2011 Darwin Award Winner

Postby drawscore » Wed Feb 01, 2012 10:21 am

Each year, the Darwin Awards are presented to members of society who die ridiculous deaths, and who make the world a better place by removing themselves from the gene pool.

And now . . . . . (drum roll, please) . . . . . The winner of the 2011 Darwin Award is . . . . .Zookeeper Friedrich Riesfeldt, of Paderborn , Germany, who fed his constipated elephant 22 doses of animal laxative and more than a bushel of berries, figs and prunes before the plugged-up pachyderm finally got relief. Investigators say the ill-fated Friedrich, 46, was attempting to give the ailing elephant an olive oil enema when the relieved beast unloaded.

The sheer force of the elephant's unexpected defecation knocked Mr Riesfeldt to the ground where he struck his head on a rock as the elephant continued to evacuate 200 pounds of dung on top of him, asphyxiating him. It seems to be just one of those freak accidents that proves . . . . . "Shit happens."

I remember in high school one of my English teachers loved telling us all about these every Friday in class. He enjoyed it perhaps too much. lol

What the hell does Snopes know? They are a collection of far left wing nutburgers, intent on kissing Obama's and Soros' asses.

My English teacher would disagree but I do agree. I say this because he got his info from them.

On behalf of all far left wing nutburgers, we don't need to be humourless spoilsports as well!

lets over look the fact snopes was around when Bush was president. =)

I'm not a liberal but ill defend snopes to the death because its kept me from believing some ridiculous stuff.

Personally, I think the White Queen had it right when she tried to believe at least six impossible things before breakfast.
Bit that was in a more innocent day!

The Titanic was at the bottom of the Atlantic when Bush was president, too, but that doesn't mean he was responsible for its sinking. (Although a lot of politicians and so called "journalists" would blame it on him if they thought they could get away with it.) :quirk:

There are some other fact checking sites out there that have, I believe, greater credibility.

And, maybe the story is false. It's certainly a fact that not everything you see on the internet is accurate. Still, it was amusing. But whatever, there are numerous candidates for the Darwin Award on TV every week. Check out 1000 Ways to Die on the Spike cable network. Check your cable or satellite guide for the time and channel/transponder. According to the intro, the deaths portrayed are based on actual happenings.
