Just my opinion, but I think there is a huge difference between real life and fantasy. In a real robbery for example i'm pretty sure that (most of the time) there is little room for thought, let alone fantasy. Whereas in private life, bondage activities are/should be driven by preference and choice. Of course, there is no perfect substitute for a 'real life' experience that might fit the fantasy but with some effort and imagination, it is possible to set up and play out a scenario that is close enough that you can feel like it is the closest thing to 'real'.
The nature of a fantasy is a scenario that we are extremely excited by, imagine sometimes obsessively and long to experience. And yet, experiencing it is not always what we might have imagined. In my opinion, some fantasies are better left as a fantasy (I realize that most won't like that statement, I don't! and I wrote it lol).
The thing is, our minds are wonderfully creative and fully in our control. However, real life scenarios often come hand in hand with a multitude of unforeseen complications and can make us feel anything but in control. You only really get to find out for sure when/if your fantasy happens for real and lets face it, the last thing you want to feel is...disappointed!. A fantasy is a thing of wonder and so any real life experience will always have a hell of a lot to live up to.
You also have to bear in mind that, with respect, most stories on this site (including those listed under true experiences) are most likely based on fantasy or what the writer would 'like' to be reality. This is nothing bad at all, in fact it is very healthy and I believe it is one of the reasons that this site is so popular. Those of us with fantasies, also long for acceptance and understanding and I for one have found it here.
All the best.
