A thread of happiness

Postby FelixSH » Thu May 22, 2014 2:14 pm

In another forum I frequent we have a thread were we write down things that make us feel good. It can help pick up the mood, so let´s try it here. Just write something down that made you happy, something that happened now or in general.

I want to express my pure joy about the great weather we had today. The last 2 weeks were pretty shitty, and it started to make me depressed, but when the sun came out my mood improved immediately. The temperature increased and now it is like in summer. I just came back from a walk at 11:30 PM, listening to music and watching cute couples as I walked by. That guys wear shorts now makes me very happy, I have a total thing for knees and everything downwards. I love summerclothes, people look so good in them. Also, a lot of people just sit in the grass, looking happy themself and relaxed. It´s great.

So, what makes you feel good? Share some happiness with us. :D

Just laid my hands and ears on the New Epica and Lacuna Coil albums and on Goliath, the last book of the Leviathan serie by Scott Westerfeld.
And the release of a new Nina Story by Dr. George

^ Refreshing to not only see another fan of metal, but a female one at that. That makes me happy.

But I came in here to divulge my happiness over buying my first house. One more month and its mine (well, mine and my wife's). Can't freakin wait!

It's great when you get a bit older and things that seemed dull as a youngster are now prized achievements.

I'n my 20s, I was happy having sex, now I'm happier with a good night's sleep.

Saturday was especially awesome. a full 10 hours.

Slept in till 11, the wife brought me coffee and toast.
There's always time for a nice cup of tea.

Nintendo's turn at the E3 was today and what was shown made me very, very, very happy. I've been in a great mood the entire evening and there's more to come :D

I haven´t watched the E3, but I just read about what Nintendo showed. I really need a WiiU. Is there a game that you are specifically waiting for? For some reason I totally want this Hyrule Dynasty Warrior thing. Ripping armies of monsters appart with an awesome warrior-mage Zelda sounds like fun.

Hyrule warriors of course, Smash bros and i'm very, very exited for the new Bayonetta( )

Haven't been keeping up with E3. Smash is the one I am most interested in. That Hyrule Warriors sounds like interesting as well. I never played Bayonetta.

What makes me happy: All my friends on here, of course. :D

Hehe, I just read that Pacman is in Smash Brothers. That´s like fighting with a smily-face. Sounds sort of trolly for me, and certainly makes me happy enough to grin. :big:

Also, the new Turtles cartoon is totally awesome.

Pacman hungered for battle.

I remember an epic tmnt show back in the days as well as a real live one that was just campy.

Jay -

Stop off in Kauai as you fly by (or at least wave as you fly over). I'll be happy to see you are firmly "involved" in your Hawaii vacation opportunity.
Have a safe trip in any case.
If you believe in yourself enough -
nobody else will figure out you're faking it.

I just watched the first episode of the Sailor Moon reboot show. Nostalgia set in. I liked it.
Why, yes, I was a big Sailor Moon fan ~15 years ago.

Well AS I said a few days ago I got hooked on Assassins creed 4 Black a while back not really playing the missions just sailing around the Carribean creating all sorts of mischief.

Today though I couldn't be more proud of one of my former soldiers . I met her and her fiance up at a range I frequent that will allow you to rent out different firearms every thing from pistols to long guns I brought a few of my toys along but its what she fired and quite well I might add that made me proud.
Her fiance had brought a 9mm along with him which they planned to shoot once entering the building though they saw the array of weapons that could be rented, they decided to have some fun.
She tormented him about shooting his "Little gun " when she saw the Desert Eagle 50 cal you could rent out I decided not shoot as this was something that I knew was about to happen that was too damn good to miss.
Sure enough they rented out the Desert Eagle I paid for the Ammo which wasn't cheap mind you but she chose a really cool Zombie target and off to the indoor range we went
Her fiance went first as we just stood back and watched him shoot he could barely hold the damn thing up much less shooting it accurately he didn't even hit the damn target!
She quietly sent the target back down range while I loaded 5 rounds into the mag she stopped at a distance of about 25 yards took a deep breath picked up the weapon with both hands to get a good feel of it I handed her the mag which she slammed in then hit the slide release to bring it forward chambering her first round.
Took a deep breath exhaled and slowly squeezed the trigger and proceeded to put all 5 rounds center mass!
Whats TRULY funny is this young lady is about 5ft 2 and a buck oh 5 soaking wet . All the guy could do was stand there with his mouth hanging wide open as everyone around INCLUDING me stood there laughing our asses off !

I WISH I could have gotten Photos or Video of that I just got a text from her a short while ago saying that shes put the target up in her apartment with all her other Zombie stuff along with all the brass she saved
I couldnt be MORE proud of her
I truly wish I could have been there to see the look the guys face when she told him shes fired it before !

Sorry to hear that you had to go through an operation, but I am glad that everything worked out fine and that you are on a good way. Get well soon. :)
Also: The mouseguard pic is super-adorable.

I hope that the bands are using original lyrics, as there is a great danger in using text from other documents...

Nice! I have tickets to Amon Amarth this fall too, likely the same tour. They always deliver the goods. I saw Sabaton for the first time earlier this year, and while their music isn't entirely my cup of tea, they still put on a very entertaining show.
