I just love the way the word "gag" sounds when it's said aloud...

It sounds exactly like the effect it produces. I love my captors saying the word aloud as I'm getting tied or sitting tied. Stuff like, "I'll need to put a gag in your mouth" or "Enjoying your gag?".

Does anyone else like this?

I do. It is always great when people use this word. But more I love the czech (my native language) variant of this word, which is "roubík" (probably transcribed as rəʊbeek).

Yes, as a matter of fact, the word "gag" or hearing it used in a sentence directed at me arouses me even more. Along with the phrase, "I'm going to shut you up."

I have known some people that became excited at the sound of the word. As a boy, it was cleave gags most of the time, and the exchange would go something like "Now that I gotcha tied up, I'll keep you quiet with a gag!" The reaction, usually silent, was "Neat! I hope he gags me like (name of TV kid) was gagged the other night on TV!"

But the big thing, was getting loose Do that, and you got to tie and gag the other guy.

There were others I knew - some older acquaintances, like Big Chris's 19 year old college student big brother, who, on occasion, became "visibly excited" at the mention or "tie." or "gag." But at 13, I had no idea what it was all about. Just speculation and guesses. (When I was 14-15, I became more "aware," but it was not a sexual "turn on" for me. Just a game I played and shared with my friends.)

I think it's an ironic word. You have to properly open your mouth to say it, which is the very thing a gag stops you from doing.

It's interesting how it also serves other purposes, meaning a joke in one context, or clearing one's throat.
Favorite examples of the word's use in mainstream shows are the Young Indiana Jones show where a female prisoner says, "i'd like my gag back now," and Catelyn Stark screaming, "gag him," to her men (instructing them to gag Jamie Lannister) in Game of Thrones.
To tie or be tied? I'm not one to care as long as there are gags!
