Sir Christopher Lee passes away on 93

Postby Chris12 » Thu Jun 11, 2015 10:40 am

Today we got the news that one of the oldest, must productive and tallest actors in the business has passed away.

Christopher Lee was most famous as Dracule, Francisco scarimanga from James Bond and Sauruman from lord of the rings. Despite his age Lee never stopped acting.

Christopher Lee was a veteran actor, World war two veteran, knight, descended of Charlemange, related to the creator of James Bond, Bond villain and producer of Metal music. We will be hard pressed finding a more interesting person.

Don't forget Lord Summerisle in the definitive (that is to say, not the crappy, dippy-hippy, American re-make) version of "The Wicker Man".

RIP Sir Christopher, a true acting legend (rare these days!) and a latter-day metal God! \m/

You neglected his role as Count Dooku in the second and third Star Wars movies; his appearances there were high points in those films.

He also appeared in the 1990s remake of "The Tomorrow People" - again as the villain!

That's mostly because Lee was kinda shafted there, being the very lately arriving villain of probably the worst received Start Wars movie and merely a bit of the intro from episode III
Lee had to be the highlight for attack of the clones because that movie certainly doesn't have anything else to boast about.

:quirk: Yes, I had the same thought - but figured that was so well understood anyway it went without saying. :geek:
