Hard to choose so here is my top 3:

1. August Rush: A kid who goes on journey to find his parents is just magnificant.
2. Miracle: It is the greatest hockey story ever told in my opinion.
3. The 4th Kind: great alien movie that can scare people.
You will have to subdue me to restrain me. I been a bad boy so make sure you torture me too with anything but pain.

Goodfellas. Fantastically written, brilliant acting, plenty of action and violence, extremely funny at times and a superb sound track.

Every single bit of it clicks.

From the 50s: Forbidden Planet (a precursor to Star Trek and very similar to it; very imaginative musical score)
From the 60s: Monty Python and the Holy Grail (IMHO the funniest movie ever made)
From the 70s: Star Wars (nice blend of sci-fi and mysticism)
From the 80s: Aliens (great blend of sci-fi, horror, and action with an oftenn great musical score)
From the 90s: Terminator 2: Judgment Day (the movie that paved the way for modern special effects; great musical score here too)
Since 2000: Lord of the RingsTrilogy (THE archetype for Heroic Fantasy)
Dare to be different... and make a difference.
To boldly go where no one in their right mind has gone before...

i'd have to say a 4 way tie between
1. Fight Club
2. V for Vendetta
3. A Clockwork Orange
4. The Breakfast Club

It's a toss up between The Life Of Brian, Fight Club and Dude Where's My Car. . .
