Buying Supplies

Postby tyme115 » Sat Mar 12, 2011 1:31 pm

I think you are being paranoid as no one would know what these items are for unless you dropped some hints. I've bought lots of stuff from duct tape, to rope, to nylon straps, etc and no one was ever the wiser.

I tend to buy my supplies online. On the occasions that I've bought them in stores, I've used sex shops - so there are never any weird looks. In fact, it usually ends in a rather fun conversation about what I'm going to be doing with them later that night xD

Why not just look them in the eye, say, "I've got a friend comming round." and incline your head very slightly whilst smiling?

who cares about it really? you are doing what you like and they are just an employee, just another drone you will most likely never see again, they will think about it for a second and then forget it, what you may want to do if you are still concerned is to buy a few other non TUG related things, or perhaps simply buy them at 10 minute intervals, go inside, buy the bandanas, go somewhere else, come back 10 minutes later, check out at a different register

If the cashier is a good-looking woman, ask her if she'd like to have some fun with you and your supplies later.*

Seriously, when I've bought stuff I usually buy it with other things and only 1 or 2 TUG-related things at a time so people don't get the wrong idea. You could probably get away with rope and duct tape at Home Depot or Lowe's at the same time since they're useful for a lot of other things too but if you go to Target and buy bandanas, rope, duct tape, and padlocks they're probably going to know something's up.

*Not really a good idea, even if she was into it she's probably not going to like being asked by a total stranger. But it would be funny just to see it happen once.

OR... you could just buy condems with whatever you're buying. Serioously, I do that just for fun.

Cool whip: $5
50 yards of Duct Tape: $7
Power Drill: $50
Box of Condems: $4
The look on your cashier's face: priceless.

Okay, I have to ask, what's the power drill for?

I was rather curious about that one myself, Kyle! xD

Though I msut say, I don't think sales assisstants react weirdly to people buying condoms - it's hardly strange! When I was 16, I was convinced that absolutely everyone was staring at me when I bought them and judging me, but you kinda get used to the idea that pretty much everyone DOES buy them at some point. . .

Never ever. Although it might not be a bad idea to buy something else non-TUGs-related next time along with your new toys ;)

I never get funny looks. And I'm a guy who goes in and buys the occasional pair of panties and skirt! Along with other stuff, groceries, tools, pantyhose if I need 'em, pants and shirts for my business ... mix 'em up, doesn't look as suspicious. Think American Graffiti when the minor went in to buy the pint of Jack Daniels. ;) :gag:

The power drill is for drilling screws on a building site. But the fact that you bought it with condems makes the imagination go wild. You all have been mindf*cked. XD

One time i need supplies i decided to try out a new hardware store that had newly opened. Once i entered the store i noticed that i might not be able reach every thing so i requested the help of an employee. So using a list i had brought with me we went around the store getting every thing i needed. Heres some things i remember was on the list was:
5 Rolls of duct tape (different colors)
100 ft of soft rope
Few small locks
Roll of small twine
Table saw
When he cashed me in the only thing he asked about was the table saw (it was a gift for someone) i guess he never gave much thought to why i was buying the other things.
Let's use all the colors.
Dust 'em, Pix!
Yup! That tasted purple!

Wow. I wish I had enough money to burn on power drills just to see the look on a shop assisstants face. . .

No I just wondered because everything else could be involved with tie-ups in some way.

I also really doubt that buying condoms with something makes a shop assisstant assume that your other purchases are also for sexual purposes! They probably just assume that you're running low and are about to get lucky. They're hardly the rarest good in the world to buy xD

Heh, thats just what my girlfriend was telling me they day we went to Home Depot for bondage supplies. I approach the counter with a large coil of rope and a roll of duct tape. Of course, the first thing the cashier says is "Haha, if you can't tie em up, tape em up! Right?" To which I just laughed nervously, and told my gf I TOLD YOU SO like 5 times in the parking lot

So yes, I always feel weird buying bondage gear because I feel like the above will always happen. Also I'm not one to speak of my bondage interest openly with ANYBODY but my woman. Well, and anonymously with all you fine people here :D
