This Just In

Postby drawscore » Mon Jul 10, 2017 3:15 am

The local news just reported that the perpetually offended and outraged are now pissed off because the big, bad conservatives call them "snowflakes."

Awww, are their poor widdle feewings hurt? Too bad, so sad.

We have homelessness, crime, dying veterans, cops being assassinated, and a host of other problems and concerns, and these whining twits are pissed off because they are called "snowflakes." They are in need of a serious attitude adjustment.

Grow some thicker skin, you bunch of candy assed snowflakes!

That's pretty rich coming from the same people who pitched a fit about Starbucks cups and whine and cry every time someone doesn't treat the rapist and con man they voted for with sufficient reverence, but by all means keep yelling at that cloud.

That's rich, considering how much the conservatives whine and complain all the time when things do not go their way.

The ironic thing is that Bozo the Clown is the thinnest skinned creature who is capable of frequently embarrassing himself on line.

I see Drawscore is still being a political troublemaker. Maybe we need to do a story on tying him up. "Snowflakes vs. hostage"

Damn it,it's my job to be the devil's advocate (or horse's ass if you will), and I like to think I'm good at it!.

Besides, I just retired. I can piss people off with impunity, and it don't mean diddly squat. The check still comes every month.

So, to my friends, "Thank you." To my enemies, "Screw you!" To those that don't care one way or the other, neither do I. (Probably the sentiments of a lot of members.)

The Maybot would try to spin it. I get the feeling that Betty would prefer to pass the whole embarrassment down to Dumbo. Problem: Dumbo is quite likely to tell Bozo what he thinks.

I have this wonderful picture, if only we could pull it off, that when all the flags and feathers that he dsires so much, are on display, the Mall could be lined with lots of people turning their backs on him.

I thought Obama was a racist, low life scumbucket, but if I had been invited to the White House for dinner with him, I would have accepted, out of a sense of respect for the office of the presidency. (And I probably would have behaved myself, too.) I am of the opinion that the office commands respect. The person who occupies the office, must EARN my respect.

Bozo was invited by a Prime Minister who does not command a majority in Parliament (either House) and who is so desperate to hold on to power having over-played her hand in calling a General Election and losing her majority that she is ditching one policy after another. If he accepts, Betty will have to put up with him. I expect she will, as ever, behave herself and Bozo might possiby do so as well.
That puts me under no obligation to behave myself whatsoever.

With that part at least I definitely agree. And as far as *I* am concerned Trump is failing miserably to earn mine. I thought I detested Bush Jr, but at least I thought he was worth of respect. Imo Trump deserves none, because he is a flim-flam man through and through.
Of course, with a choice between Trump and Hillary, we were screwed either way anyway.
That's why I rooted for Bernie Sanders. His only fault was that he lacked the drive and foresight to see his campaign through.

I was skeptical of Bernie, mostly because he was a self-proclaimed socialist, and I see in the news almost every day, the results of having a socialist leader, in Venezuela. Everywhere socialism has been tried, it fails, but the socialists say "That's because the right people weren't in charge."

If Arkansas State Troopers, assigned to the Clintons' protective detail, and Secret Service agents are to be believed, Hillary was a foul-mouthed harridan, contemptuous of them, and of the military. I felt that under a Hillary Clinton presidency, disabled vets and the military, would be ignored, get shafted, or both, Since there is a large number of my extended family that are vets, and a few military retirees, I felt a Clinton presidency would not be in their (or my) best interests.

Hillary also came across as a scheming, dishonest candidate, from the way she (and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz) screwed Bernie during the primaries, and how she conspired with Donna Brazille (sp), (at the time employed by CNN), to get advance copies of debate questions for her debates with Trump in the period between the nominations, and the election.

I was not particularly enamored of Trump, either. It was like an old "South Park" episode, where the school had to choose a new mascot, and the choices were a "giant douche," and a "turd sandwich." I held my nose, and voted fro Trump, as the lesser of two evils. (But the lesser of two evils, is still evil.)

Now that Trump has been in office for six months, I feel that the vets and military have fared better under him, than they would have, under Clinton. I think she would have ignored the VA scandal, and come up with rules of engagement that would get our people killed in the Middle East. I think she would have opened the border to a horde of illegal aliens, and I suspect that her Supreme Court appointments would include Obama, and Loretta Lynch. She was quoted as saying that appointing Obama to the Supreme Court "Would be a great idea." The mere thought of Obama and Lynch being on the Supreme Court, scares the hell out of me, and makes me fear for my country. The steady drumbeat of negativity from the mainstream media, doesn't help, either.

The media reports remind me of the old joke about the two horse race, where the Clinton horse finished second, while the Trump horse came in next to last.

Venezuela is not everywhere! Why do you conservatives always bring up Venezuela and never bring up the various European countries where socialism as you out it has been far more successful? And where the happiness index and life expectancy are the highest in the world!!

It's not just Venezuela, but Cuba, the former Soviet Union, and other countries, even Nazi Germany, have all been socialist countries. Countries like Denmark provide care from cradle, to grave, but the downside, is that taxes are through the roof. The value added tax is common throughout Europe, and the result, is that goods cost between 1.5 and 2.5 times what they cost here.

As for the cuts to which you linked, everything I read, indicates they are proposed, and not "hard and fast" line items. This administration, along with previous administrations, were in the habit of sending up "trial balloons," to see if an idea would be well, or poorly, received. Well received ideas are generally adopted. Poorly received ideas are usually dropped without comment or fanfare.

I also got the impression that benefits payments would be transferred from the VA, to Social Security, without any reduction in the monetary amount received by the veteran. I could be wrong, but that was my impression.

Comparing countries like Cuba, Nazi Germany, and the former Soviet union with countries like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and iceland is extremely odd at best and shows a real misunderstanding about the difference between socialism as practiced by the former group and the social democracy as practiced by the latter.
Has it ever occurred that the Va benefits you get are, like Social Security and Medicare, the result of progressive, socialist-sympathetic politicians. or do you have the strange idea that conservatives single-handedly created them? Many of the best features, like the G.I. Bill, were supported mainly by the more socially liberal - of both parties but more strongly so by Democrats. Certainly people like McConnell or Paul Ryan would never have created the programs you're so dependent on for a living! They're the kind of folks who killed pensions for almost everyone when Bush Junior took office. And you think they won't want to take away your VA benefits... which is simply another form of pension for military personnel? Oi!!!
So if VA benefits are transferred to Social Secuity and then the republicans mess up social security; then where will you be?

>>>So if VA benefits are transferred to Social Secuity and then the republicans mess up social security; then where will you be?<<<

You conveniently forget that it was the Democrats that screwed up Social Security back in 1965-66, when LBJ, along with the Democrat majority in both houses of congress, removed the money from the Social Security trust fund, and moved it to the general fund, so Johnson could pay for his grandiose "Great Society" programs, and fight the war in Vietnam.

I don't excuse the Republicans, either. They could have filibustered this Democrat act of piracy, but didn't. Perhaps because if they did not go along, they would be blamed for the resulting tax hikes that Johnson and the Democrats were sure to ram through congress.

That's correct, their name was national socialist, that's why in Germany we often use the term NS-Regime. But nothing about them was socialism, they banned all parties who were even the slighest socialistic. They blamed the socialdemocrats for the lost World War I. Except their name nothing in them was socialistic.

Its like North Korea being the ''peoples'' republic of north Korea despite North Korea being a dictatorship for its lunatic dynasty and treats its people like dogs.

Hitler used the phrase to attract votes from dumb people without actually doing anything with it.
