A Great and Quick view of my backyard --- Kauai

Postby tony2 » Wed Nov 12, 2014 9:12 am

For those of my friends here who were a bit curious about my casual references to where I live, I found this short video that covers it the best. :D
After viewing, if you want to visit to my guest bed, you'll have to bring your own handcuffs --- speedo optional... cheers

Interesting rainbow, the sun must have been quite high. I know, I'm sad.
But Tony, my friend, speedos are NEVER optional!
Boxer shorts are cool,
but little speedos rule!

My bad. You're right. Bring your speedo or a loin cloth may be provided instead.

One of the places I've always wanted to visit is Hawaii. This video just makes me more eager to smuggle myself on a plane and make it a reality. lol.

I've always wanted to go there too. Gosh, it's almost like a different world compared to New England! It's beautiful there. Lucky stiff.

Each Island is quite different from the others. Oahu is like Chicago with palm trees. 80% of Hawaii lives there. Hawaii Island or the Big Island is 5 climate zones from tropical to alpine snow skiing (with a bit of free running lave tossed in for good measure. Huge cattle ranch. Maui was 2 volcanoes that were close and filled in the gap. Dawn at the rim of a 5000' crater is to behold, as is the woopie ride down. Best snorkeling and diving in Hawaii is in the partial remains of a volcano crater just offshore. One of the last sugar mill and harvesting operations in Hawaii. Here on Kauai, we have 76 miles of sand beach --- more than all the rest put together. Kauai is the oldest and is called the Garden Island as you have seen in the video. We roll up the sidewalks at about 7pm so nightlife here is what you make it. Slow pace and relaxed. Seldom hear an auto horn --- if so it is usually a mainlander. Here it is considered rude.
Aloha

What it means???

words that make up Aloha.

alo, 1. sharing 2. in the present
oha, joyous affection, joy
ha, life energy, life, breath
Using Hawaiian language grammatical rules, we will translate this literally as "The joyful sharing of life energy in the present" or simply "Joyfully sharing life".

Enjoy --- and toss a snowball for me.

The title is a lie!

There were zero dinosaurs! :(

Seriously though that place is fucking beautiful and I wanna go now! I don't care how I'd be restrained I just wanna go!

Not so! After they did the 3rd Jurassic Park and the Temple of Doom the Dinos were shipped to Bikini Atoll as standins for the next couple of Godzilla movies. The only Dinosaur left here is probably me.
If my circumstance doesn't change until you get here there is an extra bed (assuming your chains will let you get to it  ).

I'll take the snowballs if y'all don't mind a few lobbed coconuts in return

The top of the mountain is the wettest place on earth: over 400 inches a year of rain. That's what feeds all the waterfalls here. There is a large swamp on the top of it and a hiking trail through it. There may still be a hobbit or two stuck in the marsh. Who knows....

Aloha cheers

I find it incredible that people really live in awesome places like this. It's magnificent.
You wanna trade places? Austria should be pretty cold and cloudy for the next few months. I'd like some warmth and sun.

Felix -- you're welcome to come and visit. Afraid you'll have to leave your wallaby home though.
It's starting to get cold here too. Last night it got down to 70F with high of about 82F. Water temp is about the same - never below 75F.
