I was pretty terrible with it when I was little, but I fly so much that I'd gotten over it by the time I was 8. The best way to get over it is just by doing it. If you're gonna fly again, get to the airport early, and use general stress-relief techniques while you're there (deep breathing, etc.). On the plane, chew gum whenever you feel pressure in your inner ear, as this will help relieve it. If you feel sick, GRAB THE BARF BAG FIRST, then look out the window. Motion sickness is usually caused by feeling yourself moving without any visual reference, so looking at the clouds rushing past will help. Oh, big tip: GO TO THE BATHROOM AS CLOSE TO BOARDING TIME AS POSSIBLE! Airplane bathrooms are hideously claustrophobic and often smelly, and don't get me started on what happens if you hit turbulence while you're in there...
I didn't choose the TUG life, the TUG life chose me.
