Favorite authors on this site?

Postby Matthewtheman » Mon Feb 23, 2015 12:04 pm

Let's talk about our favorite authors on this site. Try to mention the kind of stories the author writes (i.e. M/M, M/F. F/F, or F/M) so people will know if they write the kind of stories they're into.

Two of my favorite authors on this site are KP Presents and Mister Mistoffelees, who mainly write M/F and F/F, but have occasionally had M/M and F/M in their stories as well. I like their stories because they have both created a huge universe with them that not only includes great tie-up scenes, but likeable characters whom I care about for more than just what tie up situations they get into. They are what inspired me to write my current series, which is at 3 stories and counting, and takes place in a semi-post-apocalyptic future in which all the men died centuries ago due to a disease that only affected them, leaving the women to have to learn to manage without them, and as such is literally F/F only. I have yet to come up with a title for my series, but I hope to turn it into a massive series with numerous characters just like Mistoffelees's Snowden Snoops series or KP Presents's multiple series of stories.

LordNelson and skybird137, both of whom exclusively write M/F and F/F as far as I know, are some other authors whose works I've enjoyed.

I've also enjoyed the true stories of F/F authors TiedDancer, fungirlkatie, and Headmistress, the latter of whom has written several fictional F/F stories that I've also enjoyed.

Anyway, those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. What are some authors you guys like?

Jennifer and Kidnap Boy were two of my favorites, although I don't think either of them have been around for quite some time. I hardly ever read the stories anymore to tell the truth.

I can't believe nobody yet has mentioned Sarobah.

I've also enjoyed Kidnap Boy and Saphira.

Ah yes, sarobah. I knew I was forgetting someone. Her stories are great. I particularly enjoyed that island resort one.

Honoured! Thanks!

This is a hard one. There are quite a few skilled and prolific authors on this site.
The difficulty for me lies in differenciating these authors, from the few that produce works that I consistently enjoy (due to particular kinks and interests).

When I think of skilled authors, xtc, Jason Toddman, sarobah, chadmc90, Canuck33 and Oddfox come to mind...to name but a few.

But if I was to name my favourite authors, I'd have to go with; JHardcastle, Jack Roper, Humhumming, tiedup101, squirrel, jak2002003 and barefootethan (all of which produce M/M themed material).

JHardcastle and Jack Roper both produce fast paced, action-packed stories.
The villains are big and mean, the characters are rugged and the plots are just WILD...filled with twist and turns!
These two authors have truly mastered the art of keeping their readers on the edge of their seats, so-to-speak.

Humhumming produces slower paced stories and spends more time focusing on the emotional/psychological side of things. He has the ability to create depth of feeling in his characters, giving them an almost three-dimensional feel.
The author focuses on fewer characters, but spends more time fleshing them out into living/breathing figments of our imagination. His works are of particular interest to me because of the unfolding relationships between dominant and submissive characters. The psychological aspect combined with the kinky bondage play, makes for a fantastic chemistry.

Tiedup101, squirrel, jak2002003 and barefootethan's works are also of interest to me because of the quick paced bondage action. Their works are fun, descriptive and quite often, arousing as well.

Jason Toddman and Scottstud94 have also produced a number of works that I enjoy.

There are many good authors on this site...one for every taste.

Many thanks for the compliment, Matthew! It's good words from readers that keep up my energy to create! And as far as excellence here, you're quite right about KP, and sarobah is perhaps the most lyrical writer on this site. We should all have her facility of language and image...

You're welcome. And thanks for the comments on my stories. I'm very flattered that one of my inspirations enjoys them.
