坤邦洛克 (Kun Bang Loke)

All families have them. Distant relatives that have not been heard from or seen for many years. Sometimes their existence is a surprise as their branch of the family tree has been neglected for so long it is forgotten. Such was the case of Uncle Bai and Aunt Daiyu.

Loke Yuan and her family had been in Malaysia for so long that they lost contact with everyone they knew back in their homeland of China. As far as they were concerned all of their relatives were in Malaysia. It was a revelation to find out that there was still family in China; and they were coming to visit.

It was an exciting discovery but more than that it was a reason to have a family reunion. All of the families, including Loke’s, began to organize a celebration. The home of Loke’s aunt Huan was offered by her to host the party. She had a large house and yard with plenty of room for Bai and Daiyu and their four children.

Aunt Huan owns several shops and has done well for herself. She owns a home with a spectacular view on the seashore that could easily be described as a mansion. It is the ideal location to host a celebration that is expected to have about twenty adults and at least a dozen children attending. There is a large yard with a spacious patio, a luxurious lawn, a pool and a colorful flower garden. The garden is arranged as a circular maze with a pagoda-like gazebo in the center.

The day started with car after car arriving during the morning. Introductions were made and everyone sat around on the patio chatting about family history and the intricate path of connections that related each of them to the other. When lunch time came the tables were covered with platters overflowing with delicious dishes. That was when Loke found out that among all these people in one way she was alone.

Even though, due to her small size, Loke looked to be thirteen or fourteen, at nineteen, she was the only teenager. She was six years older than the next oldest child and twenty years younger than the youngest adult. When the plates were full the kids went one way and the adults the other. Loke wasn’t sure where she belonged.

At first she sat with the adults but she soon lost interest in their talk of the “old days”. When it was time for dessert she took her treats and sat with the younger ones. Even though she had more in common with them she still felt out of place.

After the meal the family split up into smaller groups. The women cleared off the food and dishes to the kitchen where they remained to gossip. The men stayed on the patio smoking and drinking and talking about work and golf. The kids ran around the lawn playing games accompanied by much screaming, shouting and laughter.

Loke retrieved her computer from the car and set out to find a quiet place to be by herself. She found the gazebo.

After solving the maze she was quite pleased with the gazebo. It had windows all around with blinds on each. She closed those facing the grounds so that no one could see her and only left open those facing the ocean. There were several chairs and a small table. Off to the side was a trolley with an assortment of gardening tools and supplies.

After a few hours of catching up with her friends on the internet a voice called out from the house. Cooling drinks were being served. Loke lined up with the others as mint tea was poured for the adults and lemonade and soft drinks were doled out to the kids. She selected an ice cold can of Coke and started to head back to the gazebo when her mom called her over. Loke explained why she had disappeared and had to promise to be more social when supper was served.

As she worked her way back through the maze she didn’t notice that the grounds were strangely quiet. The kids were nowhere to be seen. She soon discovered why.

The kids had seen her leave the gazebo and decided to investigate. When they saw that she had left her computer on they decided to snoop. In the gazebo a dozen small faces surrounded her computer. They had wanted to play some online games. What they had found was a game of a different sort.

Up on the screen was a website called TUG Stories. Loke was puzzled until she remembered that her friend Shanya had borrowed her computer. The kids had found the site in the history of her browser. They were reading the stories out loud and giggling. The stories were all about kids tying each other up.

Loke tried to get to the computer to shut the site down but they pushed her back. They found the stories quite amusing and had no intention of letting her turn it off. Two of the older boys, who were as big as tiny Loke, held her arms to stop her. When she loudly protested something totally unexpected happened.

One of the girls, six year old Linqin, pulled a ribbon out of her hair and stuffed it into Loke’s mouth. She held it there until another girl, ten year old Meili, removed her colorful scarf and tied a tight cleave gag around Loke’s mouth to hold it in. Silenced Loke could do nothing but struggle.

The boys held her tightly and Meili started to give orders to the others. They spread out searching the contents of the gazebo until a young lad, seven year old Hulin, found a ball of heavy twine in the gardening supplies. Soon several long pieces had been unrolled.

Following Meili’s orders the other kids began to weave an intricate mesh of twine over Loke’s body starting at her neck and working their way down. The twine was knotted here and there, wound around itself and fastened into an ornate yet restrictive web.

‘This is called Kun Bang’ Meili told the others ‘I learned it watching my babysitter do it with her boyfriend.’

Two of the boys, brothers Kang and Liko, said ‘Our mom and dad do it too but they don’t know that we saw the video they made.’

Loke listened with disbelief as they all chattered about how they had first learned of Kun Bang. She knew the words meant “to bind” but she had no idea that it was the name for a type of bondage. She had heard of Shibari, the Japanese art of erotic bondage, but had no idea that her culture had their own version of it.

Before long she was securely bound from her shoulders to her ankles. The twine held her arms tight to her sides in at least six places and her legs were the same. She tried to loosen it up to escape but her hands fluttered uselessly at her sides and if she made any attempt to move her feet or legs she began to tip over.

She could see her reflection in one of the windows. The twine artistically weaving back and forth was knotted into diamond shaped patterns. Loke really could have appreciated it as a work of art had she not been trapped in the center of it.

She no sooner wondered what they were going to do next when they picked her up and carried her out of the gazebo. They scurried along the maze with their captive winding back and forth along the paths. As they exited the garden and crossed the lawn the men on the patio took notice. They called to the women inside.

The kids stood Loke up at the edge of the patio. The women coming from inside began to giggle and point at Loke. The men approached her and began to slowly walk around Loke examining the children’s creation. They looked very serious as they scrutinized each knot.

The women kept their distance and whispered to each other. Loke caught little snippets of what they said. Each was recounting the story of the first time they were tied up or the details of their favorite tie up. One even recalled how she spent her entire honeymoon, three days, bound in various ways.

Loke was helpless and embarrassed and the center of attention. Finally one of the men, Loke’s father of all people, smiled and declared that the kids “had done very good work”. The other men lost their stern faces as they smiled in agreement and began to point out particular details that they found were worthy of praise.

The women all smiled and some even applauded when the men stated their approval. The kids, satisfied with the praise they had received, drifted away to play, no longer interested in their captive. The men returned to their seats and their drinks and picked up the conversation from where it had left off.

Loke was amazed that this incident was treated so casually. Obvious this Kun Bang was an accepted part of Chinese culture that she had somehow missed out on when growing up. She stood wondering if anyone was going to let her out when finally her mother Siew Teng split off from the group of women returning to the house.

She approached with a big smile on her face obviously pleased with her daughter’s introduction to an ancient tradition. Loke was just happy that she was finally going to be untied but then she was shocked when her mom first stopped to take a picture.

“That is not going into the family album” thought Loke.

It's not often that I get to say that there is a moral to the story but this is one of those times. We all have to be careful when accessing sites like this one. If others have access to our computers our "secret life" may not stay that way.

It will be fun if people accept us. The worse case scenario will be, we'll be thought as masochist or sadist..

If a woman gets caught people will usually think she is adventurous or kinky and in many cases it will make her seem more exotic. If a man gets caught he's considered a pervert and a potential rapist.
