This is somewhat of a continuation of Held Hostage by Father's Ex-Girlfriend. I hope you all like it.
About a year after the situation with Debbie at my house I was going to the local community college getting my degree in arts and literature. Because of my father's good pension I could not recieve any grants or scholarships no matter how good my grades were. I was beginning to go into a ten thousand dollar student loan debt but I was determined to finish school.
Later on that evening I got onto Facebook and saw a friend request from Debbie. I accepted it immediately and sent her a long winded message telling her how I was doing and the amount of debt I was going into to get my degree. Not ten minutes later I got a response from her telling me that she was coming to be in town later that week for her upcoming class reunion. Debbie and my father both graduated in 1973 but my father never cared for such class get togethers. I sent her a reply back telling her we should catch up at the coffee house downtown. We agreed on a time and I logged off and went to sleep.
I was running late to the coffee house meeting because my work at the department store was beginning to wear on me. The upcoming debt was forcing me to work longer hours and seek better positions in the store. I was wearing my black skirt, black hosery, and white blouse which all were lightly coated in dust due to my new work ethic in keeping my department nice and tidy so the shift managers would notice how well I was doing and hopefully give me a decent raise or promotion. Debbie greated me warmly when I walked in. We both sat down and ordered lattes. She was wearing her famous brown capris and a black Colorado Rockies t-shirt.
We began to chat about the weather and other small talk topics. Eventually, after the drinks had been presented to us, we got on the discussion of my student loan debt. "Kim, I have a plan that can get you out of that debt fast." I looked at her kind of strange. She whispered in my ear, "Kim, what if we staged a kidnapping of you and collected on the ransom?" I was shocked.
After a few minutes of awkward silence and a small chat about she had seen Slade open for Mott the Hoople in 74' we got back on the main topic again. "Ok Debbie, I'll let you kidnap me." "Where would you keep me though?" "How much should we demand for my safe return to my father?" Debbie spoke in near silence, "I was thinking like fifty thousand." Fifty thousand dollars would keep me out of student loan debt forever. "I'm assuming you would want half of that money right Debbie?" "Well yeah, it would be a team effort," she chuckled. "I'd probably keep you hostage over at my parent's old house just in the next town over." "It's a short drive," she said.
To be honest with this audience I kinda liked this idea. My dad had been on my ass for a while and I was getting pretty sick and tired of how he was treating me. This would give him something to grieve over and it would get me out of debt forever, a win win situation in my book. Was this really gonna work? Was I really going to surrender myself to Debbie's will again?
I agreed to be kidnapped later that evening in the park by the dasterdly Debbie. I went to my house to grab a duffle bag of clothes and some other feminine necessities. Dad was wondering what I was doing so I told him I was meeting my friend Courtney in the park and then was going to help her with one of her final exam projects for American Literature. He said, "Cool."
I left the house and drove to the park on that cool May evening. I parked next to the old band pavilion, shot a quick text to Debbie, and within minutes her Buick Lasaber pulled up next to me and I got in the passenger seat.
More to Come...
