Hospitals are depressing places. They're full of sick people.

Ours is OK; it's next door to the pub.

Professionally run; I had to spend some time in one four years ago for colon cancer surgery. It's as good as any hospital anywhere, I suppose.

They aren't bad, but since they are free I am not going to complain.
Finally got out of that small town, I now live in Toronto. Anyone nearby feel free to hit me up.

Without going too into politics, with the nhs hospitals are under pressure to reach targets , meet budgets and also keep their bosses and their patients happy. It's never gonna happen. That's the short story.

Also, it's a face that more people who have operations in the uk on a Friday actually die afterwards. That is because the hospitals are always busier, they hire agency staff who some of aren't exactly competent enough, and the aftercare is poorer on a weekend. I can vouch for this as I have worked as an HCA in a hospital for an agency. Some people really don't care, and a lot aren't trained enough.
