Sensory Deprivation

Hi guys,

I'm sure this has been discussed many times but just looking for new fresh ideas on sensory deprivation.

I prefer to think of it as a kidnap then the prisoner can be restrained using sensory deprivation to keep them at bay.

So how best to keep a prisoner restrained and also suppress sight, sound, smell, touch and taste?

Mummification probably. Tape up the whole body, just leave the nose clear so they can breathe. Sight and sound are easy to remove. All the wrapping reduces touch. A clean wad in the mouth, and no food or drink, removes taste. Smell is the only problem as you cant block the nose.

I have to add that once the other senses are taken away, the victim starts to fully concentrate on the one sense that is left. So this means the victim will perceive smells more strongly. This can be used to your advantage if you want to torture your victim (e.g. smelly footwear, a cloth dipped in vinegar, farts, strong-smelling foods).

A The condition of being bound or tied; fig. subjection to authority, constraining force, or obligation. LME.

spec. Sadomasochism involving binding, handcuffing, etc. M20.

Great start to the thread and like the idea to heighten the smell
