As long as it's clear that Christian Grey is an awful person and an abuser, not a dom, and 50 Shades is not indicative of the bondage lifestyle as a whole, this should be fine.

Haha right on, I feel like anything that bridges the waters is good (within reason), but make sure readers are aware that the affinity for being bound isn't something that manifests strictly through troubled childhoods and that not every tuger's home includes red rooms of pain.

I know next to nothing about how 50 Shades of Gray really is so I won't comment on that, but if nothing else, it helped some hardware stores get some business from women looking for some rope.
