Literature

Postby DMC13 » Sat Jul 06, 2013 8:02 pm

I am an author/screenwriter, so I have a dilemma.
When I write, I try to throw in bondage. This is a quirk, but my second problem is that I also have trouble writing it, as I get uncomfortable.
Any ideas as to how to fix my nervousness?
I don't care.

Sorry, don't have any tips for you, but could you list any books or movies you've worked on? I'd like to check them out

Start with the small things, like hands tied loosely, and slowly progress to what you aim for.
Or try writing a short story, just for yourself to get used to the idea of writing about bondage.

Good luck ;)

I guess I forgot to mention I'm not a professional yet... I aspire to open my own studio, though!

It would be amazing if you practiced and posted stories on this site, I would love to see your style and who knows, writing kink might not be so bad after all ..

I recommend you first make clear to yourself why you like ropes, gags, and peril so much; figure out which elements about this sort of trope you like most (check out tvtropes.org and search "damsels in distress" for a list of these).

When you've decided on a set of ideas (the manner of the capture, the binding, and the rescue) I find that building the stories around the kinky circumstance desired is far more effective than building the tie ups around the story.
Whips and chains may break my bones, but ropes and gags excite me!

You could try writing under a pseudonym. The anonymity of one has sure as hell made me pretty open...
