I've always been a fan of the .hack series, so it really wasn't surprising that I really got into Sword Art Online recently.

Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra are also both amazing, though I'm not sure if most people consider those true anime or what not.

Not having had cable for 8 years, I'll have to go with Dragonball Z.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, because it's got the best plot in the history of plots.

Plus, Sword Art Online is good, one of the better newer ones.

Avatar the last airbender was beyond brilliant. And even though the legend of korra isn't getting the same hype after season 1, I still think it will be awesome with time and I'm so looking forward to it in the spring

Mine would be robotech (if that counts as one), then last exile, and if this counts, most of hayo miuzaki's works. I know i probably horribly misspelled his name. Sorry :?
I won't struggle, i promise! Just pull that rope down so i can reach it easily.

My god, I love Hayao Miyazaki. Spirited Away makes the ninth best movie of all time on Metacritic and also won the 75th Academy Award for an animated film.

Gundam 00 (both seasons)

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (not the manliest thing, but it was good)
Elfen Lied

Avatar and Code Lyoko? Those...aren't anime. It's just western companies copying the art style. Sorry :(.
Personally, I love Spice and Wolf. It's kinda a strange concept, but I just can't believe they manage to make economics so epic!

Avatar is a cross between anime and cartoon. Code Lyoko has similar elements.

Regardless, they're both excellent animations. :P

Oh, i'l also add hellsing to the list. The plot is only so, so(come on! Nazi vampires? :worried: ) but both Brish butler Walter C dornez and his razor floss of doom and baddass ''AMEN'' screaming priest Alexander Andersome are two of the most awesome characters you'd ever find :big:

I also hear dbz got a redub so i'm kinda interested in that should i have the time.

I think you're referring to Dragonball Kai. That one isn't only a re-dub; the art has been upgraded too. Haven't seen it on TV however, but only bits of it on Youtube.

I count amongst my favourites, Noir and Dai-Guard.

Dai-Guard is a great antidote to the normal giant robot animes.
