Pardon me if this sounds ignorant but i had to Google Solihull to find out where the heck it is. I never heard of it before.
I was imagining some isolated Pacific island somewhere; not a medium-sized city in the middle of England! :geek:

Pardon me but Wikipedia says it is a large town. :big:

Even so it's bigger than Milton Keynes, Northampton and Portsmouth so I'm surprised I hadn't heard of it either.

I'm not sure about a desert island though. Not sure how much rope you could find there(!) :big:

Some peoples' idea of a large town would another person's medium-sized city. All depends on where you are and what the local standards are.
I myself live in the largest city in Maine. It has roughly 65,000 people, though surrounding towns and another city raise the area's population to about 200,000. That overall total is still less than the 'large town' of Solihull. Nevertheless, we call ourselves a small city.

That's like saying your own username implies that you're a smurf. :quirk:

Btw Solihull was actually voted the best area to live within the UK a few years back. That surprised me a little bit though it is quite a nice area really. I usually always thought Solihull is part of Birmingham but i suppose it isn't and i also believe the residents in Solihull doesn't want to be part of Birmingham.
