One, this would serve, so far, fewer than 10 people.
Two, zanev barely has enough time for his own existence, never mind the time needed to address issues the moderators find never mind suggestions from users, however good they may sound.

Maybe I'm just confused about how this forum is run. There are moderators, but for anything regarding the structure of the site to change, you have to go through Zanev? Seems sort of inconvenient to place all that on one person.

There are moderators, who can approve and disapprove posts, warn users, etc.
There are admins, who can silence you permanently.
Then there's zanev: he's the programming expert and master of the board. All such major changes must go through him. For the most part, this site can function without him having to constantly shadow it.

Your post will just be deleted the same way mine was.
45 minutes of careful composition. BAM! Gone in a second. No warning, no explanation...nothing.
You can debate about anything from religion, to sexism to war and politics, but don't dare post anything about the way this forum is spiralling down.
Was this in this thread or a different one? I agree that AMAs may self serve, but at least its generating some interest. As writers you both know how hard it can be to sit and write a huge story up, but as long as a few people are genuinely enjoying them I can say I'm glad. If in the meantime people want to ask little questions in a public setting fine, but I agree it shouldn't define the site.
gagged-cowboy wrote:Why not move all of them there without users having to ask? The new forum for AMAs is still empty and they are still in the TUG talk section. Peopl who made those threads probably don't know about this possibility or don't care.
gagged-cowboy wrote:Since a new AMA thread appeared yesterday in the TUG TALK, I think it would be a good idea because some users obviously didn't notice the special section.
