Fictional TUG section

Postby chadmc90 » Sun Aug 10, 2014 3:05 pm

Hey admins,

I've been thinking about this for a while. I should of brought this up before the update, but wouldn't it be convenient to divide the Fictional TUGs section into M/M, M/F, F/M, and F/F like you guys have the true sections? If anything, I believe THAT section needs it more than the true since it seems to be more popular(judging by number of topics and posts). I'm not saying you have to go through and add all the current fictional stories into their proper section, but I think it would help better organize that part of the board.

Thanks for the idea. Just did it, and the intimate section.

^I noticed. I like how you did that. It makes finding the kind of stories I want to read more convenient. Though it'd be nice if you did it for fictional intimate TUGs too.

Can I suggest one more subsection for the story sections? Some stories simply dont follow a patten of gender specific tie ups. Some have both M/F and F/M tie ups, so where do you guys categorize something like that? Perhaps a "Variation" or "Other" section would be helpful for stories that dont fit, such as my Tales of Ghost and Ropes story.

There is still the "general", unspecified section. Just post there without specifying one of the more specialised sections.

I dont really get the lables although I'll follow them. So will those who want M/M bondage only read such stories and nothing else? Will such labels draw specific readers to specific stories?

There are advantages and disadvantages but, if you use "View new posts" when you log on, you will still be offered the lot.

Yes, thats the entire point. If someone ONLY is into m/m tie ups this system will allow them to read stories with out having to dig through a ton of them searching for m/m

I think not many people scroll down to the PG-17 section.

Although I agree that the PG-17 sections don't get much attention, it's not something we can help. Some people just don't like to read those kinds of stories. Although another possible reason is that people might be hesitate to post in such a section. Some simply dont feel comfortable doing so. That resulting lack of feedback has deswayed writers from writing PG-17 stories. At least thats my opinion, anyway.

I still think it's the scrolling down. People's eyes would catch the front section which are the fiction/non-fiction TUGS with no adult stuff. In any case, PG-17 doesnt really contain much gory or sexual material.

I want to give our users more credit and assume they are not all lazy to scroll down and use a message board.

My thoughts exactly. Some people simply are not into PG-17 stuff. I highly doubt moving the PG-17 section to the top will increase activity for that section.

It is at the bottom because this is not a porn site. I added the feature because I found canuck when I was 13, I am 27 now and my youth tie up days are done. So I figure a lot of people are in the same boat and wanted to give them a section. This site is still about youth tie ups, so I positioned the board accordingly. Every section is put in its place for a reason, the reason of how viewable I want it to be. Stories at top, general chit chat and debates in the middle, past stories and adult stuff at the bottom. So at the very least people know we do regular tie up stories.

I don't think I agree that moving that to the bottom keeps it from being considered a porn site. The fact that it is on the main page and is just as accessible as the rest of the sections is enough to consider it being that. Sorry, but that's my opinion....

Anyway, about that section, could you consider also adding the subsections to it? I know you opted not to but I believe the section is becoming more...popular, and is starting to suffer from the same things as the others that were previously unorganized. I know it would be a hassle to organize all those stories, and I will understand if you don't want to worry it.
