All of my friends are offline?

Postby SolidSnickerdoodle » Sun Jan 03, 2016 9:20 pm

So, I'e amassed a small collection of friends in the user control panel. I was told that after adding someone as a friend, I would know if they were online. I've had an account on here for over a month, and I have yet to see that. Every time I hover over a username, I get an "offline" notification. It doesn't seem very likely that I'm just missing every single one of these people, especially at like 7:00pm. Is something wrong here?
There is only one God, and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: Not today.

Given that this is an international forum, everyone's in a different time zone.
Another thing to consider is that during the weeks surrounding the holidays, the forum is usually quieter. People logon less often.

Finally, many users chose the option to appear invisible when they logon, meaning you won't be able to distinguish whether they're online or not.

If you wanna see who's online, you can just scroll to the bottom of the index page. You'll see who's online and what section of the forum they're browsing.

That's why there are also TUGgers from Europe (and perhaps from Africa as well) on these forums cheers . One or two hours of time difference is quite manageable, isn't it?
