What's an 'RP'

Postby putasockinit2 » Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:55 am

probably gonna sound really dum but anyway. On my short time on the site, I have had requests to roleplay. Does this mean pm'ing about how youd tie them up etc or does this actually mean meeting in real life. More likely to do the first than the last is the thing lol.

thx whoever answers :D

for me it's like writing a story but one of us is telling it from the tier side and the other person is telling it from the tiee side
Bound, gagged and blindfolded, all with silk scarves

A roleplay can be any of the things mentioned so far, but here and in this context usually refers to people exchanging pms about a TUG between them as if they were actually together. It can be as intimate as the two (or more) players mutually agree to have it be. Just for the sake of good taste take it no further than any of the other players agree to - just like you hopefully would in a real TUG.
Some rps don't even have to involve TUGs, and/or can involve fantasy roles as if you were playing a videogame while posted publicly. There's an entire section for RPs of this type; just scroll down to it and look in on some of those.

A roleplay is liek Jason say a "What if?" if you and the other person where together playing TUGs for making a example.
A very good roleplayer, waiting for play with you

Hi Katie, I've never done online RP before, but I would think if you're typing in dialogue and your RP partner is the tiee, once the gag goes on all he or she would have to type is MMMPH, MMMPH, MMMPH! :gag:

They can still indicate what they're doing (or trying to do), and express their thoughts and reactions to a situation. It doesn't have to be dialog only.
That was probably pretty obvious - but just in case you're being more literal than you sound, I figured I'd just mention that... :geek:

No Jase, just a little tongue-in-cheek, and a tight gag would definitely keep the tongue in cheek. :big: :gag:

I may be in the massive minority here but I just find role playing really frustrating, espcially if you're expected to be the "dom" and the other person just writes "mmmph" over and over while you put in all the work and imagination actually coming up with stuff.

The most frustrating thing is that it just makes you want the situation that you're describing to actually happen in real life, and the fact is most role plays are our fantasies that we think have spent time thinking about alot, therefore not really that likely to occur in reality.

This is how I feel anyway, the rest of you may just be able to take it for what it is - a bit of fun to pass the time. Personally I don't like to involve myself in them.

So... don't. No one says you have to. I know how you feel. I've been asked to participate in several of these myself, but I don't get much enjoyment out of them (especially from younger members, which RPing with would make me feel like a pervert) and usually just politely turn such offers down.
