Chapter One: The First Mission
*West Point, New York. Air Force Base, Tuesday, 7:30 A.M*
The air base was buzzing with activity this fine Tuesday morning as the first missions of what the top brass called the "Specialist Training Sessions" was about go underway. A handful of elite pilots had been chosen to carry out missions of flying outside the country and dropping off packages to their contacts and heading back. It would test how well they could fly across the globe, but the trick was, none of them knew this was the first process of said training. In fact, none of them knew at all!
That said, all the pilots stood awaiting their orders from the flight commissioner who stood at the airfield with a clipboard in his hand.
"Okay, groups for today...", he started. This was the first group flight the pilots would have together. One pilot and one co-pilot in one biplane. "Andrews and Smith, Levine and Gold, Masters and Hart and finally Mathews and Jameson", he called out. "Sir, yes sir!", all eight pilots replied. Each went to a plane where the commander would hand them their package.
And now to focus on our two pilots of choice. The main pilot for this pair was William "Billy" Masters. Billy was a cocky, maybe even arrogant young man, but even his superiors had to admit he was one heck of a young pilot. With an athletic body trained by years of sports and physical exercise and a boyishly handsome face with golden-blonde hair and sky-blue eyes, Billy was dressed in a aviator's uniform of a black leather jacket, a red scarf, a pair of black leather gloves, a black belt, a pair of cream-colored jodhpur pants and a pair of black leather knee-high riding boots.
His co-pilot was a slightly older girl named Charlotte Hart. Charlotte was more even-headed, though still confident sure, and a skilled co-pilot. Both would make for one good flying team, it would seem. Charlotte was small and slim, though training from the military had also toned her body very well, with a gorgeous face, a headful of curly rusty-red hair with sapphire-like blue eyes. Charlotte also was dressed in a aviator's uniform of a brown leather jacket, a orange scarf, a pair of brown leather gloves, a black belt, a pair of beige-tan jodhpur pants and a pair of brown leather knee-high riding boots.
Both Billy and Charlotte stood at their plane, as the commissioner approached them. "Here you go. Be careful with this one. It's not weaponry or anything of the sort. It's something very, very important, understand? I can't tell you what it is", he told both. What was inside was an unmarked detonator but who knew what it was intended for. "We need you to safely deliver this to the general across seas."
"Already done sir!...Or, will be done..." Charlotte replied.
"What she said", Billy smiled as he took in hand, then saluted. "Ready, co-pilot?", he smiled at Charlotte.
"Ready!", Charlotte replied. She hadn't worked with Billy before nor did she know him that well. They were given the address and with that, Charlotte took the package and hopped into the biplane. "Should be a piece of cake."
"Sure, just point me in the right direction and I'll get us there before those commies even knew we were around", the ever-confident Billy told her as he climbed in. The place where both would be tasked with dropping off the package was in the country of Estonia, a place dangerously close to Russia.
"Okay, so looks like we're headed North-west my good man", Charlotte says charismatically. "I'm Charlotte Hart by the way, I know we know each other's names... it's just a formal greeting", she chuckled. After all, flying to Estonia wasn't a quick walk and getting to know her partner was a good idea.
"Sure, the name's Billy Masters", Billy introduced himself. "Nice to meet ya, Charlotte".
And so, after putting on their leather caps and goggles and making sure their equipment was all prepared, the two set off for the sky. It wasn't really a dangerous job, as nobody was ever in any ounce of trouble... until now of course.
"Not far from here Billy", Charlotte shouts over the wind.
After a couple hours of flying, when they were in Europe now, in Polish airspace, Billy noticed something in the clouds slightly behind them. "Hey, Charlotte, it might be my mind playing tricks on me, but keep your eyes peeled behind us, slightly to the left", he told her. "I think we might have some uninvited guests about to crash our party".
Charlotte looks behind just quick enough to see a barret turret being aimed at them. "Billy! Think fast!", she exclaims.
Billy evades it, but he sees eight biplanes around them. He could tell by their red paint and the Hammer and Sickle emblem on them they were Russian in origin. He wasn't sure how they knew that they were coming, but that didn't matter now! "Oh crap, it's an entire Russian Wolfpack!", he tells Charlotte. "Buckle in, this is going to be one hell of a ride!".
"Try to land if you can before they shoot us down!", Charlotte shouts out to him. But it didn't matter, as a bullet already clipped their wing, well a few even; enough to send them swirling downwards fast.
"All right, but you gotta hide the package and prepared for a fight when we do!", Billy shouts as he aims for some flatland.
They land safely despite the trouble and hop out of the plane instantly. "C'mon, we have to hurry!", Charlotte said.
"Damn, there's not much places to hide!", Billy said as they ran. The Russians were starting to touch down as well. "Do you have your pistol ready?", he asked.
"I do!", Charlotte replied, preparing her pistol in case she needed it - hoping she didn't. "Wait! Billy! A hangar up ahead!", she noticed. Perhaps this was some good luck!
But, both could hear the Russians hand landed and were running for them. "We better hope that hangar is friendly or else we can kiss our asses goodbye!", Billy says as they run to it.
They finally managed to arrive to it; the Russians now behind them. Inside, the place was empty, seemingly deserted. Charlotte was out of breath now after running for several miles, her pistol trained outside at the approaching Russians.
The leader, a young brown-haired man dressed in a black leather jacket, a black scarf, a pair of black leather gloves, a black belt, a pair of black leather jodhpur pants and a pair black leather knee-high riding boots, also wearing a cap with a skull emblem yelled.
"Give up now scouts! This is over!", he said in a thick Russian accent.
"All right, we need to think of a plan like now, Charlotte", Billy whispered. "There's about a dozen plus of them and only two of us".
"We could keep running but we can't do that forever", Charlotte admitted.
"Drop your weapons and come out with your hands up Americans!", The leader yelled at them.
Billy spyed on the Russians, Besides the male leader, the rest were all women wearing identical all-black pilot's uniforms. "And we can't surrender. Well...this sucks", Billy said.
Charlotte gritted her teeth. "This doesn't look good", she states. A few shots were fired from the Russians, causing Charlotte to duck to cover. "Damn it! They're going to kill us!"
"Charlotte, I hate to not go out swinging, but death is death. We might be able to escape from these clowns if they capture us", Billy admits. He hated to think such things, but even capture still had the possibility of escape.
Charlotte thinks it over but eventually both step out, dropping their guns to the ground below them and raising their arms.
"Perfect", the young Russian leader grins as they now enter the warehouse. "We're just here for the package Americans." he states as his female pilots pull up two wooden chairs and force Billy and Charlotte to sit on them.
"Sorry Commissar, but we don't know what you are talking about", Billy lies as he sees some of them get some rope...
Their hands were pulled forcefully behind the backs of the chair and bound firmly with the rope, next their torsos and upper arms were pinned them right to the chair; their leather jackets squeaking as the rope passed tightly around them. Finally, their booted legs were pulled together and bound. Charlotte had never been tied up or in a gun fight. So this was all new.
"We have no package!", she told them.
"Is that so? Funny, I thought I saw one you dropped it. The American girl, the one to my left, no?", the leader grins.
"Anyways, what's this talk about packages, we're just local tourists out for a once-relaxing fly", Billy tries to cover for both.
"I know why you're here", The pilot spits. "Don't lie to me Americans. You're both here to deliver a package. We know all about your plans. It's just a matter of finding it in the area", he said.
"You won't finding anything! We're clean!" Charlotte replies, struggling to the sound of squeaking leather in her seat.
"Is that so, then why are you here?", he asked condescendingly.
"Because when a bunch of planes shoot at you, the safest idea to avoid trouble is to land", Billy tells him the truth as the leather of his boots squeak against the ropes as he lightly struggles.
"Lies", He grimaces, sick of them at this point. "That's it, shut the Americans up. Then we search for package."
One of the female pilots wrenched a cloth between Billy's teeth tightly, tying it behind his head making a strong cleave gag. This was sealed in when she tore off a long strip of silver duct tape from a roll and plastered it tightly onto Billy's mouth, smoothing it down with her fingers.
The same was applied to Charlotte's mouth. A tight cleave gag followed by a long strip of tape stretching from cheek to cheek.
Charlotte protested, struggling in her chair, her tightly dressed legs; even tighter now, as the material stretched on the seat and the sound of her grunting efforts echoing around the empty hangar. "Mmmph mmph! Mmph!"
"Hmgph! Nmmpgh fmmpgh!", Billy grunted as he struggled as well. The sounds of leather of his jacket and boots rubbed against the ropes, his tight jodhpurs straining across his long, toned legs as he struggled.
Leaving both alone, the leader and his female pilots began searching the area around the hangar for the package Charlotte cleverly dropped. She looked over at Billy, the material of his pants stretched out to complete capacity on his legs too. She had never even imagined this would happen to them, ever!
"Mmph!" she moaned at him.
As cool and cocky as Billy was normally, he was a bit scared as he was never tied up and helpless like this. The Russians would never find the package on their own, but who knows what they'd do to them to find out? So, both pilots the other's hand to comfort eachother.
While Charlotte was frightened too, this nice gesture helped calm her down a little. Still, as nice as it was, she knew what needed to be done. Escape! She began to try and hop her chair over to Billy's back to try and untie his hands.
Billy also tried to hop over before the Russians could come back. "This is harder then it looks!", he thinks as he does so.
Once close enough, Charlotte began fiddling with the ropes binding Billy to the chair; trying to break the knot and grunting "mph mph!" with the effort.
Billy was trying to help Charlotte anyway he could as she tried to untied him, as time was of the essence!
The idea of being tied up with him was something that would normally appeal to Charlotte but given the circumstances... Well, let's just say she was more eager to escape. Finally, she made progress as she untied his hands.
"Ymmpgh!", Billy cheered as the rope fell from his leather gloved hands. In hindsight, without the danger both were in, this was kinda cool and sexy in it's own way, but Billy needed to act fast and untie Charlotte after untying himself.
Billy then removed his gag and started to untie his ankles. "Thanks for the help, Charlotte, you might us saved us both yet", he said once he was free.
Charlotte waited to be set free. As soon as Billy untied her hands and ankles, she pulled off her gag. "C'mon, we need to get that package and get out of here!"
"Agreed, partner, and avoid those commies to boot!", Billy said as he helped Charlotte up. "Or rather....Yeah, grab some rope, I got a plan", he told her.
"A plan?", Charlotte replied. They were pilots! Not soldiers or spies. "What do you have in mind?"
"All right, even if we get the package and take off, if those damn ruskies are around, so they'll just force us back down again", Billy said. "So we gotta sure they don't follow, right?", he hinted.
"Ah, so that's what the rope is for?", Charlotte asks with a smile.
"Okay Billy, I got your back!"
"All right, Charlotte, I'm real good at fighting, but you have to cover me as I grab them one by one, all right?", Billy asks as they head out, rope and other materials at hand. "They got guns and they took ours, so we gotta ambush them and tie them up, one by one".
Charlotte nodded. "I'm right with you Billy! Don't you worry." Slowly, they approached two of the female pilots from before.
The pilots were stretched out over the distance of the forest the package fell into. This one was a bit too far away from her partner for her own good. Billy snuck up, clamped his hand over her mouth and hooked one of her arms. "Gotcha, baby", he whispered in her ear as he dragged her over for Charlotte to tie her up.
Charlotte was at the ready, pulling the struggling woman's hands behind her back and tying them tightly with rope as Billy hand-gagged her to keep her quiet. "Sorry about this darling but we have important business to do", she whispered to her captive. "MMPH!" she muffles back angrily.
The pilot's all-black leather ensemble squeaked against the roped binding her gloved hands and booted feet together, but not enough for anybody to hear them. Billy takes some cloth and ties it tightly around her mouth. "This'll hold you".
"Mmph mmph!", the woman squirms in her binds, protesting angrily at the two Americans standing over her.
"The first one is down! Well done Billy!" Charlotte says happily, holding her hand out to be shook confidently.
"Thanks, Charlotte", Billy smiled as she shook his (rather-attractive) co-pilot's hand. "Okay, including her partner and the Captain, we have 15 Russians left. "No problem, right?".
"I have an idea, Billy. Let's use her as bait to get her partner over", Charlotte suggests. "Then we grab and tie her".
"I like the way you think! Okay, put her out in the open and let's wait for our dope to wander over, then we'll take care of them", Billy replies.
A few minutes later...
"Ludmilla? Ludmilla, where did you go?", the bound pilot's partner asked as she lost sight of her.
"HLLLLLLLMPGH!", Ludmilla screamed as her partner came over, not seeing Billy and Charlotte hiding behind her. "What the? Who did this to you?!", she asked.
"That would be us", Billy whispered as he clamped his hand over her mouth. "Not a word, lady".
Charlotte got to work as she got more rope and started to bind this lady's hands and legs too. soon, she also was bound and gagged.
"One full biplane duo down. Seven to go", Billy whispers as both Russian vixens "MMMMPGH!" and "MNNNPGH!" down on the ground.
"Right, let's finish the job, though", Charlotte replies. Several minutes and a lot of rope and ambushes later, only the Captain and his partner were left!
The second-in-command of the Wolfpack was a small, petite little thing. As Billy and Charlotte finished the pile of captives, the woman started to draw near.
"Six o'clock", Charlotte whispered to Billy. "I got her", he whispers back.
"Hello? Ludmilla? Bridgette? Anya? Sonya? Anyone there?", the woman asked nervously as a lasso caught her by the feet! "ooph!", she grunted as Charlotte pounced while Billy brought the rope over!
"Let g-mmmph!", the woman was cut off as Billy gagged her with a scarf as Charlotte finished binding her. "And now, it's just Captain Red all by his lonesome", Billy said as he dragged the woman over to her captive compatriots.
"He shouldn't be much of a problem. It's two on one Billy!", Charlotte chimed rather confident with herself in this field now.
"Shall we?"
"Yup, let's nab him", Billy nodded. The Captain was drawing near to where Charlotte had dropped the package. A pity his back was turned and Billy and Charlotte had found their pistols. "Hands up, Red", Billy ordered him.
He grimaced, slowly raising his arms. "Well, looks like you American escaped... fine...", he surrendered.
"And you found our package for us", Billy said as he disarmed the captain and brought his hands behind his back and held them firmly. "Charlotte, tie him up and gag him".
"Will do partner!" Charlotte replied, grabbing him tightly and pulling his hands behind his back to bind them.
"You won't get away with this Ameri-mmph!", as she soon gagged him and shoved him to the ground.
As he went down, Billy helped Charlotte tie him up. It was funny. He didn't look much older then Billy, so he guessed the young (and handsome) captain was a politician's son or something.
"Done and dusted Billy!" Charlotte states once they carried him over and bound every one of the Russians to another. "We got the package back and all!"
"Yup, and the Wolfpack are all nicely muzzled", Billy smiled. "Great job, Charlotte, let's get this thing where it needs to go ASAP".
"Right with you on that Billy!"m Charlotte replies but it looked like a long distance away from last they saw their plane. "C'mon, the quicker we move, the better!"
Leaving the bound and gagged Russian pilots to struggle and writhe within their bonds, Billy and Charlotte ran their way back to their biplane. "Man, I hope this was just a bad first time!", Billy said as both made some repair to the minor damage to their plane, unaware of what their careers would hold for them.
"It will be, don't worry about it so much Billy." Charlotte shot him a pleasing smile before hopping into the plane after they were finished.
And soon the plane was up and they were on their way to their goal. As he flew, Billy thought about Charlotte a bit. She was certainly reliable, and was a pretty face. Real nice, too. "Hmm, I just may have to watch out for her, or I might fall in love", Billy thought. "But, hey, she's a good kid and partner".
Charlotte thought of Billy too. He was capable, a nice guy, smart, funny and handsome to boot. A good partner to have.
"I think I see the town!", she said after about an hour. There were now in Estonian airpsace.
"Yup, I see it", Billy said as he made the landing. "All right, now just to find our contact", he added as they were on solid ground.
Charlotte hopped out of the plane. Both made sure the clearing site was safe and secure. "He shouldn't be that difficult to spot. C'mon, let's look around."
As they walked into a small town, a man in a longcoat waved them over. "I hear the kiwis are in bloom this time of year", Billy gave the code.
He nodded back. "It won't cost much to pluck them", he states his side of the code and takes the package before disappearing with another nod.
"Job done." Charlotte states. Yup, boy what a day. Our first mission and we have to have dealt with all that! Well, let's get out of here and back to base ASAP", Billy smiled as they headed back to the plane.
Charlotte would be happy to work with Billy again. Not only was it good to have company but even better that the company was so great. "Okay, let's get going!" she gave him a smile.
And so both started the long fly back to home base and home, their mission a success, minus a slight hiccup or two.
Later that day...
"Billy Masters and Charlotte Hart....yes, they have great potential", a man in a suit thought as he read their dossiers. He then signed "Approved for the Specialist Program" on both.
END OF CHAPTER ONE.
