Tied up in public

Postby zanev » Sat Oct 11, 2014 1:21 am

I'm planning a photo shoot in a few weeks with a model. She is going to be fully clothed but hands and feet bound. Done in a public area.

Has anyone have had trouble with law enforcement while doing public tie ups?
I close my eyes, Inis Mona
And reminisce of those palmy days
I moon o'er you, Inis Mona
As long as I breathe
I'll call you my home

You might, as a courtesy, inform the local police you are going to be doing a photo shoot with consenting adults, etc. So they know what to expect when they get a 911 call from a concerned citizen...
If you believe in yourself enough -
nobody else will figure out you're faking it.

911 what is your emergency?
There is a girl tied up in the woods and a guy is taking photos.

That's my biggest concern is police showing up with guns drawn. So I might give them a heads up as you suggested.

I guess it's not a company or an organisation? You may want to just explain to the local council or its equivalent. Or try to make it short.

Don't ask permission or get a politician involved! Just a simple FYI to the local police should be enough.

Good point, Tony2. The politician would have someone use a smart phone to video him running into the midst of the shoot, spraying you with mace, and then pummeling you to the ground while he rescued the DD.

Seriously, tho. Would it make sense to put a couple of poster signs in the ground advising:

"Shhh. Quiet, please. Private photo shoot in progress. THANK YOU!!"

I don't know bout America but I would suggest NEVER asking for permission. As has been said, just inform the local Plod.

A story: We needed to manoeuvre a processional giant from where we had left it earlier in a festival to the museum where it was due to be lodged. The "authorites" had already tuned down an application to process it again. No problem: we gathered a band and a couple of porters, collected the giant and started out. On the way, we explained the situation to a couple of local officers who were keeping an eye on things. The explanation included our need to take the giant (an effigy of the founder of the festival) very soon along certain very narrow roads. We had to take the chance. The response: oh, in that case, you'll need a police escort, won't you? Bloody wonderful!
Boxer shorts are cool,
but little speedos rule!

If it was a case of a drunk person assaulting you, verbally or physically, police is a must. Make sure you have witnesses ready to support you. If you don't want a lengthy trial, I think there are alternatives but it depends on the city/country.
