Experiences telling people about TUG love!

I've always wondered what peoples experiences are with "coming out" to other people about our love or interest in tie up games. I'm interested in the correlation between age, relation, and sex with how people react when being told that the person has an interest in tie up games. In general i'm interested in how people react in the first place but i have a feeling there might be factors associated with how people react. I'm very interested in knowing other peoples experiences due to my own curiosity about letting people know about my interest and i guarantee many others on this board do as well. So lets try something!

Tell me about your experiences with telling people you are interested in tie up games! Indicate what your age was when you told the person, how old they were, what sex you and the other person are, and their relation (best friend, friend, acquantance, relative, etc) to you and a quick description on how they took it and if they've ever been willing to experience TUGs afterwords.

Personally, I've only told my ex-girlfriend when we were getting serious so i can't say i contribute much to my own little study seeing as how im sure girlfriends/boyfriends are by far the easiest to tell about our TUG love. Thanks for your contributions :) and feel free to describe as many people you told as possible, it'll help!

An interesting question, and I will try to answer to it with my experiences.

In my case, you need to consider two seperate "social circles":

I am an active member in the german BDSM scene, I even held some lessons about bondage techniques in the past. In this "circles" everyone knows I love ropes and I know how to handle them. Not everyone likes bondage, too; but they tolerate it and most apreciate it for it's aesthetic value.

A different case are the "other" people: most don't know about my bondage kink. And to be honest: it's not their buissines to know, either. I can perfectly live with *not* sharing my sexual and other preferences i.e. with my parents.
With some "normal" friends I have talked about the issue though; even if they were not into the kink, they showed some interest about it and didn't condem me.

Hope that helps you along a little...just keep in mind it's a german viewpoint, and (semingly) sexual issues here are viewed with more tolerance than in at least some other parts of the world (i.e. the two largest german cities have openly gay majors)

Cheers
