What's your most memorable moment?

Postby ductapegagged » Fri Apr 10, 2015 8:53 pm

I'm curious: what's the most memorable moment in your life so far? Doesn't have to be TUG related, and you of course choose what you write. I'm really looking forward to hearing about some of your amazing stories, even if they might be sad. Mine would be a weekend Christian youth retreat that I went on at age 15. Changed my life forever and most defintely for the better.

Tie: When I had to crashland my cessna 177rg with 6 hrs of fuel on board (landing gear would not drop in place) walked away from it with only nicking one prop blade and cracking the windshield, Or
Scuba diving at 120 ft on the inside straits of Puget Sound (by Hornby Island) and swam over a low rise, running into a 17' 6 gill shark and took pics and petted him as he went off (and of course surfacing and after a careful count found my limbs were all still there...)

This is the 6 gill w/ a 15mm lens -- real close!

Wow, petting a shark is definitely memorable tony2 (although something I would never do!) and congrats Pointe Made on being accepted! I don't know much about ballet, but I understand it is very challenging and often underestimated.

I guess the FIRST thing that came to my mind that was most memorable was my oldest sister's wedding. Everybody remembers how perfect it was except for 3 or 4 of us who knew about several things that almost went horribly wrong . . but nothing horrible actually happend :?

How is that shark holding the selfie stick?
Boxer shorts are cool,
but little speedos rule!

Tony, weren't you a lawyer? (Barrister for U.K. readers.)

I've heard sharks never attack lawyers. Professional courtesy.

(Couldn't resist that.) T.T.

You're absolutely right! I've been diving with sharks since I was 16. Good training for a lawyer too!
