I'd guess there is a number of people - say between five and eight percent - that are tall and skinny, who, even with their hands tied tightly behind their backs, can slide their tied hands under their butts, untie their feet, step through their tied hands, pull down their gags, then use their teeth to untie their hands. The general rule of thumb (for boys), is that to effect an escape in this manner, the length of the inseam must be not less than four inches greater than the waist size. In short, if your waist size is 26 inches, your inseam should measure at least 30 inches. Less than 30 inches, and escape will be difficult. (A boys size 12 regular in the US, measures 26 x 26; 12 slim, 24 x 26.)
When I was young, some of my friends grew "up" upon hitting the puberty growth spurt. They gained 2-4 inches in height, but little or nothing in the waist. Others grew "out." They added 2-3 inches to their waists, 1-2 inches to their height, and a size and a half in their feet.
