Nancy & the Murder Mystery Weekend

Postby Tieup1 » Sat Mar 29, 2014 9:57 am

Nancy was getting excited, it was almost time for her to leave, and go on a Murder Mystery Weekend. It was going to be held at a local country hotel, they held them about every 3 months. A couple of her friends had been on them, and had really enjoyed themselves.

Her bag was packed, and she was ready to go, she sat in the kitchen with her mother just chatting, when she heard a car horn. She raced to the window, and there outside was her lift, waiting to take her. She and her mother went outside. Nancy's mother talked to the driver, it was Mrs. Carter, who was a good friend of hers. Nancy put her bag in the trunk, and then jumped into the back seat. There were two other girls in the car, both were Mrs. Carter's daughters, Melissa and Carly, they were long time friends of Nancy. They soon started chatting away, they were all excited to be going away for the weekend.

Nancy's mother waved them all goodbye, and the car set off. The hotel was not too far out of town, about 6 miles. When they arrived, Mrs. Carter dropped the girls off, wishing them a good time.

Nancy and her companions then entered the hotel to check in, they were given a room altogether, which overlooked the hotel gardens.

They were told by the receptionist that they had to be in the Dining Room prompt at 4 p.m.

The girls unpacked some of their stuff, then headed downstairs..................................................................

At 4 p.m. prompt, Nancy, her two friends, and the other guests were assembled in the Dining Room. One of the hotel staff explained to them, that a crime had been committed, and that they were to proceed to the Library.

They all went there, a body lay on the floor, it was a man, he had a nasty head wound. It was explained to Nancy, and the other guests, that they had to find out who killed this person, and why.

They were told there were several suspects who they could question, Nancy was in her element, and she and her two friends went about finding the suspects.

They went out into the hotel garden, where they found a young woman, she said her name was Eleanor. Nancy asked her several questions, she said she was the dead mans girlfriend, and that they were due to be married.

She also said that she knew no reason , as to why anyone would want to kill him.

Nancy, Melissa, and Carly decided to split up, so that they could question all the so called suspects quicker.

Nancy entered the kitchen, a couple of people were working in there, she walked past them, as she heard voices up ahead.
Although the door was shut, at the back of the kitchen, Nancy heard part of a conversation, it was a man and a woman, they seemed to be arguing. Nancy tried to hear as much as she could.

Melissa then came running in, ''Whats up'' squealed Nancy.

'You know that woman we questioned earlier, the dead mans girlfriend, well ! she's gone missing''. said an excited Melissa.

After what Nancy had heard through the door, and Melissa's information, Nancy was getting some idea, as to who was responsible.

She and Melissa, then went to find Carly.

Meanwhile, the unfortunate Eleanor, was lying in a cold cellar, her hands, feet, and legs were bound tightly with rope, and she had two hankerchiefs, tied around her cute mouth.....................................................................

After finding Carly, the three girls returned to the scene of the crime, in the library. The body had been moved, much to Nancy's annoyance.

Then a man came in, he said he was a detective, who was on the case. Nancy asked him if he had any clues, as to who the murderer was, and where the missing Eleanor was.

''Not yet'' he explained, but the enquiry has a long way to go yet''.

''I have a few ideas'' said Nancy, ''But, I need a few more answers yet''.

The detective looked at Nancy, he said, ''If you get close to solving this case, let me know, it could be dangerous''.

Nancy nodded, and she and her friends left.

The three girls chatted amongst themselves, trying to work out what to do next.

It was agreed that they should split up again, Carly would go and question, some of the hotel staff, Melissa would try to find out who moved the body, and Nancy would try to find Eleanor.

Melissa wondered aroud the hotel, looking and listening, she came to the Wine Cellar door, she tried it, and luckily, it was open.

She went down the winding steps, down into the cellar. It was dimly lit, but not far up ahead of her, she saw a figure on the floor. As she got closer, she saw it was the bound and gagged Eleanor.

Before she had a chance to speak, or move , she was grabbed from behind, a mans hand clamped tightly over her mouth. She was then dragged into the corner of the cellar.

There awas a woman stood there. The man holding Melissa shouted at the woman, ''i thought I told you to lock the Cellar door at all times, now we have to deal with this snooping girl''.

The woman muttered something, then grabbed some rope, Melissa's hands were bound behind her back, her ankles were tied to, then she was put on the floor, and tightly hog-tied.

The woman then tied a knotted cloth tightly around Melissa's mouth.

''Ther'e' said the woman, ''That should keep her out of trouble''.

The man and the woman then left the cellar. Meilssa heard them lock the door on their way out.

Melissa looked up, she could see Eleanor lying tied and helpless, not far from her, she tried to wriggle closer to her, mumbling through her gag, as she did.

Meanwhile Nancy had gone outside, she saw two people arguing, in the garden, she crept up behind them, to listen to what they were saying...................................................................

From where Nancy was hiding, she could hear the conversation, the man and the woman were having. They spoke about moving the body that night, and dealing with Eleanor, and that other snooping girl. After she heard what they had said, Nancy ran back into the hotel. She phoned Carly, who was in the kitchen, questioning hotel staff, she told Carly to meet her in their room. Nancy then phoned Melissa, but got no answer, Nancy put 2 +2 together, and guessed that Melissa had been captured.

Back in the Wine Cellar, Melissa had managed to wriggle up close to Eleanor, but although the girls tried their hardest, they could not help untie each other. Melissa let out a big sigh through her gag.

Meanwhile up in their room, Nancy and Carly were making plans. Nancy told Carly what she had overheard. Her plan was that she would follow the woman she had heard talking, and with a bit of luck, she would lead her to the body. Carly was to alert the detaective, as to what was going on.

The girls then set about their tasks........................................................

Nancy kept a close watch on the woman she was following, she followed her for some time. Eventually the woman went out to the old Stables, Nancy kept her distance, and watched the woman enter. A few minutes later the woman came back out, and returned to the hotel. Nancy was caught in two minds, as what to do, should she continue to follow the woman, or check out the stables.

Nancy's curiousity got the better of her, and as soon as the woman was out of site, she entered the Stables. Nancy had a good look around, seems like the Stables were just used for storing old stuff. there were some old telephones, and typewriters, and some old furniture in there.

Then her attention was drawn to a wooden crate, Nancy went towards it, and carefully lifted the lid. Then she jumped back, and let out a little scream. Inside the crate was the mans body, from the library. Nancy gathered herself together, she checked his pulse, there was nothing, he was stone cold, no sign of life at all. Nancy had stumbled across a real murder. She quickly pulled out her phone and rang Carly.

She told Carly she had found the body, and that the man was really dead.

Carly said she would find the detective, and tell him. Nancy told Carly to bring the detective to the Stables, and she would wait for them there.

No sooner had she put her phone away, Nancy could smell something strange.

Before she knew what was going on, a cloth was placed over her nose and mouth.

Nancy struggled and kicked out. as she realised she was being chloroformed.

Whoever had got hold of Nancy was holding her real tight, and quickly the chloroform did the trick, and Nancy slumped to the floor.................................................................................................

When Nancy came around, she found herself, still in the Stables, but now she was sat in an old armchair. Her ankles and legs were bound tightly together with rope, her wrists were bound together too, again with rope. Her hands were in front of her, but due to to more ropes around her arms, elbows, and legs, she was unable to move them. A cloth had been pushed inside her mouth, and had been secured by a knotted bandana. She struggled to get free, but alas her attempts were futile.

Then a voice spoke to her, ''Don't try to get free, you will only hurt yourself''

Nancy looked up, it was the man, who said he was a detective.

Mmmmmmppppppphhhhhh ! moaned Nancy.

The man laughed, and said, ''Oh I forgot to tell you, I'm not a real detective, I'm just an actor''.

Nancy was furious with herself for not realising this, and began to struggle again, much to the man's amusement.

Then a woman came in, it was the woman Nancy had been following.

''Is she giving you any trouble'' she asked the man.

''No not at all'' laughed the man, ''In fact I find her quite cute, its a pity we will have to dispose of her later''.

The man and the woman then left the Stables, locking the door behind them.

Nancy knew that Carly would ask the (fake) detective for help, which would put her in danger too. Somehow, she had to get free and warn her..............................................

Back at the hotel, Carly had been asking the staff some questions. She was also worried about Nancy, as she had not seen her for a while. Carly was wandering around, when she came upon the Wine Cellar, she tried the door, but it was locked, she gave out a sigh. As she did, one of the hotel cooks walked past. ''Strange'' muttered the cook, ''That door is usually open in the daytime''. ''Wait here a minute'' she said to Carly.

Carly leaned against the cellar door and waited, a few moments later, the cook returned. ''Here'' she said to Carly, handing her a key, ''Make sure you return it to me, when you've finished''.

Carly nodded, and was soon opening the cellar door, she went down the steps, and inside.
She heard a moaning in the distance, she put on a light, and there was Melissa, and Eleanor still trussed up, struggling to get free. Carly wasted no time in untying them. Eleanor told them, that the man who was murdered, was about to come into a lot of money, probably several million dollars.

They ran out of the cellar, Melissa took Eleanor up to her room, while Carly returned the key.

As Carly was making her way to the room, she caught a glimpse of the detective. He was with the woman, Nancy had gone to follow. Carly quickly crouched down so that couldn't see her, as they walked past, she heard the man say, that they would be leaving tonight.

Carly ran up to meet with the other two, she told them waht she had heard. Eleanor told them , he was not a real detective, and was in on the murder.

Melissa and Carly told Eleanor to stay out of sight in the room, while they went to find Nancy, they also told her to phone the Police, and tell them what was going on.

Back in the Stables Nancy was still tied hard and fast, her gag was cutting into her mouth, making her feel even more uncomfortable.
Then the door opened, two burly men came in, they picked up the crate the dead body was in, and carried it outside, to a waiting truck, then she heard it speed off.

As she struggled some more, the fake detective, and his woman companion came in.

''We'd better deal with this bitch first'' said the woman, ''Then we'll get those other two out of the cellar''.

They untied Nancy from the armchair, then they bound her wrists and arms behind her back, and bound her ankles together, all with rope.

Nancy let out a small grunt, as the man lifted her over his shoulder, and carried her outside.

Without ceremony, she was shoved in the back of a van, and the door was slammed behind her.......................................................................................

Carly and Melissa headed for the Stables, to search for Nancy. When they got there, the girls could find no sign of her, although, they found some discarded rope, that was left lying on the armchair. They went around to the side of the Stables, where they saw the van.

Nancy heard their voices, and despite being bound and gagged, somehow managed to use her feet to bang on the side of the van. The girls heard the banging, Carly tried the doors, but they were locked. Melissa peered through a window, and she could just see Nancy, who was frantically struggling.

Carly found an iron bar, she was just about to smash the window, when, the fake detective, and his female accomplice came into view. The girls had no option, but to hide, quickly they ducked down behind some water troughs. Crouching there, they heard everything, the woman was very angry, that the captives in the cellar, had got free, especially that Eleanor bitch, as the woman called her. The man told her to shut up, and get in the van, which then sped off.

Melissa and Carly were devastated, how could they save Nancy now ?

They went back into the Stables, to search for any clues.

As they were desperately looking around, Eleanor came in. ''I thought I told you to stay in the Hotel room'' Carly hissed.

Eleanor's mood had changed, ''Shut up bitch, I need to get my hands on that money''.

Realising Eleanor was in on it, Melissa and Carly grabbed hold of Eleanor, using the rope that was left lying around, they bound her wrists tightly behind her back, then tied her legs and ankles.

Melissa then pushed Eleanor onto the armchair. Carly began to phone the police, Eleanor begged to be untied, but Melissa, just grabbed hold of Eleanor's throat, and told her to tell the truth.

Meanwhile, the van was heading down an old dirt track, poor Nancy was having a rough ride, she was being thrown around in the back of the van as it went along. The woman looked around at her, With a laugh, she said, ''Don't worry bitch, it will all be over soon for you''.

Nancy let out a grunt through her gag, and continued to struggle. Then the van pulled over , and stopped, Nancy lay there, then heard the doors being unlocked...................................................

As the van doors opened, Nancy glanced up. She saw the man and the woman standing there. the woman had a evil grin on her face. Nancy moaned through her gag, as the man picked her up, and put her over his shoulder. She was then carried into an old mineshaft.

Meanwhile back at the Stables, the Police had arrived, and they were questioning Eleanor.
She told them that she had been in on the murder, as the man was about to inherit a fortune. She also told the Police her two accomplices, had double crossed her.

''Never mind all of that'' screamed Melissa, ''Where have thay taken Nancy'' ?

''Probably the old mineshaft'' muttered Eleanor.

''There's loads of them around here'' said the Police Officer.

Eleanor then told them, she thought it was the one nearest the river.

The Police Officer then got a message on his radio, he was told that the two thugs who were disposing of the body, had been caught, by the Highway Patrol. Apparently they had been driving in a dangerous manner, had been stopped, and the corpse was discovered.

''What about Nancy'' squealed Carly. ''Don't worry, I'll have a Police Helicopter here in 5 minutes'' said the Police Officer.

Meanwhile back at the mine shaft, the man was giving Nancy a drink of water.
''Thanks for that'' said Nancy, ''My mouth was getting really dry''.

''You're to soft with her'' growled the woman, 'Leave her to me''.

She grabbed hold of Nancy, and dragged her over to one of the mineshaft props. She sat her in front of it. Then with a long length of rope, set about binding her to it. The rope was wound very tightly around Nancy's legs, then up and around her waist and then wound tightly around her chest, securing her firmly to the prop.

''You wont get away with this'' squealed Nancy, ''My friends will soon be here''

The woman laughed, ''This is'nt the movies, bitch'' and laughed again.

Seeing as we are miles from anybody, I don't have to gag you'' said the woman, '' But you are such a smart ass bitch, I will''.

She then went to her bag, and pulled out a roll of black duct tape.

She wound it around Nancy's mouth, and head several times, each time she went around, Nancy gave out a little moan. When she had finished, the woman smoothed the tape over Nancy's mouth, with her fingers.

Mmmmmmmmppppph ! moaned Nancy.

The woman laughed, ''Is that the best you can do bitch, I can hardly hear you'' then she laughed again. The woman then went back to her bag again, this time she bought out a small device.

''These mines are always collapsing, and this little charge will help this one collapse, sooner than expected. Nancy struggled, as the woman walked out, leaving the small device by the mineshaft entrance.

Nancy then struggled for all she was worth, but her bonds were tight, and she was having trouble breathing, the ropes on her chest, and the super tight gag, were making it real hard for her.

The man and the woman drove off in the car, on reaching the Highway, they saw a Police road block up ahead. The man calmly turned around and went the other way, only meet another road block. The police ordered them out of the car, they were searched, then taken into custody.

As they were being led away, they saw a helicopter speed overhead. The helicopter landed in a field near to the mineshaft. Carly, Melissa, and a Police Officer, started running across the field.

Inside the mine Nancy was sweating furiously, as she tried to get free.

As her 3 would be saviours neared the end of the field, there was a small explosion.
The Police Officer pushed the two girls to the ground. After a few seconds they looked up, they could see a cloud of dust coming out of the mine.

They ran there as fast as they could, the entrance was blocked by debris. Frantically the three of them began digging away. As soon as a small gap appeared, Melissa crawled through, she walked slowly along, coughing through the dust.

Then she came across a figure lying on the ground, it was Nancy, she was still tied to the prop, which had been dislodged from the roof.

Melissa bent down, ''Nancy are you ok'' she asked tearfully.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppphhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! ! !
was the reply.

Melissa smiled, then began to untie Nancy.

After all the drama was over the Police thanked the girls for their help, Nancy was glad just to be in one piece, although as usual she played it down.

''Another few seconds, and I would have got free'' she said with a nervous laugh.

Carly and Melissa laughed too.
