True, but in the back of your mind, you know it's just a movie, and the actors are play acting. "Jaws" and "Alien" scared the bloody hell out of me when I saw them for the first time, but I knew when I walked in to the theater, that they were just movies,
I got tied up more times than I can count as a boy. My wild imagination pictured me being captured by Indians, outlaws, spies, kidnappers, and other nefarious types, but I was among friends, and despite my imagination, I trusted them, and thus, even at the ripe old ages of nine and ten, there was no fear, other than that created in my imagination. Besides, it was a given, that before the day was out, I'd get to tie up one (or more) of my friends, and I always looked forward to that.
