Do you guys ever dream about bondage?

Postby SolidSnickerdoodle » Sun Oct 02, 2016 3:27 am

This morning I woke up after having yet another bondage dream. While I don't think they're necessarily increasing in frequency, this has to be the third one this month. And I'm kind of getting sick of them.

It's strange. You might be asking yourself how a near-physical manifestation of my greatest desire could be anything but great. Well, while I would absolutely love to be transported to a realm of steamy bondage with Emma Watson, that's not exactly what's happening here. Oddly enough, the actual bondage never does occur in the dream. And after all these years I still can't think of one time that it has.

Instead, it will usually involve somebody that I've known. Specifically a friend or classmate that I've been attracted to. In the dream, the topic of bondage will come up and plans will be made for a TUG, be it sexual or otherwise. The buildup to the bondage is always a little fuzzy, but I guess in a dream you don't really need probably cause.

Fast forward and we'll be on our way back to my/her/his house. Or perhaps we'll have to stop and grab some supplies first. The important thing is that there is always something standing in the way of the bondage happening. It can never just occur then and there. By the time everything is resolved and the scene is finally about to take place, I wake up. This happens every single time.

I've even tried to go back to sleep within that 60 second window that you have after waking up to try to get back in the dream because I NEED CLOSURE DAMNIT! But it never works. Freud would've had a field day with this. I mean, what kind of recurring bondage dream never has any bondage? I'm not big into dream interpretation, but could this be representative of some hesitation to take that final step? I don't know. Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone else have strange bondage dreams or are they pretty straightforward? I can't really talk to anyone else about this, so you guys are my only means of comparison.

If there was ever a case to be made for learning how to lucid dream, this is it right here.

Oddly enough, something similar has happened with me too... But it's not just with bondage dreams, but sexual dreams of any kind! And they aren't perverted or anything, my mind just doesn't wanna go through with it I guess... I think the way thing to do is actually look into lucid dreaming. I know people say it's bullshit but the times I've attempted it, my dreams were the most vivid they've ever been. Hope this helps...

Used to have them with relative frequency. A lot of times I would be chilling at a random place only to hear mmpphing or get a feeling to go to some section off and there I'd find a gorgeous woman bound and gagged and wanting for me to bask in them. Nowadays in the rare occasion, either I wake up prematurely or in a couple of really bad scenarios it was a snake or a corpse or in one bizarre instance I got transported into some jumpscare inducing house far away with the feeling of some ghost about to come from the morbid abyss to get me.

You can train your self to lucid dream, I've only had one but it wasn't bondage.

Yeah once, my sister and laurie was leading me to a hole with my hands tied in front, I realized I was going to be executed for being a man, so I escaped with hundreds of angry women chasing me.

I dream about bondage often. I actually get to the point of bondage in them. It's usually simple ties, but sometimes, more complex bondage. The dreams are usually pretty sexy.

Probably. They don't go that far though, usually it's just someone strapped in a chair or something, but a lucid dream would be interesting.

I admit I have dreamed a few times that I was in bed with a girl I liked and she was bound and gagged...

During my lonelier horny teenage years I attempted to train myself to lucid dream, started by thinking real hard about girls I knew and celebrities I'd like to see bound and gagged but nothing ever happened. I even looked at a few YouTube tutorials on it, still no success. Eventually I heard that lucid dreaming can cause sleep paralysis... which really was not something I wanted to experience so in the end had to settle for bondage day dreaming.

It seems the only dreams I have these days are about being late for school and I haven't done any homework... I finished education nearly 10 years ago...

Lucid dreaming causing sleep paralysis? Never have heard of that piece of research in my studies. However wearing a watch has been found to trigger greater occurrences of lucid dreaming. You look at your watch in dreams and realize it isn't working, and that "this must be a dream."

Try reading books with bondage in them, different parts of the brain are triggered by reading and watching.
To tie or be tied? I'm not one to care as long as there are gags!

The funny thing here is, I always lucid dream when I do dream and have as long as I remember. But somehow I've never to my recollection had a dream about bondage and, yes, sure, as a lucid dreamer I could just make it happen, but even as a lucid dreamer the mind is still its own thing and apparently the thought of bondage has oddly never occurred to me as I dreamed, which is especially strange considering how often it does when awake.

Maybe thinking about it now will make my mind more inclined to go there.

Daydreams, however? Oh yes. It really tends to make me feel more awake though, so maybe that's the issue.

I think there's a difference between realizing you're in a dream and controlling that dream. It's a rare occurence, but there have been times when I've been dreaming and thought to myself, "Okay, this is far too weird/good to be true. I must be dreaming." But even after that revelation it's like I'm still just along for the ride. I can't summon things at will or change the story line. I'm basically a passenger. The only thing I can do at that point is decide whether or not to wake up.

Definitely! I can control my dreams, it's just that the thought to control them in a bondage way has never occurred to me while dreaming, if that makes sense.

I can and often do lucid dream, but for me at least it comes with one annoying limitation: anything that excites me (in either a good or bad way) immediately wakes me up!!! Makes me virtually immune to nightmares, but it also means I never have anything resembling a wet dream either. So I cannot dream of my favorite fetishes, ever.
It's so bad my mind even shuts those dreams down before the excitement can wake me up! Fear, anger, love, joy... makes no difference. As long as I do not get too emotionally committed, i can dream as long as as lucidly as I wish; it's like watching a movie or a TV show. I can even explore alien planets in my dreams as long as I remain 'detached' emotionally; like I'm watching a movie. But if I get emotionally involved, the dream disintegrates at once!

You explained it pretty well! A couple of times when having nightmares that upset me, I've kind of "righted" things so they are not scary any more, lucid dreaming and all, but that ultimately led to me waking up and it being more of a daydream than anything else. Exactly as you said, as long as I'm detached, I can do what I want while dreaming, otherwise I'm going to wake up.

I wonder if that's generally a thing with lucid dreamers.

I don't know, but maybe. That's not to say I can't interact with people in my dreams; i can and often do in a moderately enjoyable fashion. But if the interaction becomes emotionally charged, that ends it. I remember more than once having an argument turn into a fight in my dreams and i literally woke up swinging (rapped my knuckles against a bureau doing that one time)! Fortunately it's pretty rare that i get upset like that in my dreams. More often i just simply remember I can become invincible in my dream and settle the other person's hash before i get too angry to stay in the dream.
Thing is, though I can lucid dream, it's important for me to [b]not [/b remember it's only a dream, or that screws up everything.
I think the last time I lost it, I was witnessing a nuclear explosion destroying the downtown area of Portland Maine (where I live) from the outskirts. As the shock wave approached me, i actually found myself wondering if i was really dreaming. I was actually doubting it for a moment. Then the shock wave hit and i found myself unscathed while everything around me got flattened, and I too suddenly realized it was a dream after all. Unfortunately that same realization coming too suddenly woke me up even when though I didn't freak out at all witnessing a nuclear explosion from all too close a distance! The shock of the sudden realization I was dreaming ruined the detachment the explosion itself failed to cause, and i woke up.
That's why i can't lucid dream about sex or bondage; they get me too excited. even more so than witnessing a nuclear explosion, apparently! :quirk:

I've had my share of bondage dreams. They usually involve females from my own life (past or present) as opposed to celebrities.

Obviously , the dreams aren't frequent enough, don't last long enough, and aren't remembered long enough.

Dreams are like a river current, if you go to sleep worrying about somethin or thnking of being afraid of something your flow of thought might carry over in REM sleep, One example I was worried about meeting a woman, so I saw that woman in a dream, I was sitting in a has chamber, I dropped some tablets into a bucket green gas rose up and she was telling me to take a deep breath.
Funny example I ate a breakfast burrito then went to sleep and drept, I was being digested, meaning that sometimes REM is effected by how you feel.
That's my experience of course I have dreams of the future that can be annoying at times.

I had a dream just last night, swear I'm not making this up...

I was in a police station (I wanna be a cop) processing a criminal with one of my course teachers who is a cop in real life, then at one point I went to the toilet and there were two girls from my course that I like bound and gagged sitting on the floor, they were gagged with black tape, tied with rope and were perfectly calm, as was I.

I just washed my hands, then they were no longer tied up as if there'd been a time skip or something, and I asked one of the girls why they were tied up before and they said it was just "part of the training" and everyone would get a go lol.

Again, not making this up :P

I dreamt I was a princess in distress once.I don't recall much else, save for being held above a body of water with carnivorous fish in it. Cliché, but nice.
