Gear and shared living.

I really wanna buy some proper fetish gear. However, anything I get would involve delivery, and I don't live alone. Any tips for getting stuff past a large household?

This might be wrong but I believe your country has a "post-office box" system. Could you take one and collect your deliveries? Failing that, could a friend provide an accommodation address? You never know, pick the right friend and . . . .

If you're in a college roommate/shared house situation, I would hope they would not open your packages. (If they do, can you really trust them not to go snooping in your stuff?) As long as you can trust them not to do that, you can check with the seller to make sure they don't put anything obvious on the outside of the package. If you're living at home, well, family can be nosier about "What was in that box?" even if they don't open it.

If the seller ships FedEx, you may be able to have the package held at a FedEx Office storefront at no charge to be picked up within five days. Check first with your nearby FedEx Office stores to make sure they offer this service (some don't). If they do, look for sellers who offer FedEx shipment and make sure they send you the FedEx tracking number in email. When you can get it, you can go on the FedEx website, look up the tracking number, and request Hold at Location for the package.

I have had UPS shipments addressed directly to one of their large customer service centers. These are not likely to be close to where you live and therefore likely to need a car to get to. I don't believe they offer this kind of service at the smaller UPS Stores if you don't rent a mailbox from them, but you can check. If you do have it sent UPS, the last time I did this they were not as good as FedEx about notifying you when the package arrives; you need to stay on top of the tracking number on the UPS website so you know when you need to go pick it up - otherwise it will be sent back! It's really a good idea to do this with FedEx as well, just to be safe.

I just flat out lie.
