Patreon question

Postby Chris12 » Fri Sep 02, 2016 1:30 pm

So I occasionally commision deviantart people to draw tie up pics for me. Now one of the very bests of them only takes payment through Patreon rather then paypall.

Fair enough. Time to make a Patreon account then.

When that's done the problems starts. The site insist on my credit card number without pausing to think that a credit card is a mostly American thing. Ergo I don't have one yet the side doesn't let me pay my commision until I do. The site does give the option to link your paypall account to your Patreon one...but then they still refuse to proceed without your credit card :bondage:

Has anyone encountered the same problem or does anyone know how to pay on Patreon without a creditcard?

If you don't have a credit card, how would you plan on paying them? Were you intending on linking your PayPal?

Do you have a debit card? Most sites let you use them, just put your debit card number in the 'credit card number' space.

Precisely what I was going to say. I've always used debit cards for online transactions; I've never even touched a credit card and I likely never will.

Yep. Credit/Debit works in the same way, and can usually be interchanged as payment methods.

I'm going to assume a debit card is a bank card and I tried that. Didn't work. They explicitly ask for a security check through some safety number.

And yup I was intending to link my paypal but for some reason it won't let me do so untill I've given my credit card number.

Is the safety number 3 numbers?

Chris, are you referring to that 3 digit number? I know on the back of MY card there's a number beside where my signature is.
