Over the Line (Warning, Christian questions)

Postby AlexUSA » Sun Dec 08, 2013 8:46 pm

Obviously, for Christians pornography isn't an option in bondage, meaning the viewing of bondage pics and vids really is a no-no, particularly when done for sexual stimulation.

Question, I know I have crossed the threshold when I indisputably orgasmed to bondage porn. But how do I get myself to that point where I can write little non-sexual stories (like the Nixon family) or man-wife-without-the-sex stories (like Dan Cookman) without being tempted to go into the porn viewing, as I did tonight? I don't want the porn at all. In fact, I have failed to get a girl to be my gf for over a month now because of how awkward the porn makes me.

Thanks!

You are stating your own opinions as fact. All Christians....sure.

IMHO you need to accept sexuality as a normal part of life...after all, without sexuality you wouldnt be here to begin with.

Sounds like there isn't some sort of magic bullet to solve your problem. If you want to stay true to what you believe you shouldn't be doing, then all there is to exercise your willpower, unless I'm missing some crucial part of the dilemma.

If you absolutely cannot do one without the other, you may need to step back from writing it for a little while. If you can fill in the space you'd look at bondage porn by doing something else instead that would be a good way to solve the issue.

There are stories here, and on other sites, which feature bondage, but which stay well away from sexual content, or even overtones. Perhaps it would be helpful to read some of them. Also, remember that bondage, in and of itself, is not pornography. If it was, there would not be any movies or TV shows in which one (or more) of the actors got tied up.

You're concerned about sinning--but I'm not sure you are if the 'porn' you're looking at is of (I'm guessing ) a woman tied up who isn't nude. In other words, dressed and tied in an image like you might find on a network TV show.

As for writing, as others have said, of course you can write stories in which someone is tied up for non-sexual reasons (at least, as far as the story goes). I've rad fan-fiction on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" in which Giles, Buffy's mentor, had her tied up in different positions for escape tests. That was a little hokey, but it fit with the dry humor of the show, and worked (I thought).

The simplest solution of all is of course to give up Christianity (not that you're evidently likely to, but I thought I'd just throw that out there).
I did; more because of all the ignorant anti-science rhetoric i kept hearing so-called christians spout, their evident and prevalent hyposcrisy between what they said are sins and what they actually do, and the whole improbability of the micro-managing, mysteriously-ignorant-of-human-pschology-for-a-diety-who-made-people-in-His-own-image God of the Bible existing-and-being-interventionist-way-back-when-but-totally-silent-for-almost-2000-years thing than because of things like 'is-porn-wrong?'
Porn is just a tool; one often misused but still just a tool, just like masturbation (which the Bible condemns btw). Moreover, not only does the Bible makes NO condemnation of porn, it even contains porn. Did you ever read the Song of Solomon?Ii did... at age 12! Made MY eyes pop, let me tell you!!! Racier than anything I ever read or saw in Playboy, let me tell you!
Porn is only as bad as you make it out to be; particularly if you're single. It may be different if you're married, but i never was so I can't say. And you're not married either, so what's the big deal?
Dare to be different... and make a difference.
