Noticeably missing: Adult Contemporary; Rap; Oldies; Top 40; Easy Listening; Big Bands; and Show/Movie tunes.

"Other" just doesn't quite make it when the variety of other types of music is so great. But then, Adult Contemporary, Rap, Oldies, Top 40, Easy Listening, and Show/Movie Tunes, might all be considered sub-formats of Rock. Or, Rock might be a sub-format of Adult Contemporary.

And, some sites limit the choices. Perhaps 12 choices was all the board would allow.

Just some thoughts

Country and southern rock. They both have everything I can relate to. Everything else is just people talking nonsense so they can make a buck. Not to mention some of the things in my past that the country music reminds me of (not good things by the way). Jason Aldeans dirt road anthem describes a good bit of my younger years. Ha! :blindfold:

Heavy Metal. I can enjoy other forms of rock (hard rock, grunge, some punk, classic rock), but nothing get's my blood flowing like metal.

I prefer Rock form the 50's and before. I also like it when great classic musicians meet with hard rock bands.
