Why would you need to get used to it? I'm not a leftie but my brother was, and he always seemed to find it natural.

I'm a bit of a rarity, but I write with my left hand, and do everything else with my right. When people ask me my dominant hand I have to explain this, then let them decide.

The only problem I encounter as writing as a lefty is the smudging on the side of the hand.

I'm right-handed, but my mom's left-handed, and I do use my left hand a lot because I learned how to do some things watching her. I wouldn't call myself ambidextrous by any stretch of the imagination, as I can't write left-handed at all, but I do probably use both hands more than a lot of people, certainly more than a lot of right-handed people do. I actually might use my left hand for more tasks than my right, but most things I do left-handed I can do with my right hand, it just feels a little weird. The reverse is not really true; things I tend to do right-handed I can barely do with my left hand, if at all.
