WHY DO WE LIKE TUGS?!

Postby Writer » Tue Nov 10, 2009 8:43 pm

Just throwing it out there then:

What is it about TUGS that bring us to play them? Is it the challenge, the- err, feeling, the thrill? Post your reason here, it may help me figure out mine...
Tie me up, put a sock in my mouth, I promise I won't struggle~

Finding aura is a difficult task

This is not complex at all. Having been into it for years and also having spent much time in bondage among other fetishes in my lfe. I can sum it up easily.
Being tied up gives you a certain freedom. It releases you from the hum drum of everyday living. Whether it is play with someone you trust or someone ties you up unwillingly it still sets you apart from everything else in your life, thus giving you a release and a freedom.
Treat others as you wish to be treated. Having said that I will not sit idly by while someone is disrespecting another just because they think they are better than everyone else.

I totally agree with Chloroformmeplease. But I think that everyone has a slightly different reason for being into TUGS, or bondage if you like. I know for my own part, I've always enjoyed the physical sensation of being bound as well as (I think, though unfortunately I don't know from personal experience) the thrill of being in a bondage situation, which are both more self centered reasons. More than anything, it's a nuisance to me that other people have to be involved.

But a lot of people like TUGS on a trust level, turning over complete control of the situation to someone else, which as Mr. Chloroform pointed out gives a sort of release. On the extreme end of that, there are those who like TUGS purely on a sexual level. Cause let's face it, how much more vulnerable can you get?

I think that everyone's reasons for enjoying bondage fall somewhere on that spectrum.

Hope that helps!
There's a permanent tension in music isn't there? On one hand you have three chords, you know, four four and three chords. Then there's the people like me, who say "Well, why don't we add a fourth chord and put it in five four?" - Bill Bruford

I like to see girls gagged on Youtube.

I definitely have identified with the "liberating" effect. The idea that things are happening in the world, but you have no way of actually have an affect on these actions is very "freeing." It's the idea that one should not worry about what one cannot change or do anything about, you become entirely worry free because you are incapable of attending to these worries. On the other side, the tying side, i've always felt a certain wanting to take care of a girl (to protect her health and happiness), and having her bound, gagged, and unable to help herself puts me in the most extreme situation for acting on such a desire.
Whips and chains may break my bones, but ropes and gags excite me!
