Gothic Evening

Postby Gemscot » Wed Nov 17, 2010 12:16 pm

On a mild Tuesday evening, Richard was sat in the medium-sized and immaculate gothic living room of his gothic home talking to Jason, Gemma and Paul over coffee.
Richard was a tall and well-built, quite muscular and good-looking young man of twenty-two, with short spiky jet black hair. He wore a loose-fitting black tee-shirt with a multi-tone grey picture and lettering on the front, which was not tucked into black leather jeans with a gleaming metal-studded black leather belt, and black socks with white-striped black leather trainers. He wore a gleaming metal-studded black leather collar round his neck, with matching straps on both wrists.
Jason was wearing a black sweatshirt over a black tee-shirt, with black, grey and white ‘Urban Camouflage’ combat trousers and gleaming black leather Dr Marten’s ankle-height boots.
Gemma was wearing a loose-fitting black ‘Adidas’ hooded top, over a white-striped black ‘Adidas’ teee-shirt tucked neatly into skin-tight faded black denim jeans, and white socks with black leather trainers.
Paul was wearing a black ‘Adidas’ sweatshirt over a grey and black ‘Adidas’ tee-shirt, which were not tucked into loose-fitting white-striped black ‘Adidas’ tracksuit trousers, and black socks with white-striped black ‘Adidas’ leather trainers.
“I was amazed when Jason told me he was into tie up games!” Richard exclaimed, drinking his coffee. “I was even more surprised when he told me had had friends who were into that as well.”
“I’ve been tying Paul up for about eight years now.” Gemma replied, exchanging a nod of agreement with her brother. “When Allistair came to us, it wasn’t long before he showed an interest and enjoys it as much as the rest of us, which is surprising considering.”
“If you still want to go through with it, I’ll take you to the…..guest room!” Richard laughed, putting his cup on the tray on the coffee table.
Gemma, Paul and Jason got up and followed Richard into the small gothic kitchen. Richard opened the door to the cellar and switched the light on as he lead his guests down the steep and narrow, dimly-lit stairs.
The cellar was a moderately sized rectangular room with no windows and just one hopelessly inadequate 40 watt bulb for light. Along all the walls at about head-height were hefty iron manacles attached to the wall on short hefty chains. In the centre of the room, raised off the floor by bricks, two large rectangular red and black wooden boxes lay side by side.
“These are standard class” Richard announced, gesturing and the manacles on the walls. “The boxes are first class.”
“Interesting!” Paul exclaimed.
Richard opened the first box to reveal a padded red interior. The base, sides and lid had foam padding covered with red PVC and even a red PVC cushion.
“This is so weird but cool!” Jason exclaimed, admiring the whole scene.
“I was chatting to Carl this morning on messenger, and I said to him it’s so important families communicate!” Gemma announced, smiling at Jason. “Little did we realise how true this is of you two.”
“So when you have sleepovers you use this room?” Paul asked.
“We spend the evening enjoying vampire movies and eating and drinking.” Richard explained. “When we go to bed, our guests are chained to the walls, and me and Lisa sleep in the coffins. We release them next morning and give them a full Scottish breakfast.”
“Fantastic!” Paul exclaimed admiringly.
“Do you want to try the chains?” Richard asked.
Richard led them over to the wall opposite the stairs and directed everyone to stand with their backs against the wall and hold their arms up. When he had finished, Gemma, Paul and Jason were securely manacled to the wall side by side.
“Back in an hour!” Richard exclaimed, smiling at his guests.
Richard turned the light out and shut the cellar door as he left, leaving his guests in total darkness.

An eternity seemed to pass before the light went back on and Richard returned to his guests, smiling all the time.
“How was that?” Richard asked, as he released Gemma, Paul and Jason in that order.
“Great fun!” Jason exclaimed. “Can we do it again sometime?”
“Of course you can!” Richard laughed, releasing his cousin. “You can even do a sleepover if you’re man enough!”
“Tina would love this!” Paul exclaimed.
“Who’s Tina?” Richard asked.
“My girlfriend’s younger cousin.” Paul replied. “She prefers chains to ropes!”
“Bring her next time!” Richard announced.
Gemma, Paul and Jason followed Richard back up into the comfortable gothic lounge of Richard’s home.

Well I can't recall a thing known as "Goth" in my ancient long ago in a youth far far away but I love NCIS (esp. the Goth girl!) and I enjoy this story :-)

thanks for the writeup Gemma. I'm glad you enjoyed the evening, and equally glad you decided to share it. It was a delightful surprise to see my name mentioned as a cameo appearance. Thanks!

Hmmm, interesting, from what point of view are you narrating, it sounds third person, but in that case, it would be highly unlikely it is a true story
