Wyatt -- I've see a few examples of what you're talking about. From my generation, courtesy and civility would demand at least a farewell note to close the issue or relationship however light whereas today with the net, that sense of personal responsibility can be ignored thanks to the depersonalization of the computer medium. In my opinion, this is wrong in that common courtesy should never be dependent on the presence or lack of a computer. By continuing to water that defect of character, it may become the norm. It is self destructive and will always bring remorse to its user, sooner or later. I hope it never takes hold.
