The next Christopher Nolan movie will be Man of Steel, a remake of Superman. Anyone going to see it when it comes out, and why?

I'm excited about it. Nolan is producing not directing however.

I am excited about it, however the trailer did not impress or excite me. I would have loved more than scenes of a random kid in a cape and Deadliest Catch....and what was up with him trying to hitch-hike? Lol, he can fly for crying out loud!
But aside from an unexciteing trailer, it should be an awesome movie....great way to lead into the JUSTICE LEAGUE!!!

I hope the rumors of this being all gritty isn't true, because Superman is the last superhero to be gritty. Probably because he's freakin' Superman.

I really would dislike it if this were the case. Now a little more gravatas wouldnt hurt- but Superman is not Batman- he is the 'pretty-boy' 'poster-boy' of the Justice League. He needs to be light hearted with a heavy sence of Justice.
If they try to make him dark, they might as well put a bat on his chest....just saying.

I'd see it, but only if
(1) they didn't turn him into another Batman. Grim 'n' gritty and Superman do NOT mix!
(2) It was more interesting than Superman Returns, which was effing boring!!!
(3) They don't simply remake the first Chris Reeves movie Superman over again; get a different plot and preferably a different villain because Luthor was done to death in the previous ones.

I think the villain is supposed to be...General Zod, I think.

I'd heard Brainiac, but that was a while ago and this may have changed.

Fair enough. *I* was never much of a Batman guy, whereas I used to buy up a lot of Superman comic books.

Gosh, I've seen more Batman than that! Haven't seen his last three movies nor the one with 'the Arnold' in it, but have seen all the WB animated episodes, and have bought up all the Batman/Brave and the Bold and Justice League dvd series.

I am much more of a Batman fan than a Superman fan, but I'm curious to see where they're going with this movie.

If Metallo makes an appearance, though, that would make it for me.
