Nope we sure don't although my parents did encounter one group of trick or treaters at our door.

The best part about being an adult is that I go out and buy my own damn candy whenever I feel like chocolate.

Okay, because of the nj snowstorm, 80% of towns in nj have postponed Halloween until Saturday so I'll tell you then.

According to Wikipedia by words and pictures, Halloween is a global holiday, but not given as much respect as most places do not get the day off.

It isn't strictly "American". It's hugely popular here in Quebec. Just to give you an idea, 175 costumed kids (yeah, I counted them!) rang my doorbell to get candies and chocolate. We also had a family party where the kids and adults were all costumed. It's big - and it's fun!

Seems one needs to relearn history again I fear. You must think off all of us as living in the southern United States. I am a proud dyed in the wool patriotic American but this year my neighborhood suffered an extreme drought of trick or treaters for Halloween. You can even call it Samhain or Day of the Dead too depending on your religious or eccentric viewpoints.

The original Americans were British seeking freedom from persecution.

The original Americans were British seeking freedom from persecution.

And for those younger than people who have no idea what that means, it means religious freedom.

halloween may not be strictly american, but it just isn't as popular in the netherlands.
