The boats that went close to Gaza

Yet again the nuke comes late with news that are almost done with.
Well, if this thing is made into even half as big a deal as it is made here, you probably know what I'm talking about.

Some European people thought it to be a great idea to try and breach the blockade on Gaza with 6 ships. The Israeli navy took over the ships and brought them to an Israeli seaport. On one of the ships, this didn't go so well, with deaths and injuries being inflicted by both sides. What makes this different from the odd protest being broken by local law enforcement is that, well, the protest was coming with supplies, under a humanitarian aid flag, which lead to some mandatory controversy about the Israeli move.

Well, introduction paragraph done, time for me to drop my (bad) neutrality act and state my opinion. What do I think? I think that the flotilla's main goal was media buzz. I won't humor theories about them smuggling weapons. Even if they find a missile launcher there it would be excused as either self defense or to aid the Gaza police, and I don't think they found amounts weapons yet anyway. If all they're carrying really is just aid and that was their goal, why not unload it in an Israeli port and let it be trucked there? Did they have any over the top off-ship delivery in mind?
But that's just one basic and rather logical point: Every country has the right to regulate ships going through their territorial water, wherever they claim they're going. It's just like breaching airspace, but at sea. Whatever instigated the confrontation between the soldiers and... boat guys, I know one thing for sure from the videos I saw: both sides were attacking and the Israeli soldiers weren't just spraying the place with bullets randomly. When you're in a country's territory you can't be attacking their law enforcers unless you're trying to start a war or something.

So yeah, big surprise, I'm siding with my homeland. But honestly, if you look at this from a purely logical pov, this is all just another arab publicity stunt. I can understand countries being upset for their hurt citizens, but how can you condemn a country for upholding their local authority? If an Al-Qaida operative has a European citizenship, will his country condemn the US when he assists organizing a local terrorist cell?

Actually, no need to go biblical for an Israeli loss, as most would consider the "second Lebanon war" a loss for Israel (Even if technically it wouldn't fit cuz we a.. Oh f**k details!). But I really don't want to digress here. The incident itself I don't really have a problem with. Arab organizations love to provoke the media and there are bound to be people hurt when there's military intervention. What annoys me time and time again is Europe, always condemning Israel for the way it handles the "Arab problem" (not to mention while they themselves pass anti-Muslim laws...)

What I really hate is that people say Muslim they automatically associate that religion with terrorism, when Islam is actually quite a peaceful religion but it is not perfect (no religion is perfect but some are trying to teach peace while being very hypocritical) . The extremists on the other hand must be dealt with, and they should you don't create change by spreading fear and panic.

My thoughts is that the flotillas should not have attempted it, they obviously knew what was going to happen but they wanted the hype and buzz to draw support to their side.

I didn't mean it like that, of course. Most all religions are in favor of peace and preach that murder is wrong. I just find it a rather 2-faced approach, where on one hand a country denies its Muslim population religious freedom, but continuously call what's going on in Gaza a racist manslaughter. I really don't know if the Muslims should be offended by these countries practically saying "You're great people, it's just that the sight of you revolts me" or the Israelis because every little act of defense they takes gets scolded so haphazardly...
Sometimes I wonder what if the situation was exactly reversed. If the Israel was called "Palestine" and Gaza was inhabited by Zionists led by a terrorism group. Would the world still choose the same sides when similar boats came from America, proving they just like to stand by the smaller side in wars like this, or will they side with the "occupying" country, making them just racist...
Ellipsis...

The Israelis have full rights to form a blockade. Some people are afraid that the ships may be bringing weapons or other things to the people of gaza. As long as people are not dying like this all the time, it is perfectly fine, and I am not just saying that because I am jewish.

The people in gaza are lead by terrorists, and if those terrorists are heavily armed, than it would mean more deaths than are going on now.

Okay, before I link you to this next video I must say this:
It's comedy.
Satire.
An exaggeration of an opinion,

Sunk in?

Well, I think it's funny (and on-topic!), so there you have it:
