My girlfriend and I are always trying to up with new games to play. I put this in the regular stories category as it's not just for "romantic people" anyone could partake in a game like this. I have written out the latest one we've come up with. We plan to try it out this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes and what items we end up using! Please let me know your thoughts on ways to improve the game!!!
SUMMARY:
The following is detailed in the 8 steps below, but basically there are 2 rounds, and 10 minutes combined to escape between the two. There is 1 pool of tie-up items that is divided into 3 groups. Only two of the groups will be used in the game, so it is up to the Tie-er to be smart about how the items are divided up. The game can be made into varying scales of difficulty based on how restrictive the pool of items put out at the beginning. Here's how it works...
STEP 1 - Items Put Out:
Tie-ee creates a pool of tie-up items for Tie-er to choose from.
STEP 2 - Items distributed to rooms:
Tie-er puts all items from the Item pool into 3 different rooms. Tie-er can put as many or as little items in each room, and can choose any combination of the items to leave in each location. As for furniture: Each room contains 1 bed and no chairs (for now).
STEP 3 - 2 of 3 rooms chosen:
Tie-ee (without know what room contains what) chooses 2 of the rooms by number.
STEP 4 - Which room first:
Tie-er decides which of the two rooms Tie-ee will begin in.
STEP 5 - Chair added to 1 of the 3 rooms:
Tie-ee rolls a 6-sided dice. The roll will determine what room number a chair will be placed in. Values 1,2 and 3 count for their normal values, while 4 counts as 1, 5 as 2 and 6 as 3.
STEP 6 - Tie up #1:
Tie-ee is tied up by Tie-er in first selected room, using only the items distributed to the room. Only the bed (and chair if there is one) can be used to tie tie-ee to. The Tie-er can, of course, just tie the tie-ee to themself (hog tie) if there is enough material in the room. The Tie-er has 5 minutes to tie the Tie-ee up.
STEP 7 - Escape attempt #1:
A stop watch is placed just outside of the room, and is set for 10 minutes. The Tie-ee has a combined total of 10 minutes to escape from room #1 and #2. The clock is started and the Tie-ee must escape from the bonds enough to get out of the room and turn the stop watch off. The door to the room may be closed, but not locked or blocked in any way. The clock stops when the tie-ee stops it. It remains at the stopped position for the second escape attempt. So if it takes 6 minutes to escape form the first room, only 4 minutes will remain for the second room.
STEP 8 - Tie up #2
Tie-ee is tied up by Tie-er in second selected room, using only the items distributed to the room. Only the bed (and chair if there is one) can be used to tie tie-ee to. The Tie-er has 5 minutes to tie the Tie-ee up.
STEP 9 - Escape attempt #2:
The stop watch is placed just outside of the room, and is set for the remaining time left from the previous 10-minute round. The Tie-ee has a combined total of 10 minutes to escape from room #1 and #2. The clock is started and the Tie-ee must escape from the bonds enough to get out of the room and turn the stop watch off before the time is up. The door to the room may be closed, but not locked or blocked in any way. The clock stops when the tie-ee stops it. If time remains on the clock, Tie-ee wins. If time has expired, Tie-er wins.
