A Really Weird Dream Sequence

Postby The Black Falcon » Thu Apr 05, 2012 1:05 pm

So, last night was an interesting experience for me. For the first time in a while, every single one of my dreams had a correlation, a story line, and a common antagonist.
This is very interesting to me because I remember it all so clearly.

The first dream I remember consisted of me facing a man on top of a construction site in my school. This man in question was named Johnathan Cray. Apparently, John Cray was an escaped convict who planned to bomb the university. I faced him off on top of the construction site (which does exist in my actual school, down to every detail) while dressed as the Black Falcon. Just as I was about to finish him off, I "woke up." Apparently, I was having a flashback in the form of a dream within a dream. So as I "woke up" into another dream, I was informed that John Cray once again escaped from jail (where he ended up after I fought him at the University.) I vowed to find him and permanently stop him.
The rest of my dreams consisted of Johnathan Cray attacking my family, my friends, and even my pets. This man apparently had a huge backing of criminals behind him. He was a man with a vast intellect and a dangerous mindset, always appearing to be one step ahead of both me (the Black Falcon) and law enforcement. Throughout these dreams, I never confronted Cray directly, yet he was the mastermind in the background of several terrifyingly realistic nightmares. During these dreams, he killed a few of my friends, kidnapped my sister, stole my dogs to inject them with some weird formula, set a bunch of killer animals loose in my summer camp, and very nearly killed my mother.
Each dream got me closer and closer to finally confronting Cray, until I finally took on an overweight man who served as his sidekick. That man told me where Cray was attacking next. Apparently, John Cray had finally figured out my secret identity and was heading directly to my house. And sure enough, the next day I was in my house with both of my parents when I noticed Cray's enormous military-quality van parked on the lawn outside of my house, headlights glaring into the windows. I quickly put on my mask and took out my sword, handing a knife to my mom. My dad went out to confront Cray, but since Cray carried a pistol on him at all times, I knew my dad didn't stand much of a chance unless I did something. So I prepared to charge him as soon as I saw him. Just as the door began to open, I woke up for real this time.
My first though after waking up was oddly, still in character. Cray was still alive and terrorizing my loved ones. And he knew my secret identity. I was finally about to finish things with him once and for all, but the conflict was left unresolved when I woke up.

I am extremely interested in this. I mean, sometimes I have clear dreams, but I remembered nearly every single dream down to the last details, including the full name of my adversary, who was the man responsible for everything that happened. Is anybody really good at dream interpretation, or does anybody have any thoughts on this?

My dreams are almost always structured like this. They don't always make sense, but they're always structured like a movie or TV program; or a play I am in.
For instance, I dreamt I was living in a different apartment so small part of my bed hung out over the window (which took up one entire wall)! Despite this I had several college-aged roommates (none of whom were anyone I know in real life. I had to eat out in a cafeteria (which served dinosaur burgers).
No matter how strange things get - such as when a group of giant horkers (ala Skyrim) the size of elephants suddenly attacked and started eating people around me - I never get scared r feel personally threatened in my dreams (any more than I get scared watching a movie or TV).
Dare to be different... and make a difference.
To boldly go where no one in their right mind has gone before...

The Black Falcon, dream sequences such as the one you described here are the cause of imagination working hard even as one dreams. Several of my created rp characters and forum scenarios over the years have been directly linked to this type of mental activity. I advise against getting it treated for you can never tell how it might effect your spirit of creative fan fiction literature.
From whence I came and whence I went heaven said I was too evil and sent me to hell. Demons and devils succeeded in breaking my soul.

I wish I could remember my dreams in that much detail! As it stands, mine are generally a fuzzy mess of totally incoherent happenings xD

As far as dream interpretation goes, it's pretty much like astrology - it's complete rubbish xD From a psychological point of view, your dreams portray your thoughts in a completely abstract sense and to try and decode them into meaning is generally just a bit pointless. However, the fact that your dreams are structured in the way they are is fairly interesting as it isn't at all neurotypical to dream in sequence like that. It might be worth googling around and seeing what that means, haha!

Just out of interest - have you ever made any attempts at lucid dreaming? Because I believe that sequential dreaming is a fairly common side effect of it. But that's all I have to offer in the way of interpretation, hahh. . .

Puts my dream of there being an assassination attempt on a Womble into perspective.

I've had a couple of weird dreams. Like one where I was a sentient watermelon that ate people. Or a Gladiator game in Ancient Rome where everybody there were Kangaroos. Or one that I had a mustache and beard that was like Davy Jones' one from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
