Food discourse is the best discourse
To begin:
1. If you don't eat pineapple on pizza you're a coward
2. Cheese is the most important part of good pizza, followed by toppings, then crust. Sauce is the least important part of pizza.
3. Ketchup is disgusting, as is mayonnaise.
Completely disagree with the last two parts of your pizza assessment here. Crust--read: 'dough'--is important because it sets up what type of pizza you're going to have. Look at the big chain places like Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut--read: circles of hot garbage that hardly deserve to be called pizza. They're dough/crust may as well be Pillsbury crescent rolls they're so damn chewy. Sauce has a huge effect on the taste of a pizza. If it's too garlicky, too basily, too diluted, etc, you may as well be eating grilled cheese. Toppings are extra and greatly alter the taste of a slice or a pie in general. Then again, I'm not much of a toppings person; if the place I"m ordering from can't do a solid plain slice or a solid Sicilian slice, not worth it. Hooray, though, for growing up and living in the Northeast where actual good pizza is readily available at a moment's notice. In the town where I grew up, there were no fewer than five good options for pizza and in the town I currently leave, at least three are winners, with one voted the best in the region multiple times over.
I take few things in life very seriously...pizza is one of them.
