Neither Theist or Deist. Merely one of the Ã…satru who is used to the monotheist blasphemy.

Yes, the "cult" of Odin (Woden) as the Alfather but don't believe all you hear about knife-weilding Nazi thugs.
The Nazis stole the idea of "fatherland" and used our rune, along with others, on their uniforms (Check out SS).
Read the Elder (Poetic) Edda, particularly the "Words of the High One". A) it's a great yarn. B) let's argue.

PS. Yes, I have read the Bible, although I skipped all the begatting in Numbers. Did you know that Psalm 104 is the hymn to the Aten?
Blessed be,
Xtc

ps cult in "" is funny because I often refer to the mainstream Christianity as nothing more than a supper sized cult.

No. It was an attempt by the Pharo to institute a monotheistic religion. It didn't last! The poem did!

It would be closer to say that Christianity is a sect of Judaism. During the period of time wherein Acts was written, the Jewish Community was split down the lines of Jews that practised the old ways, or Jews that followed Jesus.
Eventually, the latter became known as Christians
(As with all of my comments on this matter, correct me if I'm wrong on history. Please don't think I'm being an arsehole!)
Also, Cultism has some rather harsh definitions attached.

Psalm 104 is, simply speaking, a psalm about the creation of the world. And contrary to what has been said above, significant similarities have been noted but no real connection has ever been made between it and the poem about Aten.

Some Jews converted, but the majority didn't. Many early believers were Gentiles. At its most basic level Christianity could be considered a bit of a completion of Jewish beliefs in the fulfillment of a Messiah (Jesus) but there are more differences between Christian and Jewish beliefs about Jesus so even that's a little misleading.

Not even the fact that the psalm has been "borrowed" wholesale from the original and simply jiggled around a bit before a few more bits have been added?
May I suggest you look more carefully?

I wonder when Judaism became a monotheistic religion? Interesting in the light of the ten commandments, one of which seems to address the situation directly. Let me know what you think.

I did a little bit of research (admittedly nothing too in-depth, but I did see more than a couple of sources about this). No one has ever found a definitive link. The two are pretty similar in many ways, so it's entirely possible David, or whoever wrote that particular Psalm, did copy the format and alter it to praise God. It was something he very possibly would have been aware of. But nothing definitive has ever been discovered connecting the Aten poem or Psalm 104.
