Tonight was carnival night at the camp I'm working at. The premise of this night is that the camp divides into teams and builds makeshift carnival booths, and judges go around to see which team's booths are best. Anyways, enough backstory.
For the entirety of the night, I was walking around with a roll of duct tape to work on the booths. Just the sheer amount of 15 year-old girls that asked, no, BEGGED me to tape them up was astounding. However, as much as I would've wanted to, the fact of the matter is that I'm a counselor and they're all campers. No matter what the context, for me - a 20-year old male - to tape up a bunch of 15 year-old female campers, could only be construed by the senior staff as wrong in some way. So as much as it killed me, I had to refuse to tape these girls up, over and over and over again.
Has anybody else been in situations like this?
