The Grim's Tales

Author’s Note: I have been told, to my face, that my dialogue sucks by my high school creative writing teacher. I promptly told her she was an old hag and to suck on an appropriate body part, and I spent the next two weeks in detention. So lets sally forth and get me some practice at this so called dialogue….

****
It was girl’s night as two best friends painted their toes and just finished watching the latest episode of MTV’s The Hills. It was a lazy night in their apartment, boyfriends away, and no major parties going on. Just some Ben and Jerry’s and a little hypnotic to ease the troubled week away. One girl was the strong, blonde soccer player Katie who was festive and a little ditsy; while there was the meeker Asian-American Erina who tries to hard to keep her intelligence hidden. They both sat on the floor in sweatpants and tank tops and between them was an incredibly weathered book.

“So where did you find this thing?” Erina asked?
“Oh, from Shelly’s room, you know how she is into that occult crap.” Katie replied.
“Yeah.” Erina paused looking at it. “You know where she got it?”
“I think she told me she got it at a yard-sale.”
Erina nodded; a little intrigued by the symbol on the cover of the book. “Lets see what it has to say.”

They flipped through the old book and glanced at the strange symbols that ran down its greasy pages.

“Not really much to look at.” Erina said.
“Shelly told me there is a key to the symbols in the back.”
Katie flipped the dirty pages over and revealed a few small folded up notes. She selected the top note and unfolded it and scanned the page.

“Any luck?” Erina asked?
“Unless you know Chinese.” Katie replied.
“I think that is Japanese.”
“Who cares,” replied Katie, Erina gave her a dirty look. Katie smiled at her and selected a few more and found till she found letters that made since to her, “Here we go.”
Erina pulled out a pen and paper and began to transcribe.

After about an hour they managed to translate a page in the book.
“So what does it say?” Katie asked?
“Something about the unleashing the fears upon thine enemy.”
“Wow, you sound like a dork.” They both laughed.
“To be honest it sounds kind of scary.” Erina said.
“Yeah it does.” Katie replied and was about to close the book when Erina grabbed her arm.

“What?” Katie asked? “I’m not going through another hour of this.”
“I thought I saw something.” Erina said and began flipping the pages to a page that had English letters written over top the strange symbols. “Seems someone has already saved us the time.”
“Well what does this speeelllll do?” Katie asked with a grin.
“Doesn’t say.” Erina said not looking up.

Katie sighed and grabbed the book from Erina and began to read the strange words that she had trouble rolling off her tongue. Erina watched her friend in shock as she finished the quick spell.
“What the hell?” Erina said, her face full of anxiety.
“Oh come on.” Katie rolled her eyes. “You don’t actually believe this crap?”
“Well,” Erina was caught, her own anxiety got the best of her again, her meds must be wearing off she thought, “its just that, I don’t know.”
“Oh your such a worry wart.” Katie teased.

They quietly waited, each girl staring at each other.
“BOOO!” Katie yelled.
Erina jumped, “Your such a bitch.” Katie laughed and Erina broke into a smile.
“Well with all this excitement I have to go call Gary and tell him I’m okay.” Katie said.
“I bet he is drunk,” replied Erina.
“He better not be,” Katie’s face becoming stern, “cause I might kill Travis if he is.”
“Ah, don’t hurt my little snoochem.”
“I’ll do worse.” Katie gave a wicked grin.

Katie left Erina to call Gary in her bedroom.
“Gary, you there.” Katie asked over her phone. There was a loud blast of background noise and people yelling. “Gary, its me. Is everything alright?”
Through the noise she heard, “I’ll be home tonight,” a burst of drunken screams, “love–.”
“Jesus Gary.” Katie said to herself hanging up the phone.

She returned to the living room to find the room empty and bottle of hypnotic tipped over.
“Eri?” Katie called out using Erina’s knickname. There was no answer. Katie felt a little nervous and looked at old worn book lying conspicuously on the ground.
“Eri?” Katie yelled again while she slowly approached the kitchen. As she rounded the corner Erina jumped out with her hands up.
“BOO!” Erina yelled. Katie didn’t even flinch and just shook her head.
“Your never going to be able to scare me girl,” Katie said with a grin, “and you knocked over the hypnotic and stained the carpet.”
“I did?” Erina asked?
“Yeah, go look.” Erina took a look into the room and saw the knocked over bottle.
“Huh. I must have not noticed that.” Erina said. Katie rolled her eyes at her.
“I’ll just get another bottle from my room.” Erina said smiling at her.

Katie got some carpet cleaner and a rag from the kitchen and headed back into the living room. She downed the remaining hypnotic and began to scrub away the stain. She looked back into the room and saw that it was still empty.
“How long does it take you to find a bottle of hooch under your bed?” Katie called out. There wasn’t an answer so she figured she must be trying to reach Travis. Katie let out a sigh and returned the rag and cleaner to the kitchen. The living room was still empty when she returned.
“Your not going to scare me girl so you might as well come out.” Katie hollered out and then plopped herself down in front of the T.V. She flipped through the channels till she got to MTV.
“Since when did MTV show music videos?” She called out again. There was no answer and it started to annoy her. Sighing again she flipped off the T.V. and started walking toward Erina’s room.

“This isn’t funny Eri.” Katie called out. She opened the door to find the lights off. There was a noise coming from the bed and Katie could only make out an outline of a person sitting there.

“Eri, what’s going-” was all Katie could get out when turned on the lights. Erina’s face was pale white as she sat on the bed securely bound with white rope, and scarf cleaving her lips, which looked to be keeping large amount of cloth from popping out. The strangest part was surrounding her were strands of white rope staring at her as if they were snakes.

Katie put her hand over her mouth and looked down to see rope snaking it’s way to her. She backed up away from the incoming rope, when she felt something around her wrists. She quickly looked down to see rope coiling around them, she gave a yelp and tried to pull free, but the rope was to strong and inhumanly pulled her arms behind her back and began coiling around her arms. Katie opened her mouth to scream when a large sock entered her mouth causing her to gag on it. Coughing and disoriented, Erina couldn’t stop a scarf from wrapping around her head and lips keeping the sock firmly in place.

Screaming into her gag, Katie could only watch as rope wrapped itself around her legs, and wrap around her torso pinning her arms to her body and she moaned into her gag. Katie looked up to see Erina being led into the hallway, her arms tied behind, her mouth packed full of cloth, and a rope around her neck pulling her along. Erina was pulled into Katie and their terrified eyes met as rope coiled around them joining them tightly together. Suddenly a rope passed between the girls and tied itself off, the other half lashed itself to the ceiling fan above them and pulled them up onto the tiptoes.

Both girls grunted into their gags and looked into each other’s eyes of a way to escape. Seeing the helplessness in each other’s eyes they relaxed into each other’s shoulders and began to sob. There was a rustling noise as the rope seemed finished with its pray as feather appeared from the living room and hung around the girls. They both looked around them in fear of what was about to happen.

The assault was quick as the feathers attacked their exposed heals and sides as their shirts had been pulled slightly up from their bindings. They screamed their lungs out as the feathers attack was vicious, but then they retreated back and hung menacingly. Again the feathers assaulted as both girls went into hysterics as the feathers showed no mercy to them.
For twenty minutes the feathers would continue this gorilla tactic of attack and retreat. The girls were left sweating, no longer able to look each other in the eye and tears flowed down their cheeks. After this the feathers disappeared back into the living as the rope tied to the ceiling fan slowly loosened and let them stand on their quivering legs. Rope began to slide away as they were able to break away form each other, their hands still helpless held behind them.

Before they could get their bearings some rope rose up and leashed them. Both girls moaned into their gags as they realized the night was not over yet. The rope tugged them away from each other and led them into their rooms as both looked at each other in fear. Once inside the door was closed and their clothes stripped from them. Katie, a regular sports player was comfortable, but Erina felt bashful as these monstrous creatures exposed her.

The rope led them to each their beds and bound them spread-eagle to it. Their gags remained, but both felt relieved that the nightmare might finally be over.

Two young men stumbled into the door as one fumbled for his keys.

“Dammit Travis, Katie is going to murder me.”
“Dude, dude, dude,” the drunk Travis began, “help me with the door.”
Gary, equally as drunk, helped Travis turn the lock and they stumbled into the lit living room.
“Well, they left the lights on for us.” Travis said.
“Now where is knife that is headed for my head?” Gary asked.
Travis laughed. “You know I could really go for some drunk sex right now.”
“Dude, me to, but they have to be drunk to, and not going to kill us.”
“Yeah, if only we were that lucky.”

The guys walked to their girlfriend’s rooms and silently opened them. They both peered in and their mouths dropped and turned back to each other.

“Dude!” Travis exclaimed!
“Dude!” Gary exclaimed back, shock on both their faces.
“You to?” Travis asked.
Gary nodded.
There was nothing left to do, but give each other a fist pound and bolt into their rooms.

Dawn was breaking when a mysterious man entered the apartment. He saw the book on the ground and headed for it.
“Who are you?” Asked a young woman, she was armed with a kitchen knife.
The man looked up, a hood covering his eyes.
“I have just come for my book.” He pointed to it.
“I bought that at a yard sale.” Shelly said.
“It belongs to me. It is fire child, and fire that will burn you if you are not careful.” He walked past her and picked up the book and slid it into his bag. “I am sorry, but here.” The man said and left a few notes on the table. Shelly backed up and watched as the man left and shut the door behind him.

Being someone who loves bondage more than 99% of the population I ca attest to the greatness of this story.
I am into very strict self bondage that someone else tells me to put myself in. I prefer to complete it in a public venue and wearing garterbelt, stockings underwear and street clothing.
