I think you're wrong about the quality of your story's title, xtc. At least to me, the title is unusual and made me curious enough to read the story to see what the land farmers and sailor boys (two things that sound like they have little in common) do when they interact.
Don't get me wrong; there
are problems with the story - the difficulty in keeping track of characters being one. There are so many of them, they have no really distinctive characteristics that one can readily keep in mind, and too many times are referred to by alternate names (it's confusing when , say one character is referred to at various times as (and I am making this part up here because I didn't and couldn't keep it all straight myself and haven't read the story in a long time) Action Man, Tony (or whatever AM's name actually was), or as 'the ginger-haired boy' or as so-and-so's brother. That's fine when you only have three or four characters. When you have well over a dozen in two competing camps all doing different things to different people at the same time, well... it gets awfully bewildering. Some of your descriptions of various set-ups are a tad hard to visualize too... at least for me... and make it hard to tell what is going on sometimes.
But the title was actually a good one imo.

Dare to be different... and make a difference.
