"Writer's block" is not uncommon. Even professionals get it.

The simplest solution is to stick with what you know. I can write about kids playing TUG's, and in the conversational tone and language they use. I can also write about several sports, as I have played them, or otherwise been close to others who have played them. But I would be lost trying to write about an adventure on Mars. I don't know a damn thing about propulsion systems, the Martian climate, or anything else that would add credibility to the story.

Another help might be to carry a small notepad and a pen/pencil with you. If an idea hits when you are away from the computer, jot it down. You'd be surprised at how many times I have come up with absolutely brilliant ideas for a story, only to get involved with something else, then forget the ideas completely.

i'm not a writer but when i get stuck in doing anything, i let it go and attend to do other stuff. for u i guess u'd better stop wrestling with the unfinished story, maybe starting another one _which has struck ur mind lately!?_ or u can just empty ur mind totally! letting it rest a bit, for hrs, days or even weeks. and after that,ur fullrested mind automatically starts to work and build new ideas.
if u chose to start new story u can still get inspiration from outside for ur suspended story, like discussing it with other ppl, but don't force ur mind for thinking about it anymore. keep it suspended till u'r ready to go on.
and again, i'm not a writer so maybe u should hear what WRITERS tell u here, that's only some advice i thought could be useful ;) wish it works after all
so we wait for ur finished stories and enjoy reading em! :)
take care
Ana

There's nothing wrong with different stories having nearly identical plots. It's how you twist the plot that makes a story interesting and exciting.

Happens to me sometimes. Even though I have the whole thing planned and laid out, I get stuck because I can't find words sometimes, having to rewrite certain paragraphs over and over again to improve the story in any way possible
