Why hands 1st?

Any reason why the hands are the 1st to be restrained?
You will have to subdue me to restrain me. I been a bad boy so make sure you torture me too with anything but pain.

Well, if you tie anything else first then the hands are still available to untie whatever has been tied. So, it's fairly logical that the hands get tied first, I think :)

I agree with Samantha, it is logical to tie the hands first because they are have the ability to untie knots better than any other body part, so once you get them restrained the rest is easier.

Well, I have to agree, its why in any tugs that I write about (including the RP us 2 are in) I do hands first, so they cant fight back. Also for someone who is not use to it, it will heavily restrict their ability to move.
Oh, a TUG! Do I have to play alone?

Additionally, if you don't tie the hands, then whoever you are restraining can try to fight you off.

Exactly, once the hands are tied first they can't really resist. Then a gag so they can't shout, and their feet so they can't run.

Bondage isn't bondage unless the hands are tied.

My buddy ties my feet 1st so I cannot run
Then, he whips my hands behind my back and ties it.

I always start with the wrists restrained first, just a logical progression so they don't get out of any other tying first.

To me, it depends on the scenario. If you're tying up a partner for aesthetics or a little "Let's see if you can escape" roleplay, I usually start with the ankles. Why? Purely for comfort reasons. If they're going to be tied for a while, then starting with the ankles/knees just makes them more comfortable.

If it's part of a power exchange, then tying the hands first (I prefer to even start with a blindfold here) makes them feel more helpless and excites those submissive feelings.

If it's part of a capture (burglar in the house, cops & robbers, etc.), then you have to tie the hands first, so it's more realistic AND they can't untie the other parts and escape.
