A New Year’s Resolution

Postby LordNelson » Fri Dec 20, 2013 12:10 pm

I joined this site several months ago after browsing as a visitor for many years. I have nothing but positive things to say about it except for one thing. I have recently read several people comment that they are discouraged and disappointed at the lack of feedback they are getting when they post a story.
For many people joining this site is not easy and making contributions is even harder. When they do make an effort it would be nice to have it acknowledged.

If you can find the time to read a posting surely you can find a minute or two to make a comment. Let someone know that you like what they have written. There is no need for an in depth analysis or a lengthy critique; just a short note will do.

I have never been much for New Year’s resolutions; I’ve always felt that if my life needs adjustment I will do it immediately rather than wait until the last minute of the last day of the year. It just works out to be convenient that with the end of the year so close it will give all of us some time to consider that new members need a bit of encouragement.

It would be a shame if some people gave up on this site. For many it is the only place where they can share their feelings with people who can appreciate them. All I ask is that when you read a posting if you like it take a few seconds to show it.

Hear, Hear! I've decided to try to leave at least two comments on stories each day.
I have also resolved not to post any more original stuff for quite some time due to the recent lack of reaction. There sees little point in posting if memebers are not iterested.
Boxer shorts are cool,
but little speedos rule!

OK, Lord Nelson and xtc---duly noted, and taken into consideration.
