On The Market UPDATED FEBRUARY 22ND 2015

I saw this picture by Jason Toddman and just couldn't help thinking . . .

ON THE MARKET

The Day Before The Sale

Tomorrow the Boys ‘Я’ Us sale was to start. All the stock was desperate to be sold before it started. You got all sorts of riff-raff trying to get something for nothing in the sale. The three boys could only hope that someone with real cash, who would know how to treat their slaves properly, would want to secure their purchase before the free-for-all started and the hoi-polloi arrived.
1) The Day Before The Sale.png
ARTWORK BY JASON TODDMAN

How could they make themselves look their best? It wasn’t easy for Ewan and Leo who had their hands drawn together above their heads and especially for Ewan who was already desperate for a pee. Dean would probably find it easier. He was the tallest and best cut of the three. He was spread-eagled against the wall but not that tightly and he could easily flex his athletic frame to impress prospective buyers with his muscular definition.

Leo could always hope that his desperate “cute little blonde” ploy and his wide, brown eyes would melt the heart of any lady buyers but Ewan really didn’t think he could stop himself fidgeting for long enough not to cause any prospective owners serious concerns about his suitability.

The doors opened and the last day before the sale started . . .

Jason you are just amazingly gifted. I have tried to draw people before, but all I get are bubble men(which I guess could be considered better than stick men.)

Thanks. As a kid, one of my major loves in life were comic books, so in order to create my own I learned to write AND draw. Never really made it into making comic books for a living though, though at least I got to meet a few people who did.

OK, like Topsy, it just growed.
Jason Toddman drew the original picture and I simply couldn't resist adding an extended caption. A few more captions followed.
Jason suggested a direction for the continued story.
And so it went on.

The idea is that each "caption" has to be kept down to at most 250 words. For a vebose old git such as I, that is proving difficult.
I'm enjoying this collaboration as I hope are Jason's fans and any followers that my own work might enjoy.

ON THE MARKET

Dean’s Day

The Johnsons wanted a house-boy who could answer the door, serve at table and run errands. Dean stood as straight as he could and flexed. Mrs. Johnson was impressed by the look of the boy and the sales assistant asked her if she wanted his loin-cloth removed for further inspection. She declined but asked for his gag to be removed. Once she heard his silky voice and gentle West-Indian accent, the deal was struck.

The Johnsons left and the financial business was settled. His gag was replaced and Dean was stripped and put into the small white swim-briefs that his new owners had requested. He was taken down, his wrists close-shackled behind him, and his ankles padlocked together. Prior to being packed for delivery, a metal collar was fastened round his neck once his owners’ names and address had been engraved upon it. That would stay put until they had no more use for him when it would have to be cut off and he would be put back on the market.

The packing crate was brought in, a wooden box not much more than a 70 centimetre cube with holes cut into it. Dean was lifted into it and forced to curl up to fit. The lid was fitted and nailed into place.

Dean was taken away on a fork-lift ready for delivery.

ON THE MARKET

Leo’s Luck

When the Roberts family arrived, they were looking for a pet as a birthday surprise for their daughter. Leo spotted his chance and those big, brown eyes managed to look irresistibly cute in spite of the gag obscuring his lower face and forcing his jaws open.

Mr. Roberts didn’t waste much time getting down to business and asked for Leo to be stripped. A slave had to be prepared for worse indignities than that. The Roberts family looked over Leo’s documents and decided that he would be most suitable but that they’d only take him if he had a chastity cage fitted first. They didn’t want any unfortunate accidents. Leo wasn’t looking forward to that but, if it was that or be put in the sale, there was no doubt about what he preferred.

Slaves were spared no indignities and a delivery worker immediately enclosed Leo’s private parts as was specified by his new owners and dressed him in loose, but not very long, white, cotton shorts once his ankle chain had been removed.

The packing crate arrived and Leo was loaded in the same way as Dean but, his crate being smaller, he had no more spare room in spite of being smaller himself. The delivery teams were experienced and skilled when it came to judging suitable crate sizes.

Now I need to know what support this series is enjoying. I don't feel justified in making such demands upon Jason's time if we aren't getting feedback. Thanks to those who have commented so far. I know how annoying it is when writers constantly say, "Tell me how great I am or I won't continue." but, with all the views and so few, although highly apprerciated, comments, I don't know whether it's worth continuing. I am making considerable demands on Jason who, with all his talents, can't be expected to be clairvoyant in picking up the way I picture scenes. He often has to make several editions which, so far, he has done with no complaining. He even gets to sub-edit my writing in revenge!

I think I'll be feeling a bit fragile over the next few episodes due to the nature of the story. If anyone is not happy, how about pm-ing me? Or even if you are.

The next bit follows this whining posting. Should it be the last? Is it not going in an acceptable direction? What do you think?

ON THE MARKET

Ewan Alone

As usual, trading stopped at midday and Ewan was left on the shelf. He knew what would happen tomorrow and that there was no way round it. He dreaded going into the sale bin and dreaded even more being “remaindered” after that.

As Boys ‘Я’ Us closed for the day, the sales assistant got to the cubicle Ewan was in and stripped him ready for being taken to his barracks for the rest of the day and overnight. His gag was removed and a tight leather hood was laced and locked into place covering his eyes and ears but leaving his lower face free. The gag was replaced and Ewan’s wrists were padlocked behind him. The assistant slipped a rope lead round Ewan’s neck and led him to where he had left the other unsold slaves.

They were already tied together by their necks and all six were led away into the cellars of the shop. Once there the slaves were separated and their gags and hoods removed. The boys knew they had only five minutes before the gags were replaced again in which to eat like dogs from the food bowls on the floor and drink in the like manner.

They wasted no time and even Ewan ate before engaging in the micturition of which he was in desperate need.

ON THE MARKET

Stockroom Situation

Once they had eaten and taken water, all the stock was gagged again but allowed to move around freely for an hour’s exercise before being chained to the wall by their necks. Anyone who had not used the rudimentary toilet by then wouldn’t be able to do so until the morning. The chains were attached about a metre from the floor and were long enough to allow the stock to sit or stand or even to lie down. Ewan looked around to see what sort of boy had not been lucky enough to find an owner. Would he look good enough not to be left behind in the remainders tomorrow?

Eventually Ewan counted eight lots including himself. There were two hulking great youngsters, one blonde and one very dark, who must have been about seventeen years old and two who couldn’t have been more than ten years old, one of whom, even this far into his slavery, never stopped crying. The other three lads were about Ewan’s age. One was weedy with curly blonde hair and seemed to provide no competition but the other two were dark-haired and appeared to be brothers. They were of South Asian descent and both were well defined; one appeared to be slightly older than Ewan and the other about a year younger.

Eventually Ewan got to sleep.

ON THE MARKET

Stock Taking

In the morning sales assistants came into the stockroom and prepared the stock for the bargain bin. Gags were removed and breakfast was “served” in bowls and the stock was given five minutes to eat it before gags were replaced and a high-power hose was played over them and the cuffs were removed form their wrists and ankles. Anyone who paid sale prices didn’t get valuable shackles and collars with their purchases. Each lot had his wrists bound tightly behind him with leather thongs and raised into the small of his back by a halter round his neck. A number was then drawn on each lot’s chest and both shoulders with indelible marker.

Once the chain had been detached from the wall, each boy had the chance to relieve himself, as long as he was led by a chain, before the collar and chain was removed and replaced with a rope with a slip-knot in it. Blindfolds were simple strips of gorilla tape pushed efficiently into the contours of the face and the stock was then coffled by the ropes round their necks.

ARTWORK BY JASON TODDMAN

Ewan had no idea where he was in the coffle but did feel the slip-knot tighten and release many times as he and his fellow lots were led, still naked, to the bargain bin.

ON THE MARKET

The Bargain Bin

The bargain bin was a two-metre deep round pit in the sales floor with a fence and rail around the top at a convenient leaning height. The stock was separated and dropped into it none too gently where they were tended by two sales assistants. Each boy was forced to sit with his ankles crossed and a belt wrapped twice around them before being buckled.

The doors opened and the customers quickly came to the rail. They would point to any items that took their interest and an assistant would un-strap their ankles and haul them to their feet and show them off. If the customer was still interested, the lot would be lifted out by a hoist attached to a strap that was passed under his armpits and behind his back.
107 The Bargain Bin little.png
ARTWORK BY JASON TODDMAN

After close inspection the lot would then either be taken away by his new owner or he would be dropped back into the pit using the hoist and would have his ankles strapped together again. Tied like that it was difficult for the merchandise to show themselves off to their best advantage.

Each boy knew that, if he didn’t get sold in the sale, it was the pound after that and no one seemed to know what happened to anyone who was not adopted from there.
