The talk

"And with that, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls," the lecturer said, bowing slightly, "I bid you all farewell, hoping to see you all same time, next week."
Agneta, along with the rest of the girls in the room got to her feet and put out her hands, so their brothers, boyfriends or, in some cases, fathers could grab the long chain that was connected to their handcuffs and lead them out of the theatre.
"That was quite an interesting talk; don't you think?" Ivan said.
"Yeah; I suppose." Agneta shrugged. "You know I'm not too interested in science, and yet you keep dragging me to these boring talks. A talk on 18th or 19th, or even 20th century literature, would have been much more interesting. But even I noticed how passionate he was, and that it itself, made the subject that much more fascinating. But please, I don't want to go next week!"
"As you wish." Ivan obediently said. "Now; I'm hungry! Want a burger, or something?"
Mmm; me too! A burger sounds just fine, right about now! And a large bag of fries, onion rings and a soda!"
"Right; then, let's go!"

A couple of minutes later, Agneta sat at one of the tables in the local burger joint, her handcuffs fastened to a ring on the leg, with just enough loose chain to let her eat on her own. Ivan had gotten the food, and they were now busy eating.
"Fancy seeing you two lovebirds here!" a familiar voice said. Seconds later, the lecturer, Mr McPherson, sat down at the same table. He put his tray, containing a small burger and a small soda mug, in front of him, and took a bite.
"Oh, well; it's not exactly haute cuisine," he shrugged after having had a sip of the drink, "but I've eaten worse, I suppose".
"Sir?" Ivan timidly asked. "I've been thinking about what you said, and I've got a few questions. Is it all right to ask them now? Otherwise, I can always write them down, and maybe ask them next week?"
"Nonsense, young man; I may be strict about certain things, but not that strict. At least not when it comes to my pupils. My door is always open, as they say."

Agneta soon lost interest in the discussion that followed, and began daydreaming about the time before she met Ivan. Back then, in her mid teens, she hadn't been required to wear handcuffs, but still had done so from time to time, just to see what it was like. Now, in her twenties, and having a boyfriend, she, of course, was and never went anywhere without wearing them.
She was yanked back to reality by Mr McPherson asking her what she had thought of his talk?
"Well sir," she replied, "to be honest with you, I just came along because Ivan said it would be interesting, and it was. My field of interest is usually less dangerous; things like literature. Although I admit, that can be pretty dangerous too; both for the author, and the reader."
"Oh; why is that?" Mr McPherson seemed to be genuinely interested.
"Well; both can end up places that are dark and twisted and not be able to get out. But that is, on the other hand, the kind of books I like; the darker and more twisted, the better. I know that if I lose my way, I can always count on Ivan to show me the right way back." She gave him a loving look, and he made a kissing motion back.
Was it he, who gave you those?" Mr McPherson pointed at the handcuffs.
"Well, I chose them of course, but he gladly paid for them. He'd probably even have paid twice as much; that's how much he loves me!" Agneta's eyes beamed as she said that. She held out her hands, so Mr McPherson could take a real close look at them.
They, and the chains, were made of some kind of white metal; the cuffs being about five centimetres wide and one thick, had a perfect fit and were embellished with enchased vines, which hid the key hole and hinge. On the inside, they were clad with a soft material, so the wearer's wrists wouldn't get chafed.
"There is a collar to go with them, but I left it at home tonight."
Mr McPherson looked admiringly at the cuffs, following the vine on one of them with his finger.
"Astonishing!" he gasped. "They must surely have been made by a master silversmith! So sturdy, and yet so light! They must have cost a pretty penny." He grabbed the cuff with both of his hands, and lightly yanked. "The locks are as exquisitely made as the rest. And you have a collar too, you say? I presume it is of the same exquisite quality, and is as comfortable as these seem to be?"
"I have, sir, and a pair of leg irons" Agneta replied, strangely enjoying being the centre of this man's attention, "but I've never had them on since I bought them, I'm ashamed to say. I did after all spend the best part of an afternoon, having my measurements very carefully taken. He even made me a bit-gag, free of charge."
"I can see that! These cuffs certainly aren't off-the-shelf ones! You have to excuse my forwardness, and I know it is highly irregular, and that I may get fired, just for asking this; is it possible I might see what you look like, wearing the complete kit?"
"Sure, I'll have Ivan put me in all of it for your next talk."
"I was thinking more along the lines of me visiting you. How about tomorrow?"
Agneta gave Ivan a look, as if to say "Now see what you've gotten us in to!" Ivan looked decidedly awkward, but said: "We'd be honoured, sir."
"Nonsense," Mr McPherson smiled. "The pleasure will be all mine, I can assure you."
Whazzzz up!.
