The movie was anaunced a while back of course but i think this is a new trailer. Some familiar faces seem to be returning.

Also...the dwarves seem kinda tall for dwarves 8)

About time. They were talking about it when the Lord of the Rings trilogy was still in the theaters. Be interesting to see what 'improvements' they made to the book. Hopefully Sauron gets more than a mere mention in this one (he wasn't even referred to as Sauron in the book; just as a necromancer).
Interesting look for the dwarves though - they remind me of the Star Trek Next Generations' version of Klingons!!!

Well Sauron wasn't really the focus of the story anyway. Sauruman is said to appear though....well maybe, his actor is already in his 90's i believe he might just die on sett. I think his parts will be cutt if that happends which will be a shame.

Well, Saruman wasn't in the book The Hobbit at all even as a mention, so if HE can appear why not give Sauron (who WAS mentioned, if not by name) a role too?

Because unlike Sauruman, Sauron doesn't have an awesome actor :big:

But in The Hobbit, he can be played by a human.
Sure, that'd violate the book a bit but not much, and Peter Jackson IS the director. :D
Dollars to euros we'll see that flaming eye at some point late in the second movie!!!
