Rescue or Escape?

For those who like to be tied up, do you like escaping on your own or having to be freed more, generally speaking?

I prefer not being able to get free by myself; I enjoy being at someone else's mercy...

So definitely "rescue" for me!

I would like someone to come and rescue me.
You will have to subdue me to restrain me. I been a bad boy so make sure you torture me too with anything but pain.

put me in the rescue category too! although it would be best if the person coming to rescue me would get captured too...and we are tied up together...and then work our way out together. so, maybe a little of both.

I'm going slightly off-topic here (on my OWN thread, no less) but I like this scenario a lot if I'm the rescuer.

On that note, I'm definitely someone who wants to escape...eventually. It needs to be a struggle, and therefore a challenge, but I do want to win, and I see escaping as beating the bad guy/villainess, or at least my binder.

I was trained to escape on my own, but it's nice to be rescued every now and again

To date in my few real life experiences being the victim of a tieupgame, I was never strong enough or old enough to escape on my own. Once, though, a decade ago I did manage to escape from being tied hand and foot, gagged, blindfolded with my glasses removed, and shoved in a school locker and having it closed and a combination lock applied to the handle after school had ended for that week. How you ask me did I manage such a crazy escape? Alas I no longer remember except that no one ever knew I was even in the locker except the school's number one con artist since he did it to me when I refused to give him notes for every test in high school for the classes we shared.

Anyone here ever had to escape such a predicament? If so, hopefully you remember the escape details better then me.

The only school locker I was ever shoved into was in a friend's cellar nto at school, and I *let* him put me in there. I didn't escape either but had to be let out. No help there Shane. Sorry.
Being a rather large and reasonably strong boy, I possibly could have (eventually, given time) battered my way out (those lockers weren't all *that* sturdy*) had I really wanted to and if I hadn't been bound hand and foot at the time too. But I didn't and I was and besides I was fine with the situation.
Obviously I am one of those who don't even *try* to escape unless the tie is so pathetically bad it's all too easy! That hasn't happened very often unless the tier was totally inexperienced.

When I was about 10, I got lashed spreadeagled to an old farm cart wheel as part of a game that got a little out of hand when an older lad turned up. I tried everything to get out, and was desperate, but had to wait to be released. When I was, I realised that I wanted to escape myself, but wouldn't have tried too hard.

Perhaps I should write a true TUG story?

Sounds like it'd be a pretty interesting one to me. IMHO you should write about this. :D

Yes, you should write about this or other stories.

Same here, if a villain captures me and has me bound and blindfolded, I need a hero to rescue me.

And if the hero and villain happen to be the same person.... :quirk:

That was usually the case for me too, though not necessarily on the same occassion. One friend would tie me up and later another free me, and on another day the one who'd freed me would tie me up and the one who'd tied me up before would free me. Usually though they would be the same. I usually was in no hurry to be 'rescued' either... though there were occasional eeptions when Nature called (and wouldn't accept busy signals for an answer)!

Sounds like it is time to officially get "Superheroes" up and running again. Excuse me I have new nefarious schemes to hatch and heroic ideals to drill into my heroes. "vanishes in a gust of wind."

I could easily be a switch during a game such as capture the flag, cops and robbers, and other teamed tug games. My siblings and cousins with my friends used to play a long game where we attempt to capture the opposing team members by tying them up strictly in a hogtie, and getting them to base. Of course, the other team can capture our team members, and I usually ended up being captured and becoming a prisoner of the other team until someone dared to rescue me, and then our roles would switch and I get to rescue other people.

I liked to be tied tightly (yeah w/out loss of circulation! haha) and then slolwy released by my teasing partner (you pick the setting! ;) ). Or if I was loosely tied as part of RP scenario then would try to escape only to be caught again trying to free myself and retied tightly and then have to be set free. :D
