explosions at Boston Marathon

Postby notlongerhere » Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:59 am

Geez what happens to the world today.
Just came across an article about a possible bombing at the Boston Marathon.
The site that I visited said Three persons where killed but I haven't seen it on any other sites.

Either way my condolences for the families of the people that were killed.

A couple of people have tweeted about it on Twitter who were there. Police have apparently found more unexploded devices too. Staying tuned for further updates.

All that shows is that plenty of people are happy to stereotype without knowing the full facts.

Stereotype's are based on real statistics. Americans/Europeans aren't attacking places like Jerusalem, Abu Dhabi..

Nothing. It's a tragedy and senseless violence should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

3dead and 100 plus wounded. Two other bombs where discover and deactivated. People from newtown where among the stands . A young boy killed. Terrible news. Also the jfk libaray was on fire even though people are saying it was not invole i say it was. Whoever did this wanted to get the worlds attention and they did.the people who are responsible should not get the death penality they should be an exception for cruel and unuasal.punishment. This goes against the constition but bombs and aren't inthe constition!

I just learned about it a short while ago all I can say is OH MY GOD I have actually run that race many years ago the video I have seen showed two of the bombs detonating in the spectator area's. I TRULY hope THEY get the son of a bitch that's behind this as this is truly personal . Thankfully all of my friends who participated in today's race weren't around the area.

I have been getting messages off and on since about 8 pm est from both old army buddies and fellow runners whom Keep in contact with that we've ran several races together all the same thing.
Thankfully the other bombs that were planted were found and didnt go off but still ...

One of the local sites claim that the police have a warrant for a house search and that they're doing it right now.
They've confirmed it's related to the bombing but no further details have been given.

The world is full of fanatical assholes, and we would all be a lot better off if they would suddenly and willingly find ways to eliminate themselves from the gene pool.

Naturally, my heart goes out to the victims of this senseless violence, and I certainly join others in wishing for a speedy capture of the perpetrators, followed by the appropriate sentence.

Unfortunately, Massachusetts is one of those states that has abolished the death penalty, despite having some animals in their prison system that truly deserve it. (Google "Jeffrey Curley") But, with luck, maybe the feds (who DO have the death penalty) will take over the trial, and mete out the justice these thugs deserve. The feds can be efficient in this area, unlike the several states. I think Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, was executed within just a few years of being found guilty, and sentenced to death. The state of Florida, on the other hand, took 32 years before executing the murderer of a 10 year old girl, killed in the early 80's.

The London Marathon is to be run this Sunday, so I think that security will be even tighter than usual for this event.

How do you define true?
the rampaging gun killers who run through schools on killing sprees are men. The stereotype of such a killer is a man. Therefore it is true that men are all ramPaging gun killers who should be kept out of school? The stereotype is true

Given the route, and the fatc the finish is on The Mall, and goes past both the Houses of Parliment and Buckingham Palace - trust me, the security is extremly tight, but is under review.

Folks, watch the language - this is a callous bombing, and I grieve for those who are injured and lost their lives, but until you know the facts do not jump to speculation.

And before anyoen accuses me of being soft, I watched the new broadcasts last night, and it looked to me so much liek what we have seen in Ireland for the last forty or fifty years that I knew what it was...
