The best material to tie someone?

What's in your opinion the best material to restrain a captive? And why?
What are you looking at? Finally put a gag in my mouth and play with me!

I'm very partial to rope, particularly 6 mm solid-braid nylon. It's a bit stretchy, but that's about its only drawback. It's much stronger than cotton, jute or hemp, and so can be used for suspension ties. It's also easy to wash and keep clean.

That said, if I wanted to restrain someone so they had no chance at all of escape, I'd probably go with steel cuffs and chains.

Heavy duty duct tape is good too

Rope: It's pretty much made to be very strong and tight.

Straight-jacket: Duh, literally made for the job.

Leather straps: Very hard to break once tied.

Cuffs: Depending on the material, but usually also very hard to break.
War, war never changes.

Scarves all The way. Nothing sexier. Second place for rope. Third for cuffs

Rope. Quarter inch cotton clothesline, to be specific.

Of course, there are good things to be said about using strips torn from a sheet,

Rope. 6 or 8mm hemp is my weapon of choice :)

Rope for the binds, socks for the gag. That's how I like to operate.

I personally like all the options except for rope and long socks. Rope because I do not have the expertise in it and long socks because I am not into that aspect of bondage.

Duct tape has a certain appeal but rope allows for the most complex ties by far.
