red marks_very embarassing!

Postby ana-tie91 » Sat Jun 25, 2011 3:57 pm

u know what im talking about! that was 2 days age, the previous night i was chatting with a guy about tie up things and discussion went into selfbondage,he suggested me about trying some methods to tie my own wrists with rope, i accepted and tried it out, not very complicated to do but i spent longer time -than usual time some of u may spend- to make some knots!!!
btw due to my lack of skill,it was a good but not perfect tying (thnx to the guy who may don't like to be named here) ; i usually don't use ropes, more often scarves and long bandannas, but not ropes...so i didn't check my wrists skin after undoing the knots..
the next morning _or that 2 days ago i mentioned_ i had to go and take part in a casual sitting of teachers in the school i work, it was about some discussions around the past term and other stuffs.
at the middle of that ,one of co workers poked on me and asked me about the red marks while pointing my wrists, which i just noticed ! oh God it was very bad...the rope marks remained and had changed to red wounds!
it was really embarrassing, i was really confused how to explain it, other times the marks were not that apparent and bold so i could just say:"oh these, i think it's because of my watch!"or" oh nothing, only hanged a heavy nylon bag from it" idon't know even could only say" wow, how it happened? i don't know ..."
but those marks were too obvious, the rope shape was recognizable !
i just wanted the earth to swallow me in... i was dying embarrassed,*sniffing* oh GOd
ahh, thnxfully i got to distract her and i just wish she never ask me again about it...i really don't know how answer if she does!

You'll quickly learn various things about being into stuff like this :) It's unfortunate but some people just need to have a set of lies ready for whenever things like this happen. I remember this one girl who went up to Philadelphia for this big meeting of people into being tickled and tied up and she told her parents that she was going to just visit a friend. It was her first time going to Philadelphia too. She never took the time to realize that her parents and family might have a ton of questions for her considering it's one hell of a historical city. So she got back and they started asking her about the city and when she had no answers, everyone got super suspicious and she ended up breaking down crying and just told them that she was up there "doing something, but nothing bad or illegal" and didn't want to talk about it.

I had someone come up from LA to where I live to do a bunch of ties and we had spent considerable time creating a story for our parents and friends in case they asked. If I recall, we had it down to the class in high school where we met. It was pretty funny because she had to plan her gasoline usage correctly because her parents got her gas bill and if they saw she got gas 150 miles north of where she was suppose to be going to school, they'd want to know what was going on.

If someone comes into the room I have all my stuff and asks why I have a bunch of rope laying around, well obviously it's for a catapult I built a while back and just never got rid of it.

yeah very funny... but seriously is there any way not to make skin marks...or just to make a bit less lasting??
if I use handcuffs then I need a whole day or more before they disappear
if I use ropes the result is rather the same...
if I use bandanas ....well I don't like bandans :P
and the same about the tape on my face....
I still remember one time, how I was embarrassed when, after a little self-session I went out home in a hurry.
Unluckily I didn't notice the skin marks on my face!
The first question a my friend asked me when we met was " hey.... what did you do? It seems you were gagged!"Truly I felt myself shivering for the shame... and I don't remember what damned lie I invented.
So... any suggestion? (also because summer doesn't help... :) )

One thing that works is to have aloe vera cream and when you get untied, rub it on the area that has rope burn, it will help heal quicker and reduce redness.

I recognize the embarassment.
Any way, you could first apply scarfs around your wrists (seperatly) before using the rope. It still leaves some marks (when in a strict tie), butmuch less than when you use rope on your bare skin.

One girl I tied up just stood their by the long mirror admiring the rope marks and remarking on them- it was quite stimulating how she looked at the marks fror ages.
Some women actually like the rope marks as they tell me it means the memory of being tied tight does not fade quickly and no, there was no irony in her voice!!

well it's not about me liking that or hating! i just feel embarrassed if some other people see that and ask me:
"oh Ana what happened to ur wrists, they're like have being tied up with rope!?"
i don't like others know about this u know!not all of them at least  that's why i don't want red marks, but u're right about it! red marks after being tied is like reminder of ur enjoyable time, but i like to keep it for myself :P

No matter who you run into, trying to explain ligature marks on your wrists is close to impossible - you're better off making up a story that sounds real, like, "Well, I babysat these two brats and they tied me up, but they're grounded for life now," than trying to come up with something on the spot. Let's face it, only ropes and other restraints leave marks like that, and a lot of people (thanks to crime shows) know what it looks like.

But you only get marks like that if you don't use enough rope. On self-ties, people typically only get one or two wraps around each wrist. When you pull that tight, it acts like a hangman's noose and leaves immediate marks. Doesn't matter what you use, you'll get the same results. You need more wraps of rope to even out the stress on the wrists.

When I did this tie-up: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=9843 she didn't have any marks afterward, and as you can see from the picture, she pretty tightly tied.

To hide marks in the future, I recommend those wide bangle bracelets - you might even figure out a way to connect them for fun later ;-)
Walk the mile first... then have the fun!
