself. However, I need to make sure that you stay quiet until then."

Elizabeth left the room and returned with two silk scarves and a notepad and a pen.

She placed all the items on the kitchen table, apart from one of the scarves, which she folded into a square.

"Open wide."

"No, that's my favourite scarf and it was really expensive and..."

Hyacinth's protest was cut off as Elizabeth stuffed the scarf into her mouth and covered her mouth with her hand as she took the second scarf and tied a knot in the middle of it. The knot was then pushed into Hyacinth's mouth and Elizabeth tied the two ends of the scarf together behind Hyacinth's head to hold the first scarf in.

Elizabeth then took the notepad and pen. She tore a sheet off the notepad before sitting down in her chair and writing a note:

Mrs. Nugent,

I know that you must be shocked to find me like this. The truth is that I have tied myself up and gagged myself because I actually have a keen interest in bondage. Something tells me that you feel the same way. I hope that's true. When you find me, please do not untie me for a few hours. I'm sure that we can both appreciate the situation that I am in.

Hyacinth Bouquet.

Elizabeth placed the note down on the kitchen table under one of the cups where it could be easily seen and said, "Well, goodnight, Hyacinth." She laughed and walked out of the kitchen and a moment later, Hyacinth heard the front door opening and closing.

For the next couple of hours, Hyacinth struggled against her ropes to no avail. Finally, she fell asleep out of exhaustion.

In the morning...

Hyacinth woke up. The kitchen clock said that it was 9AM in the morning. Hyacinth groaned to herself. She would be completely humiliated when Mrs. Nugent found her like this.

That was when Hyacinth heard the front door open and close. She sat up. Maybe Elizabeth had decided to come and untie her after all. She heard high heels clicking down the hall towards the kitchen.

But, to her shock, her sister, Rose, entered the kitchen.

Rose was one of Hyacinth's three sisters and she was a slim woman with blonde hair that fell to her shoulders. Rose was younger than Hyacinth and was a good-looking woman who always wore too much makeup and pink lipstick. She was wearing a black miniskirt, black stockings, black high heels and a black blouse all of which showed off her sexy legs and figure to perfection.

I am also a fan of the show but my fantasies were about Rose, she is the sort of trashy looking woman that was the inspiration for the bondage daydreams of many young men.

As soon as Rose entered the kitchen, she was completely shocked to see Hyacinth bound and gagged to the chair. She hurried over. "What's happened?!" "MMMMPPPHHHHHHH!" "It's OK. I'll untie you."

As Rose reached for the ropes binding Hyacinth, her eyes fell on the note that Elizabeth had left behind. "What's this?" She picked it up and read it. To Hyacinth's horror, a knowing smile crept over Rose's face. Rose stepped back and looked at Hyacinth. "You know, I never thought you would be into something like this, but one of my gentleman friends used to say that still waters run deep." Hyacinth shook her head frantically, but Rose misunderstood. "We actually came to tell you that Daddy was missing again, but I'll send Onslow and Daisy on to find him and then we can deal with this together."

Rose ran to the front door and yelled out to Onslow and Daisy who had parked Onslow's car just outside Hyacinth's house, "Hyacinth's not here. But I'll wait here, just in case Daddy decides to come back." Onslow nodded and waved before he drove off with Daisy.

Rose smiled to herself and closed the front door behind her before returning to Hyacinth. "Don't worry, I got rid of them." "MMMMPHHHHHH." Once again, Rose misunderstood. "It's OK. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Look, I've done a few things like this with my gentleman friends before. I won't tell anyone about this and you can enjoy your time with Mrs. Nugent. But, I have to say that tie up job could do with some work."

Rose carefully moved around Hyacinth's chair and pulled at all the knots to ensure that they were tight before she said. "Hmmm." Just them she saw a few spare loops of rope that Elizabeth had left on the kitchen counter. She took one of them and tied one end around Hyacinth's waist. Hyacinth had no idea what Rose was doing and kept struggling as Rose carefully tied several knots in the middle of the rope to create a line of knots. Rose placed her hand over Hyacinth's mouth on top of the gag. "Shhhhh. I'm not going to hurt you. This is just something that one of my gentlemen friends showed me once." After Rose had finished with her knots, she moved Hyacinth's skirt up and drew the end of the rope in between Hyacinth's legs and drew it up at the back of the chair. She then took hold of Hyacinth's tied wrists and tied the end of the rope to the rope that was binding Hyacinth's wrists.

Hyacinth tried to struggle and moaned. "This is called a crotch rope and it's very pleasurable." Rose then leaned over to Hyacinth and carefully loosened the rope around her breasts before undoing several buttons on her silk blouse and pulling it open to expose her bra and breasts. After Rose had adjusted Hyacinth's blouse to her satisfaction, she retied the ropes around Hyacinth's breasts. Rose took a deep breath. Hyacinth couldn't take it anymore and screamed into her gag.

The problem was that Elizabeth had created a very efficient gag, so the only thing that came out were several MMMMPHHHHs. Rose looked thoughtful and said, "I have to get back to Onslow and Daisy, but before I go, I think that gag needs some work. Rose searched through the kitchen drawers until she found an old roll of duct tape and returned to Hyacinth.

Hyacinth shook her head, so Rose playfully slapped her thigh. There was nothing that she could do to stop Rose from tearing several pieces of duct tape off the roll and plastering them over her lips. When Rose had finished, she smoothed down the tape with both of her hands and said, "I've got to go now. But, tell me what happened the next time you drop by."

Rose left the kitchen and hurried out of the front door.

Several hours later...

Elizabeth and Emmet arrived home In their car. As they got out and walked up the driveway, Emmet said thoughtfully. "It's strange that Hyacinth missed the garden competition today and the prize ceremony at the town hall. I thought for sure that she'd be entering. Elizabeth didn't say anything and entered the house.

Just as Emmet was about to go in after her, he saw the front door of Hyacinth's house opening. He stared in surprise as a good-looking blonde woman in a beige suit, white blouse, lacy stockings and beige high heels left the house. Her hair was pulled up into a knot and she had a big smile on her face. She walked down the driveway and got into a white car parked at the side of the road. Before she drove away, she called out "Bye, Emmet." "Bye, Mrs. Nugent.

A moment later, Hyacinth came out of the house and Emmet stared at her in surprise. Hyacinth was always perfectly dressed and groomed, but today, she looked like a complete mess. Her face was sweaty and her makeup was all smudged and she was wearing a crumpled silk blouse and a wrinkled jacket. When Hyacinth saw Emmet looking at her, her face flushed red and she hastily ran back into her house, shutting the front door behind her.

In bewilderment, Emmet walked into his house where Elizabeth was counting out the prize money that she had won in the garden competition. "Liz, I just saw the strangest thing." "Hmm?"

"I just saw Mrs. Nugent and Hyacinth leaving her house. They must have been in there all day. I wonder what they could possibly have been doing?"

Elizabeth was a honest person, so the answer that she gave Emmet was completely true.

"I guess that they must have gotten a little tied up."

The End.

It's nice to see that Hyacinth finally got what she deserved. It was a nice twist to have her own sister Rose add to what Elizabeth had already started. And as for Mrs. Nugent it sounds like she got what she deserved too! Nice story, I am anxiously awaiting your next one.
