StarDew Valley

I was wondering if anybody around here plays StarDew Valley. I just got it last night and while I am thoroughly enjoying it, I am absolutely lost. I have no idea what I'm doing. If anybody has any tips, suggestions, or just wants tot talk about the game, then this is a thread for that.
There is only one God, and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: Not today.

My wife plays it and I will at some point, but I do know that you should do what you what to do. The game gives you that freedom.

Funnily enough, I saw that on the front page of Steam advertised only a couple of days ago. Thought about buying it, but decided I hated 8 bit games.

It's more of a 16-bit style.

There is a big difference between 8-bit and 16-bit graphics though. 16-bit is when sprites actually started looking like what they were supposed to be.
