Distraction (with a twist)

I really do love my girlfriend, I promise! It’s just that she really gets on my nerves, sometimes! Like the other day, for instance. I was trying to study for this really important test, when she decides she was bored. I first noticed the fact, when a piece of string landed across the page of the book I was reading. When I looked up, I saw her standing there; wearing a dress, she had made herself from thick, black velvet, with embroidered flowers all over. It went all the way to the floor, and had long sleeves and a high, stiff collar. From the waist up, it was tight-fitting, but the skirt-part had several petticoats and was bell-shaped. I knew she was wearing a corset. She always does, when she’s wearing a dress. And she’s nearly always wearing one. Either one she’s bought or one she’s made herself. She’s an excellent dressmaker, I’ll give her that. It’s not much in her wardrobe, she hasn’t made herself. She’s even made several pieces of clothes for me.
“Cut it out, will you?” I asked, annoyed. “I’m trying to study, in case you hadn’t noticed. Why don’t you go and find something else to do?”
“Don’t want to. This is much funnier,” she said, sounding like a five-year-old girl. I rolled my eyes and sighed but started reading again. Soon the string landed on the book again. I tried to ignore it, even though her giggles got on my nerves. When it happened for a fifth time in fifteen minutes (I’ve got patience by the bucket-load, don’t you think?), I finally lost it. I grabbed one of her arms, dragged her over to a wooden chair with a straight back and put her in it.

From a nearby sideboard, I took out a long piece of rope. Standing behind her, I gathered both her hands in my hand, wound the rope several times around them, both horizontally and from side to side, threading the ends of it through the bars of the chair, tying it off in front of her. Then I went back to studying. It wasn’t long before she managed to annoy me in a new way, though. She’s a skilful whistler, and now she started whistling. Not loudly, just enough to make it a nuisance. At one point, it sounded as if I had stuck my head in to a beehive. Without uttering a word, I stood up, went over to her, took a rather large, and slightly dirty napkin and stuffed it in her mouth, Then, I took another one and tied it between her teeth and around her head, trapping the first one in he mouth. Just for the hell of it, I wound a couple of bandages around her head as well. Thus thoroughly silenced, she could only glower at me and I could get some peace and quiet to study. Or so I thought, anyway.

Halfway through a very difficult chapter, she started kicking her heels against the legs of the chair. As the shoes she wore had metal-heels, the sound was no less annoying, than the whistling had been.
Muttering no kind words, I went over to her yet again, took out two more pieces of rope from the sideboard. I knelt down in front if her, lifted up her skirt and petticoats a bit, and tied her legs separately to the legs of the chair.

“You were bored, you say? Well then; let’s see how long it takes you to get out of that chair, shall we?” She nodded and immediately started squirming to get free.
“Oh no, you don’t,” I said and held up my index-finger, in front of her nose. “You wait patiently till I’m back in my chair, before you start. There’s no time-limit as such, but if you’re not out of that chair by the time I’m done studying, I’m gonna leave you here.”

I started strolling around the room, taking my time getting back. Eventually I did, though, and told her to start. An hour or so later I closed my books and leaned back. “Ahh!” I sighed. “I’m all done. How about you?” I had been so pre occupied studying I hadn’t noticed she had gone silent, the last few minutes. Suddenly, a rope was tied around me from behind, pinning me to the chair. A soggy napkin was shoved in my mouth and bandages tied around my head. I heard a familiar voice saying: “Now it’s your turn. I got out in under an hour. Let’s see if you can beat that.”
Whazzzz up!.

Nice to hear from you again. Strange, this story seems to be set in our world!
Once again, you prove that you are the master of the vignette.
Boxer shorts are cool,
but little speedos rule!
