Neighbor Girl Handcuffed to the Water Meter

Postby Kyle » Sun Feb 08, 2009 2:23 pm

This is my second story. This story also involves the handcuffs that were seen in my first story, "Handcuffed to the Bed." My memory is a bit sketchy, so I'll admit I'm not quite 100% sure things happened exactly the way I'm going to tell it, but I know the basic story is the same.

Anyway, this story takes place when I was about 7 or so I guess. I was a little older than the first story, I know that much. I lived on a cove with 7 houses. There were a number of kids who lived on the cove. At this time, I was the youngest of those kids.

The kids included (names have been changed):

Joe- about 5 years older than me (he had an older sister, but she was old enough she rarely got involved with any of our games)
Lisa- girl about 6 months older than me
Amanda- Lisa's sister, also about 5 years older
Carl- the oldest of the bunch, he was about 7 years older than me, he had 2 brothers who were much older than us and didn't play with us ever

It might be noted here that I'm an only child.

I was the youngest and had the most overprotective parents, and was rarely allowed to leave the yard, so we usually ended up playing in my yard. One of our favorite games was hide-and-seek, and for some reason the water meter on the side of my house was often used as the "home base," so we ended up hanging around there a lot. The story I'm going to tell had nothing to do with hide-and-seek, but does involve the water meter, as the title probably gave away.

For reasons I don't remember, the handcuffs I had made their way outside with me that day. We were having our usual fun when Carl and Amanda started playfighting. Carl knew I had the handcuffs, and he took them from me. During their playing Carl pulled Amanda to the water meter to try to handcuff her there. She fought against him, but he was older and stronger and didn't have a lot of trouble from what I remember. He put the cuffs on one wrist, pulled the handcuff chain around the metal bar that connected the water meter to the house, and cuffed her other wrist so she was handcuffed to it. Her hands were cuffed in front of her.

I remember her shrieking with laughter(she had a kind of annoying laugh) and struggling and saying "Let me go." Carl said something like "Come on, let's go play over here." So we left her there (we didn't go far, my yard wasn't that big). Amanda was left to struggle against the handcuffs. We were well within shouting distance and she kept calling out for someone to let her go. I forget what it was we were doing. She wasn't mad.

After a few minutes, my next door neighbor (Carl's mom) apparently heard Amanda and saw what was going on. She came out to us and told us to let her go immediately. I had the keys to the handcuff, so I went over to her and ended up letting her go. After that, we ended up doing something else which I don't remember, and which isn't really relevant here anyway.

This is the only time in my life I've ever gotten to rescue a damsel in distress, well, sort of anyway, as you'll see in a minute.. I think this event kind of left a deep impression on me. Most of my fantasies involving bondage and tie-ups for years revolved around a damsel in distress. It wasn't until much later I thought about the possibility of being the victim myself, which is how some of my thoughts go these days, but that's another story. Anyway, I know this affected me because I used to try to get some of my neighbors, Lisa in particular since she was close to my age, a girl, and played with me the most, to play some kind of kidnapping game. We never did have any ropes or anything to do any real binding unfortunately, so we faked it. Lisa was usually the damsel in distress and I would alternate as the villain and then the rescuer. She would usually fake being tied up. I seem to recall one game where Amanda was the evil villainess who held her sister captive and I was the hero who rescued her, but again, nothing was used to really bind her.

I'm not sure why we never used the cuffs again. That would've made the most sense, and would've given me some more stories to write about on here. Unfortunately it never occured to either of us to use them. Ah, missed opportunities...

I have one more story where I was the victim and Lisa ended up being MY heroine rescuer, when Carl and Joe were my captors. After that I guess I'll tell a few of the stories that I wasn't personally involved in, but was a witness to.

A charming tale...

...which took me back into my own misspent childhood (or maybe not so misspent!) with my own interest in the damsel-in-distress! Sometimes rescuing them, sometimes not...

a technical question : how much do handcuffs cost? and where they can be found?

I once saw some handcuffs at a Spencer's in a mall not too far from here for about $12 I think. They have the basic metal kind and some of those pink furry ones. The cuffs in my story were a plastic toy actually. Looking back at it, I can't believe they didn't have some kind of safety release on them. But I got locked in them and couldn't get out without the key, and Amanda was in them for probably a good 5 minutes and couldn't get free either. If there was a safety release we didn't find it. I know they were a toy though. These days I could probably just break a cheap pair of cuffs like that if I really had to.

I wouldn't mind telling some of the stories of me and Lisa, but to be honest I don't remember many of them very clearly. I can give you some basics though. Generally, we'd be playing around doing something else and I'd come up with an idea for a kidnapping game or something like that. I was almost always the hero and she the damsel in distress. Sometimes she'd just be kidnapped somewhere and I'd have to find her (she'd hide from me). A few times I also played the villain and "kidnapped" her beforehand. I vaguely remember one time Lisa's sister Amanda happened to be around when we played one of these games and was bored and decided to play. Since we didn't usually have a bad guy, she ended up being the villainess. If I remember correctly, she ended up hiding her sister in a storage building and I had to find her. Sometimes Lisa acted as if she was tied up and couldn't escape, sometimes she didn't, but as far as I remember she was never really tied up in any way, and knowing me I think I'd remember that.

Our games did get a little better when I was about 8 and my parents built a tree house in my backyard. It kind of acted like a dungeon. Lisa could go up there and I'd lock the door from the outside (the only way it could be locked) and I'd go on for a few minutes and then come up and "rescue" her. We mostly played up there in the winter, because being down here in the South, the tree house turned into an oven in a hurry in the summer. Becuase of school, and the fact that by that time we were starting to grow apart, we didn't do it very many times.

I don't think any of our games lasted longer than 10 minutes, and most probably didn't last longer than 5 minutes. I didn't keep count or anything, but I'd guess we might've played games like that a couple of dozen times or so. It wasn't a constant thing by any means.

I only remember one other story involving tie-ups that directly involved me, and strangely enough, it was me who did in fact end up tied up for real and Lisa was the one who freed me. I was an observer to a few other instances.

Usually she'd act like she was tied to a chair or to a pole. I don't really remember her acting like she was struggling much. I used to have this little Fisher Price table and 4 chairs and she'd sit in one of them with her hands behind her back and her feet together. Or, she'd stand next to my basketball goal and put her hands behind it. I did try using the chain that was connected to the pole that used to hold my dog when she was out in the yard and using that to wrap around Lisa to hold her to the pole, but it didn't work out. It might be better, as I'm sure that would be painful before long.

The time I ended up tied up was before most of mine and Lisa's activities actually. She didn't tie me up, some of my other neighbors did. She ended up freeing me though.

No, I never did really tie her up or any other girls. She was the only one on the cove that close to me in age. I didn't go to other girls' houses much and they didn't come to my house.

I do have a story of one of my teachers covering my mouth in school once if that counts. It's very, very short. It wasn't a game, it was a way to get me to shut up in class.

Ah, yes...

...toy plastic handcuffs and a neighbor girl. I remember them well...it was the first time I ever got to restrain a girl. It was Laura's tenth birthday (hers was about three months before mine) and she had had a big birthday party that day, an unseasonably warm very-early-spring day, which allowed us to run around her big back yard. After the cake and presents and ice cream, most of the other kids were headed home, but since I lived four houses away I stayed later with a few others. While the others were running around burning up all that sugar they'd consumed, I found a pair of plastic toy handcuffs I think belonged to her little brother. Somehow Laura and I fell into our own little game of cops-and-robbers, and I was the bad guy chasing Laura around her yard. We were both fast runners and it was a long chase around her yard.

Maybe it was because Laura was wearing a cute little flowered sundress which slowed her down a little, but I finally caught up to her at the far end of the yard under a little tree that was just beginning to bud out. I grabbed her and she stopped running, and she put up her hands and dropped onto the ground face-first when I ordered her. I straddled her back and knelt down, then took her wrists and pulled them behind her back. Even at nine-and-a-half, I was thrilled, especially when she didn't put up and fight! Let's just say upper-body strength has never been a strong suit of mine, and she could have gotten loose very easily if she had wanted! I got out the plastic handcuffs and clicked them on her wrists, being sure not to lock them up too tight.

And it was at that very moment that Laura's mom saw us from their elevated back porch and yelled at me to take off those handcuffs. She made Laura go into the house and sent me home, and we weren't allowed to play together for some days afterward; indeed, nothing like toy handcuffs or rope was ever seen in their yard again.

Even at that tender age, the incident taught me that many people found things like our little TUG disturbing, which led me to keep my interest in it very secret. Not for a number of years would I get to play TUG with a girl again, and never with Laura; in a couple more years she moved away across the country and we lost touch. And my TUGS were always away from the prying eyes of the grown-ups...

Sorry to hijack your thread with this litle ramble, Kyle; it just brought back a very piquant old memory...

I don't mind it. The story was good, if only it could have continued.

I wish I could've said what people were wearing in my story, but I have no idea anymore. I couldn't even begin to guess.

Carl's mother sounds a right wuss - making you release Ammanda!

I got thrown off there for a second before I realized it was the aliases I used for everyone you were using.

I can kind of see why she did it. She probably thought we were going to leave Amanda and forget about her. Believe it or not, I heard some years later that before my family moved to the neighborhood some kid was tied to a tree during a game and got left out in the rain for a while. I don't know if that was in her mind or not. She could've also thought we were just being mean to Amanda. From what I remember Amanda took it pretty well. She didn't cry about it or anything.

Hey, if she hadn't made us free Amanda, I might not have been the one who ended up letting her go, and I wouldn't have been able to rescue the damsel in distress. I try to see the positive side of things.

I agree with your point in the last paragraph.

As long as the weather isn't too hot, and Ammanda is checked hydrated regularly, I don;t see a problem in long TUGs.
