Blowing it's top...damn volcano...

Does anyone know someone who's stuck? I have several friends stuck in random countrys :L

Glassy ash has been settling on cars, if it does don't brush it off please, unless you want bits of glass in your hand/paintwork >.< (the paintwork of the car obviously :P)

But I must admit, it's all rather interesting! All the geographical interest in it, and also...NO PLANES! We live nearish a flight path, and it's almost silent! Good time to look for falling stars, when no pesky planes will trick you! xD

Haha at least you found the positive side to it.

I wonder if this will have any noticeable effects on the weather. i saw on the history channel once that a really big volcano erupted and threw so much ash into the air that there literally was no summer that year. It snowed in July and August and was freakin cold. So there's a glassy snow huh? Can we get pictures? XD If it's not too dangerous of course.

And congrats on moving to typing your formatting. That's the way cool ppl do it ^_^

Well, it's been "freakin cold" here in Hawaii during the past week, much more so than the average at this time of year. I wonder if it's connected, somehow? Though I'm sure the ash couldn't be circulating the globe that quickly...

I'll be praying you poor Europeans don't suffer too much from this event!

Yes I have many friends who are trapped in random places because they cannot get back due to the UK's aviation system being shut down and no planes are allowed to fly across Europe, I am not sure about other countries.
But yes this volcano is doing my head in, its costing the economy money, people are trapped in other countries, and people are facing financial worries over forking out for other alternative transport.
I have found ash on my mum's car for the last 3 days and the sunsets and sunrises have been phenomenal....
I just wonder how much longer it will last for.

Facebook groups seem to have boomed since this with many funny jokes made about the supermarket Iceland.... :D

about 20 something exchange students are stuck in italy and their flight was delayed until this thursday. That is awful for them, especially since they are almost broke now that they are about 3 days overdue from their flight.
