Just to play a little Devil's advocate...
I want to preface this with saying that in no way am I agreeing with Drawscore's extremist opinions on this matter. If someone knowingly drives a car into a crowd of people, at the very least they should be charged with attempted vehicular manslaughter, and if anyone dies, they should be charged with murder. I do NOT condone that course of action in any way and it should be punishable to the fullest extent of the law.
However, he does bring up a good point with his last message.
Protesters are fine. Protest what you want, I have no problem with it whether I agree or disagree with their cause, I fully support their right to protest, but do it in a way that you are not punishing people who have nothing to do with the cause, or even punishing those who might support your cause.
His example was someone trying to get to the bedside of a sick or dying loved one. What if their relative or friend died while they were held up? Is that ok?
Some other examples... someone is trying to get to a very important job interview, and they are made late. Why were they punished? Someone is late to work and gets reprimanded or fired, why did the protesters punish them? Maybe someone has just finished a 12 hour shift at a tough job and just wants to get home, why are the protesters punishing them by blocking their route home? A dad needs to get home to watch his child's first sporting event, but someone trying to further a cause blocks the road and he misses it, or maybe he misses the birth of his next child because they blocked the freeway and caused traffic problems.
I could keep going for days. Protest your cause, have at it, but do not do it in a way that might hurt other people, perhaps even people that support your cause! It makes no sense to block roadways unexpectedly, especially high trafficked ones, in order to try to pursue your own agenda. You are only hurting other people and not making any more of an impact to raise awareness of your cause then to do it in a more peaceful manner.
So I will agree with him that people who choose to do this sort of protest are inconsiderate idiots, but I will not in any way agree that they deserve to be run over.
