An Education - future plans

Postby KP Presents » Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:48 am

If I can crave the indulgence of the powers that be for putting this here, I just want to quickly explaining what's going to happen, and solicit some help.

ITEM!! Mistletoe and Wine has come to an end, and with a total (so far) of 332 pages, that is a good point to start preparing An Education: New Term as an eBook, collecting the stories from The New Teacher to the current point. As with the last eBook, I'm also going to add two exclusive new stories that will not appear here - one will tell the tale of what happened at Alicia's house on New Year's Day, while the other will give a sneak peek at the next generation of the Holderness and Craig families - watch this space...

ITEM!! Skybird and I, a while back, tossed round an idea to resolve a very important question from the past stories. That will start to appear soon, in the PG-17 section, as we discuss the story of The Widow's Shadow...

ITEM!! Mother's Day will start on Monday, but this is your oppotunity to make suggestions as to what stories you want to see in this series - situations, new characters, now's your chance to have your say.

As I say, the story will continue - soon...

A new book already? It just seems yesterday when that first ebook was published. How time flies. So we have New Teacher, Price of Friendship, The Birthday Party, Looking For A New England, While You Were Away,, and Mistletoe and Wine. Six stories. And from the last story, we have new characters. We have Bobby and Colin, the introduction of Heidi’s friends Natalie and Cindy, and of course, we have Mary and Cathy. And the Carters. And the characters aged, well, they celebrated their birthdays!!!

This new ebook will have less serious perils, with only Prince of Friendship seriously about them being taken hostage against their will (There is a little bit of that in in Looking For A New England, but that story wasn’t about at all).

How about including the interviews you’ve posted in this site? And of course, that pirate tale that happened long ago posted on your deviantart site?

As for the new stories, how about we include some of Cassie’s classmates? We have Mary and Cathy for Jenny, so how about we introduce Pippa, Hazel, or Claire? They’re Cassie’s age, and I bet fun with them would be more rambunctious than that of the older girls.

How about a war game in the Holderness grounds? Where there would be two camps and they try to capture each other’s flag, while trying to avoid being captured as well?

And of course, the holiday trip mentioned in the first ebook where they were tied up to the couch of the caravan while they are in the motorway. Hope we can have more than Jenny and Cassie in that story.

Hm, since Jennifer had siblings, does that mean that Jenny and Cassie had cousins too? If they have, are they younger or older? And are they in England? Maybe someone younger, like eight or nine? It would be fun trying to hide it from them, or even explain it! After all, Aunt Connie was tied up by Bobby at six years of age! And it would make Cassie feel like a big sister!! Maybe they could spoil some games by untying the older cousins when they do not want to be untied?

How about a competition on who can last the longest tied up? The first one who signalled they want to be untied would lose, and the last one would be the “winner!”

There’s an island in the middle of the lake at Holderness Manor, right? Maybe they could go to the island and be tied up in the family crypt. At night! That would be scary!!

Anyway, I’m already looking forward to the new stories!!

Oh and what does the symbolism of poppies growing in Holderness Manor when none was growing before as was shown in While You Were Away?

KP Presents wrote:It's going to annoy some people, but what happened on New Year's Day does involve Bobby and Cindy in a fairly big way - you're just going to have to wait to see what the result is...

I wonder what will happen? But readers of your first ebook would know what would happen eventually, so whatever complications happen, they know than in the end…

I just hope that the interviews with Tonifranz in your deviantart account would be included in your next ebook.

Aside from the ideas already given, how about this.

Maybe they can find further excuses to tie each other up like this.

If they want to borrow something from each other, maybe instead of just asking if they could borrow it, they could "rob" each other. But how could you rob one without tying up the owner? Of course, if they could escape before they could complete the robbery, then they'd have to give up.

And how about they also try to borrow things by the device of kidnap for ransom? For example, if Bobby wants to borrow something from Jenny, he could simply "kidnap" Cassie, then tell Jenny to give Bobby what he wants in exchange for Cassie, but if Cassie escapes, then everything's off. Or Jenny could kidnap Suzie if she wants to get something from Angela or Bobby. Of course, it would apply if they have close relatives that are kidnappable, so Cathy and Mary couldn't properly participate except as kidnappers. They could even do that to borrow money, although if that happens, I fear Suzie would the most frequent victim as they are by far the richer victim. And of course, they might do the same to the adults.

Of course, they could also kidnap a relative of the kidnapper to even the odds and instead of giving a ransom in goods or money, it would be instead a prisoner exchange. For example, in the scenario above, if the Craigs kidnap Suzie, the Holdernesses could kidnap Cassie, and just exchange prisoners at the end of the day.

I hope you would consider my ideas for future stories.

Reading about Colin's upcoming date with Jenny gave me an idea.

What if Bobby and Colin take Cassie and Jenny on a double date? Of course, with Cassie being 11, and Jenny being 13, it would entirely innocent and fun.

The catch is, Jenny and Cassie would spend the entire "date" either tied up or tied up and tightly gagged.

Jenny and Cassie would dress up, and Bobby and Colin would pick them up. The surprise is, they have a car, driven by Mr Bridges himself. There, they would be tied up. Then they would go to Bobby's house, where they would see Suzie tied up to prevent her from "interfering" with the date, and watch a movie or something. Then go to Holderness Manor, where they would discover Angela and Alicia tied up too. While there is still sunlight, untie the feet, and have a afternoon stroll around the woods and the lake of Holderness Manor. Then at dinner, tie Cassie and Jenny to the chairs, ungag them, and their beaus would feed them carefully. Afterwards, regag them, play some slow music, untie them from the chairs and untie their feets, and dance with them, with Bobby and Colin leading, while the girls simply follow with their feet to the tune. Then watch a movie with their feets tied up, then have Mr Bridges drive them home. In the car, they would finally be untied, before they would be dropped off at their house.

This type of date, I bet, would be incredibly fun for Jenny and Cassie--they might even find them romantic. If they liked it well enough, they could repeat the experience!!

I just read Jennifer's Tale by Bind-Her.

You've got to include that story in your second An Education Ebook! Please! That story was priceless and beautiful, at a time when Mum still doesn't know that her girls enjoys tying themselves up!!

Speaking of Jennifer’s Tale, I meant to post this right after my last post, but then the site crashed, and so…

I noticed all the suggestions above were for true family fun. None were genuine perils. Here’s a proposal.

Reading that tale, what if those same kidnappers come back because they needed something Mr John Craig has, and hold the family hostage to ensure compliance, as before. But this time, let’s say Alicia and Suzie are with them, so it’s five females, Mum, Cassie, Jenny, Suzie, and Alicia, who would be taken hostage. (Perhaps Patty could be included as well, but only if she could think like Cassie and really think it’s a game).

But here’s the difference. How about some delay or something with what Mr Craig’s doing meant that instead of a single night, they would be held hostage for three days. I noticed that of all the true perils they experienced, it was all for one day or one night. From Learning the Ropes, to Price of Friendship and Surprise Visitor, all of them happened in one night.

I want to know how would they cope with being held as such for a really long period. I think Cassie and Jenny and Cassie are mature enough to endure it, but we’ll see.
And how about if Bobby rescue Cassie, or if not actually rescue her, do something that would be interpreted by Cassie as rescuing her?

Sorry for the delay of the review of your new ebook. Suffice to say, it was really good. I have already gave chapter by chapter review of the main stories, this one will focus primarily on the two bookend stories.

The first one about what happened that New Year’s Day was really fun. I can imagine all those surprises and betrayals. Especially the role Angela and the two boys played. The ending was probably one of best endings in this series. I won’t spoil, just say that any fan of this series should buy it to find out.

The second story is set in the future, but what happened there, I won’t say more, say that it’s really nice to see that the years have not diminished the appetite for their favourite hobby one bit. Even as adults, our heroes can still play as though they were little kids with the new kids on the block. I especially like the “new” characters and how they interacted with the old. I hope we can get more stories like that set in the future. Perhaps a tale on how each of them got introduced to the tie up concept for the very first time?

There’s more that I would like to say, but can’t because of spoilers, so I’ll leave this note. I really enjoyed the two new stories, and combined with the main stories, plus the background stories, make for an awesome ebook.

Anyway, I hope if you ever do a third ebook, please include the Widow’s Shadow in it.

I wanted to post a review here, but I realized that I can't possibly do that and not give away spoilers. So I decided to give my thoughts on the matter plus a family tree on a private message.
