Very nice site!

Yes, I wish Bondwriter/Nikcholas H would get the forum going again. There were more stories on there as well as those visible at present.

If I can help, let me know how. It's a shame to miss the stories and illustrations. I nolticed it was down when I tried to link someone to Stevie's art other than the stuff on DA.

I´m sad to see the site completely gone. The forum, and especially Stevies pics brought me a lot of joy.

But I think his pictures were already taken down a long time ago.

The pictures were still there and so were Cinched's.
Some nasty ****er on DA had found them and posted them as his own!

So no more Nicholas H.?! :(

I downloaded most of the pictures that were posted there, thank goodness. Wish I'd been able to do the same with the stories, but those wouldn't download.

But ya gotta know how to do it. First, go to the desired story, then select "EDIT." In the drop-down menu, choose "Select all," The story will be highlighted. Select "EDIT" again, and choose "COPY," then open up "Notepad" or other word processing program. When it comes up, position the cursor in the upper left, right click your mouse, and select "PASTE." The story will appear, and can then be saved.

Wish I'd thought to ask someone about this when the site in question still existed! Oh well. Live and learn.

bondwriter wrote:Hi there. The content is preciously backed up on my HD. Only issue is that the site was "hand-made", i.e. each page was a done on its own, and hence, if we wanted to upload it somewhere else, tons of links have to be edited, which could be time-consuming.
Best would be to upload it on the same server again; from there, it could be used as a repository for the best m/m stories.

As for Nicholas H., he's fine, though he is a very busy young man, and hence no longer has much time reading TUG stories.

Would be worth it for some of us though; those stories should be preserved!!! :geek:

We should have a section for salvage from that site.

We could start by inviting Drawscore gradually to submit his old stories ( the ones that he has not recently posted) but could we not use another category for the "old" stories as nothing seems to go into the "Hall of Fame"?
I have suggeted we need a similar place to lodge some of Sarobah's stories.

bondwriter wrote:My guess that it had been wiped out in some maintenance of the forum was right, and Zanev *praised be his name throughout the land* put it back up. Now is time to make a list of "best of" m/m stories in a format that makes long stories or extended sets of stories accessible. XTC, JT, Bondagefreak, Snobound, barefootethan, and many others. It requires people to proofread/ edit/ format so it doesn't take too long uploading stuff.

I can proof-read whatever you like. Haven't had the energy needed to write stories of my own lately, but proof-reading is no problem! :big:

I'm in line for proof reading too but, if the stuff has been found, is it still necessary?

It probably wouldn't hurt. Seems to me I can remember quite a few typos in some of those stories; particularly the long serials.

Drawscore sent me a PM earlier today:
While doing a Google search, I ran across this link: (here he gave me a link but it breaks when I copy it here)
As you can see, it comes from Nicholas' now defunct site, but somehow, some way, the link works. And, not only does the link work, the links within the link seem to be operational, as well. "Previous" and "Next" at the top of the page will take you to other stories.

The link he gave me works fine in my PM box but attempts to copy a working link here have failed. But this link copied directly from the site will do the job:
http://tugstories.tieupgames.net/storyindex.htm
Now people can access all the stories and most of the drawings from the old Tugstories Proboard.

Damn! The secret's out. People won't think I'm a cranky asshole any more. And I worked so hard at it, too. :-)

That's okay, DS. One good deed doesn't mean you're not a cranky asshole. And you still have plenty of opportunities to prove what a bad-ass you really are.

Regardless, one could have used the internet Way Back Machine...

That said, I have a question related to old TUGs stories. Some 5 or 6 years back, I remember reading a story (it was one of those serials). I can't remember if it was real or fiction or who wrote it. I just remember that the story premise was simple: bunch of 10-14 year olds (or so) were cleaning the house. When they finished, they were all hanging out together. One of the girls was wearing a bandana (to protect her hair), and one of the boys called her a gangster for it. She told him to stop, but he wouldn't, so they wound up with a full TUG war. I have tried several times since to find it but unsuccessfully. Anyone remember it?

Sounds like one of Tom Ford's stories. Might be a place to start.

I tried some of those, but not exhaustively. I have ways of searching for such things if they are still out there. I shall try your suggestion first!
