This actually happened on Friday in a school in Dublin. Reported in the newspapers and everything...
A schoolgirl in a posh Dublin private school was tied up and blindfolded, and left tied to a pole outside an all-boys school for half an hour.
The slender 16-year-old victim was set upon by a group of FIVE stronger 17 year old girls in a so-called end of year 'prank' at a top fee-paying south Dublin secondary school. Two of the bullies pinned her down while the others used cable cord to tie up her wrists and ankles. Her shoes were taken and discarded before she was blindfolded, bundled into a car and driven to the nearby boys school. There, she was roped to a pole in the driveway of the school, standing upright in her white knee socks. A bottle of water was thrown over her and she was left there for 30 minutes.
Sources at the school said the incident should not be confused with a 'prank' - 'These girls did this to a physically weaker girl just because they could. The victim is the sister of a nice boy who this group have picked on before. They seek out easy targets. They had been taunting the younger girl for weeks beforehand, warning her to "watch out at the end of term".'
In the end, she was freed by friends after a text from the perpetrators. It was a half day at the boys school so they were totally unaware of the incident.
As punishment, the bullies will not be allowed to attend their end of high school graduation ceremony.
