barefoot in snow

Postby NaughtyNats » Sun Jan 20, 2013 2:31 am

Hey My Mum me and a friend Sara decided to do a crazt thing last night. we all tried walking round the block barefoot in the snow , mum even had a skirt on. Well we lasted about 20 seconds but left a trail of bare foot prints outside the house. lol

it took about half an hour to warm our feet up again.

Anyone else tried this?

yep that is crazy, i have done similar things a couple of times.

for an instance last easter i took a bath in the ocean while it was snowing.
then it was that one time went skiing wearing only pants.
and then it was that time i had a snowball war (also not wearing anything on my upper body).

Sixty degrees is too cold to go outside barefoot, much less temperatures cold enough for snow.

Cold weather sucks. Hot and humid weather isn't much fun either but it's better than cold. Just as long as you don't lose air conditioning.

I accidentally stepped through shallow ice once on one of the rare occasions it's been truly icy (just wide enough for one leg to go through). That'll get your attention in a hurry.

Dear gosh, better be careful when traipsing through ice then! Then again, wouldn't it be funny if you fell in and some girl came and got you out? Okay, now I'm just being a troll.

Anyway, yeah, this is something you would do if you want to get frostbite. I'll tell you what I've done though, which isn't a lot at all. For the best few days around where I live it's been in the teens or even in the single digits (I'm talking farenheit here). I was outside with ripped jeans on (so lots of holes exposing my bare flesh), a long-sleeved shirt, a swearshirt, and socks and shoes. The swearshirt does have a wool lining, but it is not that warm. It was gosh darn freezing. A few times I've had to walk a quarter of a mile in that kind of snow, but yesterday I just couldn't handle it and I stopped in the library to get a hot chocolate before I went back to my dorm. I have been outside before for five seconds in only my karate uniform. A few times I might have even gone out the door in nothing but the tank top I wear under the uniform...I can't remember.
