ZOMBIE RUN

Postby mistofoleese » Fri May 18, 2012 5:03 am

Good Friday Morning everyone !

I just learned of this myself about an hour ago A Friend of mine was telling me about it when I stopped in to get some OJ after my morning run. After looking over the site, I went ahead and registered as it looks like A LOT of fun. I know its farthest from tugs as you can get, but hey it look like its A LOT of fun!
Look at it this way, you come away with a GREAT workout! I figured what the Hell I'm already helping train a friend to run the US Air Force Marathon in September. Then in October heading out to MO to run the Mother Road Marathon if anyone is doing those Marathons shoot me a PM I'd Love to talk to ya. As for the Zombie run here is the website runforyourlives.com.
What I think is Highly cool is the train up routine they have set up to aid you in getting ready for the run
and well if your not a runner or dont feel up to it be a spectator and watch the fun.

As a Veteran of MANY Zombie walks the chance to do a Zombie 5K sounds like a LOT of Fun and since its held around the country There are many chances to enter! To all those Living outside the U.S., I am truly sorry I know it sucks! I'm guessing that your thinking WHY dont they have this sorta stuff AROUND HERE?!
I'd be willing to betcha a case of Gatorade they do you just have to look for it GOOD LUCK

Have a GREAT weekend everyone Clear Skies to what ever part of the planet you call home

Mistofoleese they have one in Idaho Falls too. The "survivors" usually get a huge workout.
From whence I came and whence I went heaven said I was too evil and sent me to hell. Demons and devils succeeded in breaking my soul.

Sarah,
as always my lovely damsel thanks for the Back up ! I must say the Zombie Crawl DOES indeed sound fun too as far as Chase Yeah buddy we've been talking about it most of the day. I'm pretty much in shape enough in shape to this myself ( though its ALWAYS better to train up for something).
My friends on the other hand most of all the one I'm helping to train for the Air Force Marathon He'd be an All you can eat Buffet.

I've been working with him since last July, his wife told me DO NOT Break my husband Hes had a bit of a problem with his achillies tendon and has had to set out a few weeks here an there HOW he's about to do in the Marathon is any ones guess IF he even makes it to the finish line.

So here's the question of the day folks - what would you rather do
Do the 26.2 ZOMBIE FREE MARATHON
Do the ZOMBIE 5K
Say OH HELL NO I AINT DOIN EITHER!

Depends on if I can dress up scary for it then I'll do the 5k Zombie marathon. I have the right mask right clothing and even the right voice effects too.

Well if you want to go that route Id say SURE GO FOR IT you can certainly register to be apart of the Zombie horde I personally think its great challenge to go through it to see if I could make it to the end.
I have gotten A LOT of PMs from people asking me all sorts of questions about this Dont get me wrong I LOVE getting the PMS and please do if you got a question BY ALL MEANS give me a shout
But as Ive told a few people already if you dont feel your up to this Id say sit this out this ISNT your average 5 K. by the looks of this you COULD get hurt if your not careful. Hell I could get hurt too if IM not careful i'm out running 5 miles day by my self and at least 3 times a week, with my friend depending on how he's feeling . We go at HIS pace We tried going at MY pace he lasted about half a mile then stopped That there ended up having him laid up for a while as I pushed him a bit too hard. Caught hell from his wife about it too!
To all the people who have been PMing me I say this keep up with your training once you stop its gonna be TWICE as hard to get started again Good luck to you ALL
