While Drawscore's punishment is oddly specific, I do agree with his argument. This is more of a criticism of the rapist rather than the community itself.
I've got a cousin that I'm fairly certain is into the whole furry thing. She draws the artwork, has her own original character, and goes to the conventions. She even has a costume that she made herself. She's still young, so she probably doesn't realize the sexual implications of it yet. I imagine a day will come where she'll harbor a bit of shame for once making her interests so public. (She hangs drawings on the fridge and in her room.)
I bring this up because I, for the life of me, cannot understand it. The concept of deriving sexual pleasure from the depiction of furry animals is far beyond me. But I can't very well criticize the community because I have a bondage fetish that many people would find taboo or otherwise violent. (Fuck you 50 Shades of Grey!) And I didn't choose to have this fetish. It just happened. So how can I criticize someone else's?
The way I see it, if that kind of thing makes furries happy the way that bondage makes me happy then I'm all for it. Just don't shove it down my throat and don't hurt anybody. That includes raping!
There is only one God, and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: Not today.
