Hogtied on the High Prarie

Does anyone remember the U.S. comic strip Catfish? The daily strip ran from 1973 to 1994. Catfish was a cowpoke in the Old West who interacted with local townspeople, soldiers at the local Army fort and the local Indian tribe. I know the correct nomenclature is Native Americans in the U.S. and First Nations in Canada but that's the name we grew up with.

I'm not sure of the exact date, maybe it was in 1976, but there was a strip where the Lieutenant was captured by the local tribe. He is inside a teepee hogtied and gagged rather tight. It's Catfish to the rescue as he takes his sheath knife and cuts his way inside. The Lieutenant thinks to himself (as he obviously can't speak) "I'm being rescued, thank goodness!" Catfish takes one look at the prisoner and cracks up as he says "Gawsh Lieutenant, you look so silly! Har! Har! Har!" That outburst attracts the attention of a brave and in the last panel Catfish and the Lieutenant are in the same predicament hogtied and gagged side-by-side. I just wonder if any other comic strip fans remember that particular one.

I remember "Cow and Boy," and "Rick O'Shay."
