A young friend of mine was graduating a French management school last autumn. He wanted to be elected president of the pupils association but there was a teasing: candidates were to be kidnapped and have their head shaved …
He had never been tied-up before, was afraid of darkness and confined spaces. I first made him agree with the lost of his hair. Then I prepared him for his ordeal. We spoke a lot and I made him explore his fear: I hogtied him for two hours to show him what it looks like to wait bound and blindfolded during some relatively long time; another day I put him in a duvet cover with bound hands and feet, and had a little drive with him in my car trunk.
He was kidnapped by his olders. They put a ski mask on his head and drove him to some place they have designed as a torture room, with aggressive spot lights, plastic covers on the ground and two chairs. Shirtless, blindfolded and chair bound, the two candidates were fed with some infamous spicy meals and given some drinks with many alcohol. Then they cut half of their hair (one side and behind the head) before freeing them.
My friend said it was rather fun. Our three months preparation helped him to endure his ordeal with a smile and even ask for more teasing: it was kind of strategy to annoy his opponent who was clearly not prepared to what happened to him …
