It's being ignored quite often nowadays.

As one who is "bumping" his stories regularly, I'd like to justify my actions.
I had some remarks about older stories being difficult to read due to a glitch that happened during a past site update that corrupted all the punctuation. I don't want potential readers discouraged from reading them so, every so often, I correct one of them. There would not be a lot of point doing that if I didn't then call potential readers' attention to the fact. Is that the sort of thing you're complaining about, Jay?

Other members find past stories (not necessarily mine) and, having enjoyed them, have the decency to leave a comment. Is that bumping? I think not.

What exactly are you objecting to?

I dont think jay will respond as this topic is a year old.

This is why we make new topics and dont bump them.

I'm locking this as a great example.
