The crazy things Bachman says

Postby zanev » Mon Aug 29, 2011 8:48 pm

seriously this girl is in her own world...and thats saying it politely.

On hurricane Irene.

Hurricane Irene and the recent East coast earthquake were directed at America's politicians, according to a statement from Michele Bachmann.

The Minnesota congresswoman and presidential candidate told an audience gathered at a Shriner's temple in Sarasota, Fla., Sunday that God was trying to communicate a message about fiscal responsibility via the two recent natural disasters. From the St. Petersburg Times:

On lowering the federal minimum wage:
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. (Star Tribune) -- Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann said Friday she wouldn't rule out changes to the federal minimum wage as a way to lower the cost of doing business and lure corporations back to the United States.

The Minnesota congresswoman told supporters at a packed sandwich shop that the corporate income tax needs to be reduced because companies are moving to other countries to save money. She was later asked by a reporter whether changes to the minimum wage should also be considered to balance the cost of labor here and overseas.

"I'm not married to anything. I'm not saying that's where I'm going to go," she said.

She did say she wants to look at all aspects of doing business, from regulations to tax codes, and will consider anything that will help create jobs. The federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour.

On improving the economy very fast:

Bachmann told reporters the economy would start to improve almost immediately after she becomes president because she would implement conservative economic policies to slash the nation's debt, stop tax increases and cut regulations.

"It won't take that long if we send signals to the marketplace," she said, standing by an earlier comment that the improvement would begin within the first quarter.

I close my eyes, Inis Mona
And reminisce of those palmy days
I moon o'er you, Inis Mona
As long as I breathe
I'll call you my home

We have a poitical party in this country which would suit her. It's called the Official Monster Raving Loony Party (sic) and they DO get councillors elected (Check this out. It IS true). Their policies are, however, benign and some of them have even been adopted (Votes at 18, 24-hour opening, etc). We're still working on getting the UK towed to a warmer part of the globe!

I can think of a few Canadian parties she'd be qualified to lead. How about the Pirate Party? Or the Rhino Party? Maybe the Sex Party? Or my personal favorite... The Party Party!
There's a permanent tension in music isn't there? On one hand you have three chords, you know, four four and three chords. Then there's the people like me, who say "Well, why don't we add a fourth chord and put it in five four?" - Bill Bruford

She just topped herself

she ''blames'' Obama for the arabic spring saying all the revolts are happening because Obama is being weak. she's overrating America's performance way to much but the main point is that she is implying that people rising against tyrants and fightting for their freedom is a bad thing.

It sounds like Bachman actually prefers dictators over democraty's. That give's me an idea how she wants america to be run

You think she's bad? You should hear some of the stuff Herman Cain's been saying about Occupy WallStreet. I'd say his true side has shown quite clearly . How he could be a front runner in GOP Presidential Considerations is beyond me. The Whole GOP must be whacked! Bachman's always struck me as one who wanted to play in the big leagues but didn't have what it takes and just wasn't ready over-all
Those who walk forward always looking back, don't see that which makes them stumble

I'd be careful what you say in calling all Republicans as crazy as march hares because I just happen to be one of them! Rick Perry and Mitt Romney are clearly the best two Republican candidates at this time for president even though I prefer Romney over Perry.

Seeing as the republicans purpusly made America lose its triple A status by stubornly refusing everything Obama did(for the sake of being stuborn and no other reason) while giving no real option themselves they can be rightfully called crazy. If a politician puts his own stupid grudge before the good of his country then he can be called incompetent and crazy.

I have to say my personal favorite is her intention to build a legitimate wall on the US/Mexico border.. such a great idea. :worried:

I can't decide who's better comic relief, Bachman or Palin.

But she does have a point Cain is inexperienced and claims he can but really can't run this country. I guarantee the market will plummet with him as he CANT run this country.

The only thing that cost Senator McCain the presidential win last election was having Palin grouped as his new running mate. I admit to having voted against my better judgement for him but if Palin runs again, I will seriously hope she never visits Idaho because I am sick and tired of maseup officials pretending they actually care about helping out the country and then rubbing our faces deeply into embarrassment with scandals and gossipmongering while the rest of the world laughs at our humiliation!

In the most unbiased way possible... 99% of the Republican or Tea Party candidates are idiots. So even if you're not a fan of Obama, he's still probably going to be a better option than whoever is the Republican candidate
