Too Risky!

Postby Gemscot » Sat Apr 03, 2010 1:26 pm

My brothers and I don't use gags at all in our TUGs because they are too dangerous.

1 - Too much risk of choking.

2 - The captive can't tell you if the restraints are too tight or hurting.

There is a way to communicate when you're gagged. It's by grunting.
1. means you're OK.
2. Means somethings wrong.
3. means ungag and/or untie me; an emergency.

If they give you two grunts you can start asking questions or simply remove the gag. If they want to keep the gag in then ask them questions like, can you breath ok? or rope too tight? etc.

It works.

I want to ask you something Gemscot. Did something happen that you're so fanatically anti-gags lately, claiming in any relevant conversation that they're as dangerous as juggling chainsaws. Some time ago I think you had a similar campaign against tree ties because of what happened to Tyler (RIP), so I'm just wondering what brought this on.

I am wondering the same as well! Gags yes can be dangerous, but only if you leave the captive unattended.. if the captive is in perfect visual site of you, you can see signs straight of distress straight away, if a captive is found to be in pain, and cannot be seen externally, then the captive is likely to tell you, threw screaming into the gag, or struggling violently!

I can see your point about gags being dangerous! But if you are in the same room as the captive. Then a gag will be fine.. If you are however going to leave the room, I recommend you ungag them! Though not everyone will.... its just personal choice more than anything

We've NEVER used gags - as shown in our stories.

Tying up (even really tight) is quite safe - choking isn't!

My brother and I are both members of the St John Ambulance Brigade, as as such trained first aiders. We're well equipped to deal with any minor accidents such as ropes being accidentally tied too tight, and we know how to do CPR.

I'd defend gags in the right situation. Even cosmetic gags are great, most don't really stay on well or interfere with speech, but they look cute, and won't choke your captive.
Whips and chains may break my bones, but ropes and gags excite me!
