Outdoor/Tree TUG Safety

The tragic story of Tyler McMillan was sparked off a real debate within the TUG community - even though his experience was evil, sadistic abuse which had NOTHING to do with TUGs.

A few years ahgo, while staying with my cousins during the summer holidays, my cousins, brother and I played a TUG where my brother was tied to the tree for about 4-5 hours. Unlike Tyler's so-called parents, we took great care of my brother and no one was hurt. Tyler's story has made us think again, and initially we decided that tree tugs were too dangerous and we won't play them. We have talked a bit more about it, and decided Tree/Outdoor TUGs are safe as long as the following guidelines are observed to the absolute letter of the law:

As with any TUG, ALL the participants MUST freely and willingly consent to the games.
A safeword MUST be agreed BEFORE the games start, and once given, the games MUST stop IMMEDIATELY and ALL restraints MUST be removed.
Outdoor/Tree TUGs will only be played in temperatures of +15-25C.
The captive MUST NOT be restrained in direct sunlight.
The captive MUST be covered in sun cream and wear a cap with a neb or sunglasses.
AT LEAST 1 captor MUST stay within sight and sound of the captive AT ALL TIME!
The games MUST NOT last any longer than 3 hours - NO EXCEPTIONS!
The captive MUST be visually and verbally checked and rehydrated at least once every 45 minutes regardless of whether any indication of distress or danger is given or not.
Blindfolds, hoods and gags are strictly prohibited!

This might seem a bit OTT, but we don't want any more Tylers! :(

What do other board members think? Anything we've left out?

:)

Mostly good points which I edited out...most should be adhered to in *any* TUG anyway.

However, I think you put the tragic story of Tyler too close to TUGs. Besides the fact that his parents used tie-ups to torture the boy, it has *nothing* to do with consentual TUGs as we here understand them. The tragedy would have been the same had the parents made him drown, starve, eaten by dogs or whatever sicko thing insane minds may come up with.

Cheers

Fesselfan is right, people are reading into it too much!!! There is a vast difference between what happened to Tyler, and the TUGS that people write about on this site!! Tyler's parents were doing it not for the effect of TUGS but to torture their poor son, because they are what we call 'insane' people!! TUGS stories that are posted on this site are a million miles away from what happened to Tyler!! Stories on here are posted for fun, not for torture!!!

I give you credit for making up such rules for health and safety as that is the main thing when it comes to doing TUGS with someone!! But comparing your outdoor tie ups to Tylers death is something that should not be done!!! There are plenty of reasons why people should be aware of the consequences of what happens when you leave your captive outside for too long!! But everyone with common sense would not do that!!!

Just please everyone stop comparing Tyler's tragic death, to outdoor TUGS!!! as i say there is a vast difference, and people should be made aware of that!!!

Thanks
