Drummers unite!

I dunno about you, but I play drums. Post your stuff if you do too.
I'm playing on an Ion electric drumset, but I'm getting an acoustic set when dad finishes the basement. I use Vic Firths, 2B, 5B and SD1 General. I've got a practice pad and acoustic snare and hi-hat w/ cowbell and tambourune. I own live wire brushes, and they work well. I've played, as of 11/11/12, four years. I'll update my stuff when I get new stuff.
I don't care.

Hi there. I may not have played percussion as recently as you, but I can say I have played drums in school from 1995-2002. Still own my drumsticks, fully wooden ones too no less, but these days I rarely find the time to concentrate on playing them except on themselves.
From whence I came and whence I went heaven said I was too evil and sent me to hell. Demons and devils succeeded in breaking my soul.

Oh good, the opportunity to make drummer jokes!

Yup! As a banjo/melodeon player I need to get the retalliation in first!

(Then can pretend that I don't percussion as well.)

What did the drummer get on his IQ test?

...drool.

Haha, just busting balls. As an experienced guitar player, I always respect my rhythm section. I can appreciate most any type of playing/music, but its metal that I play/love. If you are interested, I could post some of my stuff.

What's the difference between a drum-kit and a trampoline?

No one minds if you jump up and down on a drum kit with your boots on.

I've got three.

What do you call a guy who hangs out with musicians?

A drummer.

What's the difference between a drummer and a pizza?

The pizza can feed a family of four.

And the long one...

A drummer walks into a music shop hoping to find an instrument to learn to seem less stupid.
He tells the clerk, "I'd like that acordion over there."
The clerk asks, "Are you a drummer?"
"Why?"
"Because that's the radiator."

My bro plays bass, and I know a bass joke that pisses him off. I'll tell it, but later.
I don't care.

I've been playing drums for about 4 years. Before that, I have 7 years of trumpet behind me but my instrument was crappy and I didn't have money to buy a new one but I got sick of it anyway...

So I started learning drums at the public music school and started off with nothing but a Remo Practice pad and the drum sticks one of the professors at the music school sells owo Later I bought a Premier drum kit and a PROPER Paiste 2002 14'' hi-hat and a 2002 crash. The ride is still a piece of sh*t but oh well... I'm buying a double pedal next 8D If I can save up enough maybe an eliminator but well see how things go. I'm interested mostly in rock and metal |,,| =w= |,,|
