next call of duty

so i noticed that there is some other gamers around here too, not just me.
and if you are you probably have seen the trailer for COD: Black Ops 2.

what do you think about it? will it be a great game or is Activision milking the franchise until it stops selling just like they did with Guitar Hero.

personally i don't know what to think about this game. i got the first black ops and a few others COD games, and i think they are good games but a little overrated.
then again when it comes to shooting games I'm more into the stealth games like Metal Gear Solid. i also like if the game has a story that is worth following, and not just "here's a gun, now go and shoot those mothaf§#$% in the %$#&ing head".

I personally don't think it will be good. First, I'm pretty sure Alex mason isn't in it. And there adding veicles to compete with battlefield but are making up things like mechs and other future things. I think COD should stay modern and not try to go to the future

I think I would have to agree, I don't think call of duty black ops 2 will be the best game... Like you have to keep in mind that some things will already be predictable like the game mechanics and the plot itself is gonna be war-related... However it still will probably do good in terms of sales since nowadays whenever a good game is made, sequels almost always follows... Still, hard to judge really until the game is played so lets see what they do 8) .

so true. as a gamer I've learned to not judge a game by first impression.
battlefield 3 for an instance seemed really impressive the first time because of the huge graphics. but the game-reviewers turned out to be really disappointed at the end. mostly because of the campaign.
then again you might get the opposite too. for an instance, i never had any interest in GTA. i thought it was a boring and meaningless game. GTA3, San Andreas, Vice City... they all seemed to be just about hijacking a car and killing people without any reason.
and when GTA 4 arrived i thought it would be just like the 3rd game but with better graphics.
then i tried it at a friend of me.
i was wrong.
it was much better than any other GTA game i ever played. now i have it my self and it's one of the best games i got for my PS3.

Yes, the whole hype around games usually gives you a worse experiance then expected while the things you buy on a whim turn out to be greater then you ever thought.

so true. I'm gonna be honest and admit that the best first person shooter i ever played is probably the most underrated game that have been on the market.

Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway.

sure, the graphics in this game is not at the same level as the COD games. but the gameplay works really well, and you actually have to think tactical all the way as you have to give commands to your fellow soldiers as well.
and the story... holy diver what a story the game has, i'ts so unique.

my favorite first person shooter is Far Cry 2 it's not even a war game and almost no one has every heard of it. It's more survival, has a open world things I like in games
