JP's "Rule"

This is a story that happened a long time ago. As far as I can remember this was the first time I ever tied someone up. I hope someone finds it interesting.
Anyway, I was stuck watching my younger brothers on a rainy day, and their friend JP was over playing. JP, who was about 8 at the time, was sitting on the couch and had his feet up on the coffee table. I was trying to get around him, so I just grapped his feet by the heels of his shoes and lifted them up out of my way. JP's mom was kind of frugal, so she always bought his clothes a little big so that he could "grow" into them. So needless to say his shoes were big on him, and as I lifted his feet, he pulled his feet right out of the shoes, leaving me standing there holding two empty shoes. He grinned really big at me, flashing his dimples, and shouts ,"YAY!!"
I asked "What are you yaying about, did you want your shoes off?" He grinned again and said "Yeah, now you have to tie me up."
I asked him why and he said "You took my shoes off, now you have to tie me up." I said "I didn't take them off, you did." He said, "It doesn't matter, my shoes are off now. Those are the rules." I didn't see what one had to do with the other, so I just ignored him and left the room. But he wouldn't let up, he followed me into the other room saying, "Come on, tie me up. Tie my hands."
I figured I'd humor him just so he would leave me alone. So I grapped the first thing I could find that could be used to tie someone up. It was a small rope that went with my brother's ninja sword. So I grapped him hands and started tying them together in front of him. He then yells "NO! Do it behind me!"
So I thought, might as well do it right. I untied his hands and he turned around, crossing his wrists behind his back. I start to tie them-again, behind his back this time. Now he yells to my brothers, "help you guys! He's tying my hands behind my back." So I asked him if he wanted my to stop. He looked over his shoulder, grinned again and said "NO!"
I finished tying his hands and he ran out of the room to show my brothers how he had been made a "slave". He stayed tied for about half an hour before my brothers untied him. At this point it had stopped raining so they all went out to play.
I don't know what it was about JP. But for some reason, at least when I was around, he always seemed to associated having his shoes off and being in his socks with bondage. Many times after that I would hear him say to my brothers "Let's take our shoes off and be your brother's slaves."
