A number of novelty shops have some type of handcuff. Party City has some to be part of a costume and AFAIK have my favorite type: a stop switch and a release lever that can be broken off and filed down. One novelty shop in a nearby mall had real cuffs for about $25 and included a cuff case.

No safety lever is a pro, not a con. What's the point of being handcuffed of you can get out in a few seconds. Just put the key either in a friends pocket or somewhere someone else can easily access it in case of emergency.
