I am bored.
I have web access and I like a)writing and b) TUGs.
This is what happens when I try to write great literature on the fly.
Without further ado, this is what happens.
Everyone backed up, leaving me face-to-face with... him.
He was the school's finest crime boss, Gill Whitefield.
But I was the school's finest professional badass.
"So, Amy Smith. The so-called 'hero'. We'll see about that tomorrow."
He left.
And for a moment, I felt a weird ominous ping.
But this would be quite the ordeal.
The next day, word had spread, and no one approached me.
But I was not the first victim.
Kyle Jones.
He wasn't present at anything since lunch.
I recieved a threat.
"Guy for a girl, Smith."
I assembled my team.
Gary Kimball - Research
Mary Ross - Agility
Heather Firtha - ... She was the freeloader. Always a freeloader.
Once we got together, we formulated the plan.
But before it went into action, we had some more info.
A picture was sent to me at night.
It showed Kyle and Mary. They were tied back-to-back, and they were on the floor. Both were gagged with tape.
He sent a note: "School. Now."
I snuck out and the remaining team assembled.
We were greeted by Gill.
"Hello, Amy. Gary. Heather."
"Gill," I said.
"Now, here's my deal: I let them go, if I get you."
He pointed to me.
"No. Let them go or I will make you."
"Listen, Smith, you've no choice."
Before I could respond, a van pulled up and out came Gill's older brothers that Delo's adding now cause he didn't get around to it before, and the two were both going to me.
"Gary, Heather, go."
Neither left.
"Fine. Let's fight."
This decision was soon discovered to be stupid, as I was the only one who could do anything right.
Predictably, not ten minutes later, In the school basement, Gary and Heather were like Mary and Kyle, and I was on a chair, my hands and feet bound, tape wrapped around my head several times.
And so, for the fact that unlike my other cases, usually lunch money theft, this was personal.
Also, it was a felony known as kidnap.
So I sat, trussed up like a turkey, while Gill tried to figure put what to do now that he had won.
"Now the school will be mine to dominate," he couldn't stop saying.
"Mm mphmm mm."
I was trying to say, "Let me go," but he had gagged me, so...
"Now, I'm going to go make some phone calls."
Once he left, I struggled. I eventually freed my hands and soon after my... other spots. I worked on helping my colleagues (and Kyle) escape.
"Hey! No one is leaving."
Gill had returned.
The five of us, however, outnumbered him.
"Oh my god, we're alive."
We all recaped, and decided to tell no one.
Of course, the next day I started the school police and Gill started the school mafia, but...
That's a different story.
The plot here was supposed to be a spoof of law and order, but it felt too weird. So this short story popped up. If you guys wish, I'll do a mafia sequel.
