- Sam sat in her desk waiting for it all to end. The speeches had gone on for hours. And while she loved speech and debate, she had to admit that at the moment, she just wanted to go and get something to eat before passing out. That would have been nice. Since it was only seven o'clock though, she wasn't likely to get any sleep for the next couple of hours. All of her teammates were going to be way too giddy for that kind of thing. It was like this at every meet. She was used to it in a way, but in other ways, it just kept getting harder and harder. She ran a hand through her long dark hair. She had had it up in a bun during her own rounds, but now that that was over, she had tkaen out the hairband and stuffed it in the pockets of her black pinstripped slacks. "Hey Sammy! Wake up!" Cassie ordered bouncing past her. "Stephen just finished up his speech!"
Those were the most beautiful words she had heard all day. They would have to be back tomorrow for more speeches of course, but at the moment, she just wanted to get out of that school. Sam bent down under the desk and grabbed her black briefcase and sat up, only be looking at Ms. de Moray's dark blue eyes. Sam jumped before she sighed realizing how stupid she was. "Sorry Ms. de Moray, you startled me." The English professor was one of the younger teachers at the school only having been out of college herself a few years. It was weird to think of, especially when you looked at the woman. Her pale blonde hair was pulled back into a strict bun and her dark suit washed out what little color she had left in her skin.
"I need you to stay behind with me. We need to pick up the classroom," she said with her usual monotone voice. Sam looked around the room. They had done well at make it pretty messy. They always had to clean it before they left, but most teachers asked that they wait until the last day. After all, it wasn't as if they held Speech and Debate tournaments on school days. But it wasn't wise to argue with one of the coaches. Sam reluctantly agreed and watched longingly as the rest of the students filed out to the bus. "Don't worry," Ms. de Moray's voice was a crisp snap. "I have my car with me. You'll eat." Sam sighed with relief. That was better than nothing at the moment.
It felt like hours passed by as Sam picked up every scrap under Ms. de Moray's instruction. Finally she sat back on her knees and wiped sweat away from her brow. "That's it ma'am," she said with a sigh. She must have look a wreck, dust covering her slacks and little dark rings of sweat dotting her black formal shirt.
"You missed a spot," Ms. de Moray drawled. Two hands shoved at Sam's shoulders pushing her to the ground. A high heeled boot pressed down on her back pinning her to the floor.
"M-ma'am?!" Sam cried squirming trying to get free.
"Hush Samantha," Ms. de Moray murmured softly. The boot moved and Sam struggled to get up only to find a knee in its place and her hands being pulled behind her back. "I want us both to enjoy this."
