Talk about exciting! What a predicament to get yourself into. I have been there myself.
May I make two criticisms? When writing you should break your paragraph into smaller segments. Have a separate unique thought or idea in each of the smaller paragraphs. That would make it much easier for your readers to understand and appreciate your writing without getting lost in the massive description.
Your descriptions are really good, by the way.
One observation that really bothers me is your habit of tipping yourself over while tightly lashed to a chair. That is exposing yourself to the possibility of serious injury. It seems to be the only action that places you at great risk. Just like you didn't foresee that you wouldn't find the scissors to free yourself, you could make a mistake while thrashing around and when tipping yourself over one of the wheels or legs of the chair could twist your fall a couple of inches, and you could knock yourself out, or as the chair goes over the scissors could be flipped up and you come down on the point.
Maybe its not likely but it COULD happen.
