With Season 6 almost over, and with episode 9 being beyond epic, anybody got anything to say or discuss? Let's do it! :D

Oh, this thread will be DARK AND FULL OF SPOILERS, you've been warned.

There's already a few topics about this I think but oh well.

I'm....not feeling it. I have no issues at all for the series to diverge from the books which I haven't even read...but I do expect those changes to be good.
And Dorne proved that's not really the case. Doran Martel is supposed to be a calculating lord on par with Tywin Lanister. He's supposed to have a master plan going with Varys but instead he's just changed into a pasifist killed by a nutjob who makes NO sense. That's not bad because its a change but because Doran is an infinitely less interesting character now and his replacement really isn't up to snuff.

As for Roose Bolton. I think they just killed him to get rid of him. Bastardboy killing him was always on the table but it just happened with so little fanfare that it kinda irked me. Roose was better then Ramsey in every way so I'd at least want to see some effort in his downfall.

The next episode will have to take away my fear for Varys. In this timespawn in the books he's doing something incredible baddass that proves his importance and a lot of the season it looked like they would be removing that plotline from Varys. It does look a bit better now that he's going to Westeros but I'm unsure what he's going to do there.

Thanks for the response.

And yes, I have to agree that I don't like the whole scrapping of the storylines thing. I'm still eagerly awaiting for Lady Stoneheart to make an appearance, even though I know that it most like will never happen. Oh, and no Cleganebowl??? Laaaaaame.

I completely agree that the Dorne storyline is probably the absolute weakest thing that ever happened on that show. So far, that is. Though I'm not sure what they could do with Ellaria and the Sand Snakes.

I think that both Roose and Ramsay got exactly what they deserved and it's nice to see the Boltons get wiped out. But now, there are practically no villains left. Other than Cersei, the Faith, and the White Walkers, it's pretty much peace and quiet.

I'm not sure what Varys storyline you're talking about because I'm still pretty ignorant when it comes to the books :D But I'm sure it's great, because Varys is pretty awesome in his own right.

With all of that aside, next episode is pretty much guaranteed to reveal who Jon's parents truly are. Would be a great cliffhanger. He'll probably find his headstone in the Stark crypt. Also, I'm almost certain that Sansa is pregnant. Plus Cersei is on the right to being the next Mad King. Queen, whatever.

The events surrounding the little birds would have been very amazing if not for one little thing. Its my favorite characters grand moment and its being stolen away from him. Seems like Varys got the short end of the stick as expected.

Well, at least in the season finale he united Dorne and Dany's forces, that counts for something.
