I decided to try an attempt at writing a story too, as Jennifer had done for a story request. So here goes...

Main Characters:

Jade Nakamura – 5’4, 120 pounds. 30 years old. Black shoulder-length hair, brown eyes. Born in Japan, but brought to the United States at an early age. Leader of S.A.G.E. (Secret Agent Girls of Espionage). Martial Arts expert.

Ashley Fox – 5’6, 130 pounds. 28 years old. Long blonde hair, blue eyes. Born in the United States. Member of S.A.G.E. Weapons expert.

Tina Lockhart – 5’4, 125 pounds. 25 years old. Red shoulder-length hair, green eyes. Born in the United States. Member of S.A.G.E. Technology expert.

Vivian Liu – 5’2, 115 pounds. 28 years old. Long black hair, brown eyes. Born in the United States, of Chinese descent. Member of S.A.G.E. Scouting expert.

Alexandra LeReau – 5’5, 140 pounds, 34 years old. Short red hair, brown eyes. Born in France, but now lives in the United States. Founding member and director of S.A.G.E.

Chapter 1:

It was a clear, starry night. The water had felt so calm and pleasant and the view underwater was magnificent with the various kinds of fish swimming around. Vivian Liu was enjoying a night dive as she had just earned 2 weeks of vacation for herself.

“Ahh, it’s nice to be on vacation,” she thought to herself.

Swimming up to the surface, Vivian placed her goggles above her eyes on her forehead and made her way over to her boat. She was clad in typical scuba gear; a black wetsuit, oxygen tank, pink flippers, a weight belt and a pair of goggles. Once she got to the boat, she removed her flippers and climbed up the ladder onto the deck.

“Tom? Tom? Where are you?” she yelled out, wondering where her companion was. He was supposed to be manning the boat while she was diving. “He better not be drinking downstairs,” she muttered under her breath as she also shed her oxygen tank and weight belt. She then made her way to the cabin downstairs, leaving wet footprints behind her path. Once she got downstairs, she was alarmed to find her companion being trussed up by two Asian women, all clad in black ninja uniforms. Tom’s hands had been tied behind his back and one of the women was finishing tying his feet together. He also appeared to be unconscious.

“What are you doing? Who are you people?” Vivian exclaimed.

The woman who was finishing the tying said something in Japanese, as if instructing the other one. The other woman quickly took up a fighting stance and began to engage Vivian.

“Ok…you want a piece of me? Come get some!” Vivian said, and took up a counter stance to her opponent.

The ninja-clad woman made the first move, attempting to land a blow against Vivian. But Vivian, trained well from her colleagues at S.A.G.E., was able to block her punches and landed an open palm strike to the woman’s chest.

Enraged, the ninja landed a front kick to Vivian’s stomach, causing her to fall backwards onto the stairs.

“There’s not enough room down here…got to get upstairs,” she through to herself. She quickly bounded up the stairs with her attacker in pursuit.

The ninja continued her assault on Vivian, with an assortment of punches and kicks. Although she was able to block most of them, she caught a kick to the side of her body followed by a roundhouse kick to her face, knocking her to the ground. When she recovered and looked up, she found that the other woman from downstairs had come up and was pointing a stun gun at her. Knowing she was beaten, she raised her hands in surrender.

“What do you want from me?” she said, but got no immediate response. The woman holding the gun shouted a command to her companion in Japanese. “Don’t you guys speak any English?

This time, she did get a response. “Yes, we do. We were ordered to bring you to our leader,” the woman holding the gun replied, with a slight Japanese accent. Her accomplice returned holding a bunch of ropes in her hand. “Tie her up,” she said.

The other woman went over to Vivian and crossed her wrists behind her back. She then began to tightly wrap the ropes around Vivian’s wrists, first horizontally and then vertically to further secure them in place.

“What does your leader want with me? Ow!” she winced, as the woman pulled the ropes tightly before tying the knot out of reach, causing Vivian to clench her fists slightly. She tested her bonds and found them to be tied quite tightly.

“Our leader has her reasons,” the woman with the gun replied. “Now, tie her feet together.”

The other woman had Vivian sit down and place her legs out in front of her. She tied her feet in a similar way as her hands, first tying the rope horizontally over her feet and then vertically over the horizontal loops before tying the knot off. She then tugged on the knot securing her ankle bindings and further inspected Vivian’s wrist bindings again just to make sure there was no chance of escape. She gave a nod of approval to her superior.

The woman holding the gun then pulled out a radio communicator from her belt.

“The prisoner’s secure. Send the helicopter over,” she said in Japanese.

“So much for my vacation…” Vivian thought to herself as she reflected on her predicament.

Spies vs. Ninjas (Chapter 2)

Chapter 2:

“How am I going to get out of this?” she muttered, looking at the ropes tying her feet and twisting her neck to try and catch a glimpse of her wrist bindings. She tried to squeeze her wrists through the ropes again, but it was of no use. And to add to it, she was still stuck in her wet wetsuit and her bare hands and feet were catching cold.

“Can I change into my clothes? It’s getting cold.” Vivian said to the woman holding the gun.

“I’m sorry, but there’s a helicopter coming to pick us up in a little while. Jun, go get a warm blanket from downstairs,” she told her accomplice.

“Thanks…what’s your name?” Vivian asked.

“You can call me…Yuri.”

And with that, Jun returned with a warm blanket and placed it around Vivian’s body to keep her warm. A few moments later, a helicopter arrived. Jun lifted Vivian over her shoulder and loaded her onto the helicopter with Yuri following behind her.

A message came through Yuri’s radio communicator.

“Did you retrieve her?” a voice said in Japanese.

“Yes.”

“Well, take some photos of her and send them to our old friend. This girl’s merely bait for a bigger fish…”

“Yes, leader.”

Yuri then turned her attention back to Vivian. “We cannot allow you to see where we are going. I hope you’ll understand,” she said and pulled out a long handkerchief from her ninja sack and tied it over Vivian’s eyes. Afterwards, she used a camera that was stored on the helicopter to photograph Vivian, as her leader ordered.

The next day, at S.A.G.E. headquarters…

“Jade! Vivian’s been captured! Take a look at these photos…and there’s a message written in Japanese!” Ashley exclaimed, being the first to glance at the photos.

“This isn’t good…it says that I must go alone to meet with her captors or else they’ll kill Vivian,” Jade replied.

“Well, we’ll come with you in case something goes wrong,” Tina said, courageously.

“No, I can’t allow you to endanger Vivian. I’m going to meet with them at the warehouse tonight. Please stay here. I’ll be fine.”

“But…” Ashley started to say, until the director interrupted her. She had just come out of her office, overhearing the situation.

“No, Ashley. If these people are who I think they are,” she said, looking at Jade. “Then, it’s better to let Jade handle this on her own. You’ll only be a distraction.”

“I suspect Vivian’s captors to be part of the Funaki clan, where they have the most lethal ninjas in the world. Jade’s parents were former members of their clan.”

“Mrs. LeReau, we’re a team. Ashley and I can’t just stand around doing nothing. We need to rescue Vivian, as a team,” Tina said.

After some thought, Jade finally said, “Fine… but I don’t want you two anywhere near that warehouse where you can be seen. Who knows what they’ll do to Vivian if they know I’m not alone.”

“I guess there’s no stopping you girls,” Mrs. LeReau exclaimed. “Jade, be careful,” she said and went back into her office.

“You can use this earring as a communicator to allow us to listen in on what’s going on,” Tina said, handing Jade a set of earrings that she had just built. “Try em on, they’re just like normal earrings.”

“Ok, thanks, now let’s get ready.”

The three women suited up in their black catsuits and knee-high leather boots. They then put on their tool belt that consisted of stun guns, rope, lasers, smoke bombs, and a knife, among other spy gadgets that Tina had invented.

Meanwhile…

Vivian felt herself being carried again as they got off the helicopter. She had no sense of where she was and couldn’t understand what was being said, as her captors were speaking Japanese again.

Finally, she was placed down onto a chair, where more ropes were used to tie her upper body to the back of the chair. One final rope was tied to her ankle bindings and used to connect to her wrists bindings, rendering her more immobile in the chair.

“My, you’re beautiful…” Vivian heard a voice say, as the blindfold was removed from her eyes. She found herself staring at a woman who looked similar to her partner, Jade. She, too was dressed in a ninja uniform.

“Jade has done well in choosing companions, I see,” the woman continued.

“Who are you?” Vivian asked.

“I’m an old friend of Jade’s, my name is Lina Yubari.”

“Where are we?”

“Just an old warehouse…Jade’s very familiar with this place.”

“What do you want with me?”

“Nothing…you’ve just allowed me to talk to Jade again, that’s all,” she said playfully slapping at Vivian’s cheeks.

“And what about Tom? The guy left on the boat?”

“Oh, him? If Jade’s as smart as I think she is, he’s probably already been rescued by your friends. But don’t worry about him. I’d be more concerned with yourself,” she said, pulling out a knife and holding it close to Vivian’s face.

“My friends’ll come for me. Then you won’t talk so cocky,” Vivian replied, struggling in her ropes. “You’ll see.”

“Well, I certainly hope so,” Lina said, throwing her knife at a wooden post. “Your life depends on it.”

Chapter 3:

Later that night…

“You two stay here,” Jade said to Ashley and Tina, in an abandoned building close to the warehouse.

“Ok, we’ll keep an ear out if anything should go wrong,” Tina replied. “Good luck.”

Jade made her way over to the warehouse, knowing fully well of the danger that lied ahead. Once she was inside, she was immediately greeted by two of Lina’s henchwomen, each holding stun guns in their hands.

“Lina has been expecting you,” one of the women said in Japanese. “Please come quietly.”

Not wanting to endanger Vivian, Jade put up her hands in surrender.

The other henchwoman then went behind Jade and removed her utility belt and threw it to the other woman. “Put your hands behind you,” she ordered Jade. Once Jade complied, the woman began to tie Jade’s wrists together, winding numerous loops around them before tying the knot out of Jade’s reach. “Now, walk,” the woman said and jammed her gun into Jade’s back, forcing her to move forward. The two women then led Jade to Lina, with Vivian bound and gagged to a chair behind her.

“Ahh, Jade…long time no see,” Lina said in Japanese.

“Now you’ve got me, let Vivian go,” she replied back, cutting straight to the chase.

“Don’t be so hasty, my friend,” Lina said, taunting Jade by grasping her cheeks in her hand. “You were always the more patient of us back when we were kids. What’s the rush?”

“What do you want from me?” Jade said as she pulled her face from Lina’s grasp.

“What do I want from you?” Lina replied in a cold voice. “I merely want you to suffer for what your parents did to my parents.” She then clutched at Jade’s throat, causing Jade to start to choke.

“And you WILL tell me where your parents hid the clan’s sacred scrolls,” she continued and released her grip on Jade’s neck.

“I…don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jade began to say.

“Do NOT lie to me,” Lina said with anger. “But, no matter, once we’re done with you, I will have my scrolls and you will be left begging for mercy.”

Meanwhile…

“I can’t stand waiting around like this, she’s taking too long,” Ashley said impatiently.

“But if went in now, we don’t know what they’d do to Vivian,” Tina replied.

“I know, but…aw screw it, I’m going in,” Ashley said and leaped off the abandoned building to head to the warehouse.

“No wait, Ashley!” Tina said, not knowing what to do.

Two female ninja guards outside the warehouse spotted Ashley running towards them and fired off their stun guns to slow her down, but Ashley was able to dodge them easily with her agility. Using her expert shooting skills, she was able to fire two stun blasts, knocking the two guards unconscious.

Ashley then continued her way through the warehouse and was able to catch Lina and the two henchwomen guarding Jade by surprise. Little did she know that two of Lina’s top ninjas, Yuri and Jun, were still lurking in the shadows.

“Let Vivian and Jade go!” Ashley said, pointing her gun at Lina and the two henchwomen.

Then, out of nowhere, Jun leaped out from behind the crate and knocked Ashley’s gun out of hand with a quick strike. She followed this up with a kick to the stomach and a backhand to the face.

“No, Ashley!” Jade exclaimed and kneed one of the henchwomen in the gut while using a roundhouse kick on the other, even with her hands tied behind her back. However, before she could make another move, Lina hit her hard across the face with the butt of her stun gun, knocking her out. She then followed up by aiming a stun blast that caught Ashley square in the chest, rendering her unconscious to the floor. Vivian could only watch helplessly from her chair as the ropes still held tightly against her body and limbs.

“Restrain her,” she ordered Jun. “Yuri, load Jade into the van and set the bomb for 20 minutes. That should give us enough time to clear out of here before the explosion.”

Jun complied with her leader’s orders and placed Ashley’s wrists behind her back, placing them palm to palm. She wrapped the rope 5 times horizontally around Ashley’s wrists and then looped the remaining rope vertically over the horizontal loops before tying the knot, making sure to tie it out of fingers reach.

She then used a long rope to tie Ashley’s ankles together and pulled the rope tight with each coil, cutting into the soft leather of Ashley’s boots. She had looped the rope 8 times around Ashley’s ankles and used the remainder to wrap the rope vertically over the horizontal loops before tying the knot in front of Ashley’s ankles. Finally, she tied one end of a short piece of rope to Ashley’s ankle bindings and passed the other end through her wrist bindings, bending Ashley’s knees and bringing her booted feet closer to her hands as she pulled further on the loose end of the rope. Once the heels of Ashley’s boots were barely touching her fingers, Jun tied off the hogtie rope above her wrist bindings.

“Ok, Jade’s been secured in the van,” Yuri informed Lina.

“Good, now set the bomb and let’s go.”

Vivian could only look on in horror as her teammate lay trussed up and unconscious on the floor with a bomb being set to go off soon and with Jade being taken away by her captors.
