Out of curiosity

I was a WCW fan before WWF/WWE bought it. After that I lost all interests. I've been watching UFC lately and turned on TNA tonight and couldn't stand just how scripted wrestling is.

I moon o'er you, Inis Mona

I'll call you my home

I watched WWF when I was a teen (that is a while back), until it got really ridicolous (anyone remember "Doink the clown"?). Plus the biggest clown, "I have in my contract that I never loose" Hogan.
Then I switched over to WCW (Sting was great) until the Hogan-Clown appeared there, too.
For w hile I watched japanes leagues (much better wrestling than I had ever seen in any US league) but grossly my interest in that "sport" faded away.
It's basically made for teens and dumbed-down beer-filled people, and that sadly shows through.

I hear that from soo...... Many people and I see where they're coming from, Some of it's just downright awful lately. I wish I remembered some of the glory days in the late 90's... Oh welll

I think it was awful "in the glory days", too- however, I was much younger and much more easily impressable :)

Serious, to me Hulk Hogan destroyed any credits Pro Wrestling might have ever had. Other great ones- like Ric Flair- were not above loosing one and then, even to push some newcomer. Something Hogans ego would *never* allow.
