Chapter 2 - The Element of Surprise
My heart was beating real fast with the new adrenaline surge rushing into my veins.
The idea of overpowering my older cousin and tying him up against his will was just PLAIN EXCITING.
If we got him all tied up, he wouldn't be able to boss us around and Ethan and I could play video games without being bothered.
Anyways, it might actually do Phillip a bit of good to "unconnect" for a while.
Suppressing the urge to jump him right then and there, I followed my cousin's lead and slowly crawled off my mattress.
Phillip was a heavy sleeper, but we still wanted to make sure he didn't wake up prematurely. So we had to be real quiet.
Ethan and I quickly tiptoed our way past the kitchen and into my uncle's bedroom.
My cousin immediately started going through his father's closet, which he liked to call "the camping closet".
I quickly scanned the room in search of something we could use to tie Phillip with, but the only thing I saw was my uncle's traveling backpack, which he used to carry food and stuff for when we went fishing and camping. Other than that, the room was small and bland. The only other thing that caught my attention was how thick my uncle's red sleeping bag looked while it was laid out on the bed, even compared to mine.
"Bingo!" Ethan cheered, pulling out three coils of cotton rope from his dad's "camping closet."
It didn't take long for me to realize that uncle Steve's closet was filled with stuff we could use to restrain our older cousin.
The closet contained several more coils of rope, a big fishing net, a few rolled up sleeping bags and even some tape.
Ethan flashed me a big toothy grin when he fished out the brand new roll of silver duct tape from one of the upper closet shelves.
"You take the rope and while I hold him down, you'll tie him up, alright?" he asked, sprinting towards the door, with the big roll of duct tape in hand.
"Wait..." I called out. "We'll need more rope!"
Ethan examined the three big coils of rope he'd handed me and shook his head in agreement.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." he chuckled.
My cousin reached into the closet and took out the remaining two coils of rope before resuming his way out the door.
We were real quiet on our way back to the living room. I remember thinking that my heart was gonna beat it's way out of my chest.
I was so excited.
Phillip was still soundly asleep by the time we were standing over him.
My cousin and I couldn't help but exchange amused facial expressions at the sight of the seventeen year old, all huddled up inside his sleeping bag.
This was gonna be too easy, I thought to myself.
Not only were we bigger and heavier, but we also had the element of surprise on our side.
On top of that, poor Phil had his big blue sleeping bag zipped up all the way.
That, combined with the fact that our cold rated bags were thick and heavy, would greatly help in hindering his movements.
He was doomed to spending the day as our prisoner.
Ethan and I looked at each other one last time and decided to proceed with a silent hand countdown.
"Three...two...one...go!" he signaled.
We jumped and landed right on poor Phil.
Ethan landed on his brother's upper body and quickly wrapped his arms and legs around him.
I got on my cousin's legs and wrapped my thighs around the lower part of the sleeping bag.
Phillip didn't protest right away.
We must've knocked the wind right out of his lungs...'cause he was real quiet, at first.
Then he started making noise and lots of it!
First came the grunting, then the questions and finally, the threats.
"What the f*ck are you guys doing?! Get off of me!" he yelled.
Ethan and I ignored him totally and focused all our attention on keeping him tightly confined to his thick blue bag.
I was about to start using the rope when Ethan had an idea.
"Wait, don't tie him up!" he said. "Let's get him zipped up inside my sleeping bag as well!"
Phillip definitely didn't like what he was hearing.
"What the f*ck is this?!" he yelled, trying to violently fight us off.
I climbed off of Phillip and quickly grabbed Ethan's matching blue bag.
"C'mon, let's zip him in." he cheered. "He'll be able to move even less!"
Without loosing anymore time, I quickly jumped back on struggling Phil and started fitting the second thick bag around him.
It took a bit of effort, and we nearly lost our upper hand in doing so, but within two minutes, we managed to get Phil tightly zipped up inside both thick sleeping bags.
Now came the fun part!
Phillip struggled wildly and cursed at us both...especially his younger brother.
"You're gonna pay for this!" he yelled, his face red with anger.
We just laughed and kept him pinned down inside the sleeping bags.
I passed Ethan some rope and we both started tying up our thrashing prisoner.
This wasn't the first time we'd played TUGs and to our credit, Ethan and I were pretty good at this.
I started tying up my older cousins feet and slowly made my way up to his knees and thighs.
The combined loft of the sleeping bags was real thick and we knew we didn't have to worry about blood circulation, so we took our time and wrapped him up EXTRA TIGHT before knotting down the rope.
By the time I was done securing Phillip's feet and legs, Ethan was finishing up the rope-work on his brother's upper body.
After a good ten minutes of meticulous tying, tightening and knotting, Phillip looked like a big blue worm.
Several tight loops of rope kept the upper ends of the sleeping bags secured around Phillip's neck, while the rest of the rope was tightly knotted down around his arms, torso and belly.
"F*CK!" my older cousin yelled. "LET ME GO!"
Ethan and I broke out into laughter as we stood up and looked down at our struggling prisoner.
Phil's crazed thrashing was reduced to pathetic attempts at wiggling.
He couldn't even sit up or roll over!
"THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" he yelled in frustration.
"Alright, now we get the couch." Ethan stated, grabbing his older brother's helpless form and pulling him off the couch.
I joined Ethan on the couch where we spent the next five minutes watching Phil wiggling on the floor, getting more and more frustrated.
After a while, he just gave up and stopped struggling.
The sleeping bags were just too thick, and we'd tied him up so good there was no way he could get out on his own.
"F*ck you guys...you're both gonna pay for this when I get out." he threatened.
His threats were pretty funny, especially considering he wasn't a match for even one of us, even when he wasn't tied up.
Ethan didn't find it as funny though and I could tell he was starting to get pissed off.
"Alright...let's duct tape his mouth shut." he decided, grabbing the big roll of silver tape and slowly getting off the couch.
"No! NO!" Phillip yelled, twisting his head away from his brother, as if that was gonna stop him from being gagged.
I quickly jumped off the couch to hold Phil's head so Ethan could gag him, but as I did so, my cousin was struck with another brilliant idea.
"Wait!" he exclaimed. "Let's stuff his mouth with something first!" he added with a big smile.
"Yeah!" I cheered on.
Phillip was about to protest, but Ethan clamped a big hand right over his mouth. "NOOMMPPHHHH!"
For Phillip, that was the cherry on the cake.
Being tied up by two younger teenagers was one thing, but being handgagged by his jerk-of-a-brother was another.
"MMMMMPPHHHH MMMPHHH!!!" he yelled angrily.
I looked around the living room, but I couldn't find anything.
"What can we use?" I asked, trying to think of something that would be small enough to fit inside my older cousin's mouth, but big enough to keep him well stuffed up.
Ethan looked around the room, appearing at a loss as well...right until another idea lit up his mind.
"Hey!" he shot with a smile. "What did you do with those stinky socks you were wearing in the car yesterday?"
As soon as those words came out of Ethan's mouth, Phillip's expression changed from one of anger to one of sheer terror.
"MMMPPPPHHHH!!!" he yelled out, his eyes nearly popping out of his head at the memory of my bad foot odour.
Ethan and I exchanged a look of delight and I smiled in agreement.
Poor Phil was really in for a treat today!
