It's rather interesting how often you focus on topics of this nature... and probably rather indicative as well.
I know someone in real life who also does this a lot; everyone who knows him generally agree that he is the most unpleasant person they've ever met!
I'll bet if everyone had such a list as this, your own name (or username; whichever best applies) would appear on quite a few of them too.
And if MY name now appears on your personal list... Oh well. :big:

One of the nice things about being moderately well off, and not having to work any more, is that I can piss people off with impunity, and it won't matter. The money will still be there, and the monthly checks won't be cut off. Besides, I consider the day a total waste unless I go out and piss off a dozen or so random total strangers.

And if I'm at the top of someone else's list, so what? I don't care. My attitude is just like all those turkeys in congress: "I got mine, screw you."

And actually, I'm a very nice person. I have three cats that absolutely adore me. As long as I feed them. And I never piss off the same person more than twice in a 24 hour period.

None of this surprises me in the least.

Then why even bring it up?

Just to reassure you that you won't get any argument from me about what a cantankerous old crank you are!

Why, thank you. It's been a while since anyone recognized or appreciated me for what I am. But there was a time when I was even worse than I am now - right after I quit smoking cold turkey. I was a mean spirited, grumpy, grouchy, ill tempered, nasty SOB for the first three months. I've mellowed a bit. Now, I'm just grumpy and grouchy, but there are some that still think I'm a nasty SOB.

Ya know what? I don't care. Screw 'em if they can't take a joke. If they can, then screw 'em while they're laughing. :-)

I work with a cajun who seems to be very much like you. I have never been able to understand why anyone would want to piss off everyone around them deliberately, yet he revels in it just like you seem to. Bet you two would either get along real great or kill each other at first sight; I'm not sure just which.
Having Asperger's Syndrome, I find it's bad enough pissing off so many people around me purely by accident, without thinking of trying to do it on purpose - except for guys like him (and you  )!

I don't piss off the people around me. I have to live, work, and get along with them. I piss off total strangers. There's less of a chance I will run up on the old adage that goes "The toes you step on today, may well be connected to the ass you'll have to kiss tomorrow."

I never do so either; at least, not deliberately (i do so accidentally too often as it is). But him... he just doesn't care. I think that's sad, but what can you do? He is what he is.

I don't care because it just doesn't matter. The checks will still come; the money will still be in the bank. If I get up one morning and decide to fly to London, I'll do it. If my neighbors gets PO'd because I can do it and they can't, so what? I'll tell 'em to go earn their own damn money.

Well, unless you make a frequent habit of flaunting your money in front of those less fortunate than you, I doubt very much most people will really give a f***! My bosses take vacations to Europe or the Caribbean or Asia every couple of months. The rest of us are a bit envious perhaps, but otherwise we all know that's just the way it is! No reasonable person gets PO'd about things like that.

I wouldn't do that. There are too many other ways to piss people off, which are much more effective. All I need to do, is talk about how we are being screwed by the government. I can do that, and piss off 54,000 people in a major league ball park. :-)
