This is...Interesting, to say the least. You probably shouldn't be trying to tie up your cousin while he is asleep. Any games like that should be consensual, and nobody likes being disturbed while they are sleeping.

You make a good point Belowme. I believe that this is probably another good point to consider. I myself would be careful. Why I say this is because if I were to tie up a friend, I would be asking myself this question in my head first.

If I tried my friend up while he was sleeping and if something unexpectedly happened where we had to get out of the house quickly; while I might be able to get out alive, would my friend be able to? If my friend couldn't get untied would I be able to quickly untie my own knots and if I couldn't would I be able to pick up my tied friend and carry him out with me to safety? I'm not trying to burst anyone's bubble here but unfortunately this thought may not occur to people until its to late.

If my friend asked me to tie him up that to me is fine because he wants to do it. If he really wants me to tie him up over night. I would consider theses things First before agreeing. 1. I would pick him up normally and see if I can carry him though the house in the event of the unexpected. 2. I would discuss with him the escape routes. 3. I would tell him that after I tie him up, I will be picking him up and carrying him though the house to the door to make sure I can get him out safety if I need to. *To me the reason you should pick them up and carry them before and after is because depending on how they are tied can sometimes determine weather you can lift them. The extra weight can make big differences too. Let make explain.

For example, lets say there wanted you to tie there feet, ankles, kneels, and hands or tie their hands while having them pinned to the chest. Depending on the weight of the materials (rope, tape, etc) used that adds extra weight to the him and therefor you should see if you can handle that extra weight. **I consider this part mandatory safety. If he wants you to do something similar to hogtying him where he can't use his hands or feet to walk or crawl; I would have no problems doing it during the day since both him and I are awake.

If he wanted me to hogtie him for the night, I would try to see if I could do something else. *****If he is really dead set for it and goes ahead and starts doing it himself; I would probably help him so he didn't injure himself but I would make it clear to him that if anything unexpected happened I would be carrying him out. This would be non-negotiable. Why is because basically while he is hogtied, you could say that he made you responsible for his safety now that he can't use his feet or hands at all even though this was not your idea at all.

4. Maybe tell your parents so that if they have to help you they will not be surprised to see your friend tied up. Who knows your parents might be perfectly fine with it as long as you tell them.
5. Have something sharp that you can use in case you need it but be very careful not to cut yourself.
Feel free to add in. Just be safe. This is the point of it.

Original post was in 2012, when your friend was 10. So, I guess you guys may be 13 or 14 now. Hopefully you have had many opportunities to have fun with TUGS during that time.
