Why are you guys doing nothing during a state of emergency? For those of you who don't know, the north east recently had an October snowstorm that, because most trees had their leaves, caused a lot of fallen trees and damaged powerlines.
Now, I live in a neighborhood with a lot of elderly people and some of them have machines that help regulate their bodies and generators only generate a certain amount of electricity. Within the 6 days without power, 4 of my neighbors ended up in the hospital due to medical equipment not functioning properly.
So why did it take so long? Good question. Not having anything to do, we were able to count 38 JCP&L(our electric company) trucks drive down our street. Not one of them fixed our power. Only one of them waited on our street for 3 hours doing nothing waiting for an assignment. We ended up getting power by trapping a jcp&l truck on our street with our cars. It took them 3 minutes to fix our power. 38 trucks could not stop for three minutes to fix our power. The only reason, protest. I know this because my brother in law used to be a union worker and he was told, only do work with a work order. JCP&L is lucky my neighbors are okay.
