Life on Hold

Postby JJTauzell » Sun May 22, 2011 10:42 am

*Side note, this is a collaboration between me and JackBrentonSucka and myself. I have no idea when he's going to post part two, because he tends to forget things easily. We've known each other for almost thirteen years, so I would know.*
*Another side note, this story contains characters from MTV's Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory-their names, but certainly not personalities.*

Part 1-

My crystal-ish blue eyes scanned over my finished history assignment. Next to me, my older brother, Scott, was working his way through his Calculus homework. It was so easy being a genius. Our mom ran in, smiling. "Scott, Chris, we found a GREAT house! It is beautiful! It's going to be great for my painting, and your dad's writing! It's amazing!" my mom always had this thing about houses. She loves finding run down ugly house's, and making them amazing. That's what she was planning to do with this one. Scott cleared his throat.
"Where is this house?" he asked, not sounding to excited.
"It's in Kettering! Pretty close to where the Dyrdek's live, actually." she said, thinking we would just love living closer to our aunt, uncle, and two cousins-Denise and Rob.
"And exactly where are we going to live where you're fixing the place up?" Scott asked, practically hinting that he didn't want to live with the Dyrdek's again. I didn't blame him-the experience over winter break was enough. I shivered at memory.
"With your aunt and uncle,of course," she looked at me. "Chris, go put on a sweatshirt or something. You're going to catch your death with the temperature." I rolled my eyes, but went up to my room to change. Even upstairs, I could hear Scott trying to convince mom that we just stay in a hotel or something. I ran my fingers through my dirty blond hair, trying to stall so I didn't have to go back to homework. It was 7:30, so I decided to take a shower. Even after that, it was only 7:53. My cellphone stared busting out "No Hands" alerting me that Rob Dyrdek-our cousin,of course-was calling.
"What do you want?" I asked him kind of harshly as I answered.
"One million dollars, or you don't get your cousin back!"

Part Two!!! (Yay, Jack finally finished!)

The voice sounded to much like Rob's for me to take it seriously.
"Very funny, Rob." I said, and hear him laugh.
"Yeah, I suck at making my voice deep!" he said. I rolled my eyes.
"Why are you calling me, anyways?"
"I just can't wait to see you and Scott." he said, with a hint of evil in his tone.
"Whatever." I said hastily and hung up.

FIRST DAY IN KETTERING, OHIO...

I jumped out of the truck-while attempted to, anyways. I give myself a D for effort. I landed on the pavement below, but I didn't hurt too much. To my surprise, Scott didn't laugh. He helped me up, and we started unloading the car. Since Scott was seventeen and had his license, he had to drive to the Dyrdek's house. It wasn't fun-mainly because my brother is normally quiet, and the drive lasted 3 hours and 25 minutes. "Let's go." Scott said. We dragged our suitcases to the door and knocked. Uncle Gene answered with a warm smile.
"Hey there, Pfaff brothers!" he said, hugging us. Neither me or Scott said anything. Gene led us in, and stopped in the living room. "Patty, Rob! Scott and Chris are here!" he yelled. A second later, Aunt Patty emerged from the kitchen, and Rob came running down the stairs. We sat there in silence, until Denise came in with a guy me and Scott never met.
"Hey! Daddy, you never told me the Pfaffs were coming!" Denise said, smiling at me and Scott.
"I told you yesterday." Gene said, giving the other guy a disapproving look-the guy that Denise introduced as her boyfriend, Ray Hansen. After awhile, me and Scott ended up in the guest bedroom where we'd be staying for awhile. Scott went out for awhile, mainly to get away from the Dyrdek's for some time. He had asked me to come with, but I had rejected. It was around midnight, and Scott wasn't back. I didn't worry too much, so I just went to sleep.

I woke up to something cold pressed against my neck. Something VERY cold. I didn't like the way it felt. I opened my mouth to scream, but someone clamped their had down on my mouth. My thoughts went back to the object. Please don't be a knife, please, please, please!I thought. It was not a knife however-it was a gun. I went wild. I started TRYING to scream, but something was stabbed into my shoulder. I felt myself getting strangely heavy. A red haze filled my mind, and an annoying ringing sound filled my ears.
"Sorry bout this, Pfaff." a VERY deep voice said calmly. I wouldn't have found this creepy had it been my first name, but since it was last, it was weird. My thoughts suddenly shut down.

Part 3

I sat there, tied and gagged, while Rob was talking to my mom on my cellphone. He smiled for a second, then turned the phone towards me, and took a picture. I rested my head against the back of the chair I was currently taped to. While Rob was holding the phone in one hand, in the other he held a silver magnum-which he kept locked on me. Upstairs, Scott was resting peacefully. Lucky him. I knew Rob was KIND OF crazy, but I didn't know it went this far. He hung up the phone, and tossed it on the couch. The rest of the Dyrdek's? They were all somewhere else-where as the house would be occupied only by me, Scott, and Rob for a week.

"What are you DOING?!" me and Rob heard a voice coming from the back of Rob. There stood Scott, staring at Rob and me. Rob was shocked for a second, but calmed quickly. He stood behind me, one of his hands around my neck...and the gun he kept locked on Scott.
"Believe me, if you come closer, I will snap his neck!" Rob said. Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry... of course I knew I would eventually-out of either pain, or me being completely miserable at the time. Scott withdrew quickly. I knew he didn't want to see me get a broken, let alone get killed. A tear ran down my cheek. Scott gasped, then looked at Rob.
"Let go! You're hurting him!"

Sorry this part is short! Next part WILL be longer, I promise!

Part 4-

Rob rolled his eyes, but kept his confident smirk.
"Ah,well, Chrissy doesn't seem to mind." he said. Ugh. He started calling me Chrissy when I was seven, and I hate it so much. Outside, I suddenly started hearing sirens. Scott looked out the window, and so did Rob.
"Shit. Cops." he said, then looked at me and Scott. "Looks like your mom blabbed. I think we all know what that means. Would you happen to know, Chrissy?" he asked sarcastically, ripping the tape of my mouth. I screamed loudly, out of pain. None of the police were coming in, and I was starting to freak a little. "Scott, help me untape your brother." Rob commanded. After a couple of minutes, I was considerably free-except the fact that Rob had handcuffed me and Scott's wrists together, and he was grabbing onto the back of our hair.
"Come out with your hands up!" a cop yelled through a megaphone.
"I got kids in here, and I will kill them!" Rob yelled. I shivered, not particularly happy about the idea of getting killed.
"Prove it!" the cop yelled back. Rob obliged. He unhooked Scott's wrist from mine, and pushed him out the door. He then locked it. Out the window, I saw Scott running towards our parents, and fall into their arms, crying all too hard. Tears streamed down my face as Rob handcuffed me and held a very sharp knife to my throat.
"Scream, do it now! Make it seem like I killed you!" Rob commanded, pushing the knife farther-luckily I didn't get cut and actually die. I screamed, and collapsed to the ground. Rob took out some fake blood, and poured it on my stomach. "New plan, act like I stabbed you in the side." he said, kicking me in the stomach. So I lay on the ground, sweating, crying, and fake bleeding. I actually was crying and sweating for real.

Rob didn't really plan his plan all that well. The cops busted in, and tazed Rob, and the arrested him. I bolted for the door, and flung myself at my family, gasping and crying. Scott grasped onto me, and didn't let go.

So after awhile, we decided to stay in Kettering-which was fine now that Rob was in Jail. Every detail of it was burnt into my memory, but I didn't like to talk about it.
