NOTE: All contained in this story is fiction. Nothing you see her is even reflective of my life except having ripped off names from people I've met over the years.
My wife went away for a while. It was July, and I was on a week's vacation. She wanted me to spend it just me and the kids, so she arranged to go vacationing in New York (ugh my bank account)... Poughkeepsie I think. Anyway, she was leaving on Saturday and returning on Sunday. I had always allowed to kids to play TUGs behind her back... it wasn't that I thought she'd end it, but it was rather embarrassing for me to explain to her that the kids got it from me and that it wasn't just restricted to our bedroom the day she found out. Anyway, even before marriage, I had been slowly accumulating a few hundred feet of soft rope, a couple dozen rolls of duct tape, bandanas, and socks for when I introduced them to TUGs. I always figured you needed enough each of tape, rope, and bandanas where you could use all of just one of those items to effectively bind a person at their ankles, knees, thighs, arms, elbows, stuffing, gag, blindfold, hogtie. That's what about 10 bandanas = 25 feet of rope (yes, you can gag and blindfold with rope uncomfortably) = roll of duct tape. I had 8 kids and a wife to deal with, so that's a LOT of material.
I almost forgot to introduce you to the kids. I have, very conveniently and perfectly for this story, four girls and four boys. This is just one of the stories involving them, and I hope to write more than this long multi-parter in the future.
The girls: Anna, aged 16; Kate, aged 14; Sara and Rachel, twins aged 10
The boys: Paul, aged 15; John, aged 13; James, aged 11; and Eric aged 9
Yeah, they came in a short span, but that doesn't mean they didn't take turns getting introduced to TUGs. I started introducing them when Paul turned 8 so that just he and Anna could play them without their siblings knowing. As each one turned 8, they got added. However, this was mostly restricted to our large, but finished, basement which while lacking spiders due to good construction didn't lack mazes made of bins or nooks to hide in.
Anyway, I decided to let them have a war. Anna and Paul would be team captains, and they would be draft siblings as teammates. Each team had to have at least one boy and one girl on it. I told them the teams would be designated by the color of bandana they wore on their heads (could be worn either to cover the head or as a head band, but on top of the head). Captains chose their colors, and they couldn't choose the same color. The goal was to capture the members of the other team. The team that captured more at the end of the day won. Prize was doing no chores the next day with the losers doing their chores. At the end, the team that won the more days (9 days total to win from) didn't do their chores for a week with the losers doing their chores.
Captured members were to be tied up, gagged, blindfolded, and presented to me. They would be left with me with the rope leads, and I would watch them to make sure they didn't get hurt and that they weren't bound too tight. Evidence of either violation would involve the person being released to their team rather than being left on their heads. Captured victims were to have their bandana left on their head for ID purposes.
The people captured had to be kept as the "hostages"; that is, they were captured by the other team and could be rescued by their teammates during play by a "rescue mission," which would be organized by me. If a rescue attempt failed, the captured members were to unable to be rescued for the lest and be untied and released with having to wear their bandana around their neck rather than on their head for the rest of the day (unless of course they wanted to asked to stay tied up) so that they could continue with their lives. If a person had been captured and hadn't been presented to me yet, they could be rescued at anytime by their teammates. If a person wanted to take a break from playing (no more than one hour at a time, and no more than 3 hours allowed during the day), they would put their bandana around their neck.
"Capturing" someone involved a two-hand touch from behind, at which point you were considered "captured." At this point, the captured could still shout for help even though he wasn't allowed to run, so I advised the kids to "gag quickly." At this point, the person could be tied up, and brought to me, where they would then finish being tied in the "safe zone," my den. I even left seven chairs in their for their pleasure

I gave each captain a box of materials which included adequate bandanas, rope, and duct tape, enough to bind, gag, and blindfold every member of the opposing team. I told the captains to plan accordingly. [Note: We had to be sneaky for my wife to not know.] I told them I would drop their Mom off at the airport at 5PM on Friday and return for the draft. Lastly, I told them that official game time was from 8AM-8PM, except on the last Sunday, when game time ended at 4PM so that I could pick up their Mom. Each captain's bedroom was their headquarters and safe zone for them, but not for the other team.
I dropped my lovely wife off and came home for the draft. Here are the teams as chosen:
Anna chose: Kate, James, and Sara, and purple bandanas to look girly (sorry James)
Paul chose: John, Rachel, and Eric, and green bandanas (to compromise with Rachel by choosing a color both guys and girls like)
Let me help you understand my children better (before raising eyebrows we're Catholic). I hope from this that you can almost see them in your mind.
Anna is a 16-year old who wears woman's jeans, a blouse, and sneakers. She is about 5' 3" with long dark brown hair. She weighs about 130 lb and has the face of beautiful young lady. Does everything better than Paul, irritating him to no end. Wears her bandana like a headscarf.
Kate is a 14-year old who wears long skirts and blouses with little to no cleavage. She is almost a carbon copy of her older sister except that she's 5' 2". Definitely smarter than all her siblings. Wears her bandana like a headband to keep her hair back.
James is an 11-year old with a strong arm. He plays baseball, and wears cargo shorts with a t-shirt. He's 5' tall and weighs 125 lb. He has light brown hair that comes from his mother's side somewhere... probably the gorilla, I mean my mother-in-law. Typically athlete with headband style bandana
Rachel is one of the 10-year old twins. She (unlike Sara) admires Kate and dresses the same. About 4' 3" and 85 lb. She has light brown hair like James. Wears her bandana like a headband to keep her hair back because Kate does.
Paul is a 15-year old long-distance runner, but not a track star. Typically wears jeans and polo shirts (to make himself sweat the candy bars off he claims). He is 5' 8" with the same dark brown hair as his sister, and weighs 140 lb. Wears contacts or glasses depending on the day. Wears his bandana like a headband.
John is a 14-year old nerd. He likes sports, but doesn't play. Like James, wears cargo shorts and a t-shirt. Also 5' 8", but has jet black hair from his great-grandfather (only relative with that color). Weighs about 145 lb. Amazingly, he wears no glasses or contacts. Great strategist. Wears his bandana like a head scarf.
Sara is Rachel's identical twin. She likes her oldest sister better and alternates between skirts and shorts. Only difference is she's a little chubbier at 90 lb. She is the sneaky one who will take you by surprise. Wears her bandana like a head scarf.
Eric is the youngest at 9-years old. He's basically a 9-year old version of Paul, complete with a love of speed, but instead plays baseball like James. Dresses like Paul under the same claims. He's tall for his age though at 4' 7". Weights 115 lb. Wears his bandana like a headband.
Feedback welcome. I will try to go one day at a time on the parts, but there is no guarantee how many days will be between each part as I am very busy. I will try to be obvious when I switch between first person and third person omnipotent.
Two stories and a basement. 3700 square feet. Two teams with lots of rope. Who will win?
