Childhood Experiences (No TUGS)

What were your favorite childhood experiences that did not involve tugs?

1. When I was 6, I had my first birthday party in the States, and had a lot of my elementary school friends over. We played a lot of games, and I got the biggest slice of the cake. My wish was made, but since I never told anyone, I expected it to come true, but it has not. However, the party games was fun like musical chair, the bounce house, moonwalk, and playing in the kiddie pool

2. When I was 11, I had my first sleepover at my friend's house. We played a lot of games like bobbling for apples, water balloen fight, water gun war, hide n seek, and simon says. After that, I think it was incredible that we had pizza for dinner served with a side of family recipe pumpkin pie, and it was delicious. We watched a movie, and went to bed. Breakfast consisted of bacon and eggs and biscuit with sausage gravy.

3. At age 12, I went on a horse ride with my Dad's coworker and it lasted for a while, which made it more exciting. I got to see Christmas lights, then eat at his house. There was a lot of American dishes like Barbeque, Cheeseburgers, and Hot Dogs, so it was a lot of fun. I met his sons and daughters, and we did things like play on their Nintendo 64 console, which is old, but it was good to go back to old gaming at times.

4. At age 14, I got to travel with my family to Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. I enjoyed going on the rides, especially Spaceship Earth at Epicot. We stayed at the Disneyworld Resort and Spa, and I had my first official massage, and it was relaxing and comfortable. We ate a lot of food at a famous restaurant and got something out of it at an expensive, but good quality food.

5. Finally, at age 18, I graduated from high school. My friends and I went to Dave and Busters, and I had fun playing on the games as if I was a kid again. I ordered a pasta dish and got my money worth out of it. Also, it was the last time I would be able to hang out with them before we all dispersed to universities across the country, so it was a fun and sad moment, but at least I had it.

I would advise you to share 5 moments at a time, so it would not take long to read, but it is up to you.

Hope you enjoy this thread,

1. Quiet walks in the woods with my dog.
2. vacation trips to various islands.
3. Watching sf programs like Star Trek and cartoons like Space Ghost on TV
4. Reading comic books when they were only 12 cents and actually had a plot, reading paperback novels that cost only forty cents, and eating candy bars that cost me a nickel.
5. Being with friends even when TUGs were not involved (from age 14 on up; not much of this prior to age 14 though)

1. Christmas of 1998. All my siblings were there, including my oldest sister, who visited only rarely. And I got "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time". It was the biggest christmas/birthday wish I ever had.

2. Various sport or english weeks of my school. Most of the class went away for a week, to England or a...don´t know, a place where various sports where offered. I and 3 or 4 people stood here. It´s really fun in school, if you and your classmates don´t have to do a lot. Damn relaxing.

3. Playing Breath of Fire III the first time. The first JRPG I ever played, with a graphic style I still like. And it´s still my favourite genre.

4. Going for a walk with my cousin, till 13 or something the only person I spent time with. This was the only way for really interesting conversations, because there was no other distraction, like television or something like that.

5. Generally, the 8th grade of school. I finally felt like a part of my class and spent actually time with other people out of school (even though my cousin was also there all the time). Further, finally satelite tv, pokemon and dragonball. I suppose that was the best year of my life. Unfortunately, it was the last grade in this school, so I lost contact with most of my colleagues.

No specific order here...except that 5 should be 1, elsewise, they were all great.
