I got the tie me up and gag me blues

Hi,

as far as I can tell from a forum post, you are not neurotic. You simply miss something very much which you enjoyed very much in the past.

Yes, it may be something a lot of people consider "weird". Alas, who gives a *beep*? If you enjoy it, it's fine. Heck... I find collecting postal stamps very weird, but other people enjoy it, so what?

That you are more sensible to tie ups etc in movies/TV/theater is only logical. Because it means more to you. A "normal" person sees it and thinks "Oh yea, hes tied up and cant' escape". You, on the other hand, think about all the positive experiences you had while tied up, the feeling of the rope on the skin etc... and propably get a bit, ehm let's call it excited, too.

Hope that helps a little...

Cheers

I won’t presume to speak for anyone but myself; nevertheless… I’m no psychologist but I’m having trouble seeing anything neurotic here, just some healthy concern for something you’re passionate about. (Passion good, obsession bad.)
Again speaking only for myself… I often get similar blues because I am unable to play the innocent tie-up games of my youth with the same carefree abandon. People think I’m weird when (for example) we’re watching TV or a movie and someone gets tied up (especially if it’s a fellow damsel) and I suddenly perk up. So yeah, it can be frustrating. It’s like always being the designated driver at a party… or being allergic to chocolate!
Is there a cure? Probably not, except the anticipation that something good will come along.
And what Fesselfan says about TV/movies… very good point.

Guess I am feeling the blues nowadays, cause the tying is not as common anymore... to say the least. I am trying to understand or come to grips of what started this for me... why tie up games has been such a huge part of my life, but I can´t find any answers, no particular time or event that opened my eyes for this. In some ways it feels like it has always been there. I know I liked theese games as young as 6 anyways, and before that other strange games that involved some kind of submission. How about you all - do you remember how it all started?

It started for me I think with cops and robbers games, spy games and other TUG related games. My other interests in gloves, kidnap and chloroform all spin off from that. As I got older it got easier opening up to partners but I still don't tell friends because I do not think they will understand. I had a bit of handgagging and glove play with an early girlfriend when I was about 19 or 20 but I did not have a proper TUG with a g/f until I was 23.

She was 37 and I remember feeling extremely nervous letting her tie me for the first time, especially when she seemed to be a little too expert for someone who had never done it before. I was even more nervous when she let me kidnap her for the first time and the thing I love about the net (and sites like this) is that it provides a reassurance that you're not alone which is how I felt growing up. You go to school, clubs and to the shops or meet friends and occasionally you see a nice pair of gloves being worn or chat about a tie-up scene you have seen on TV and all you want to do is say "Hey I love those gloves!" or "I'd love to be tied up like that!"

Of course, you don't or you didn't back then; nowadays it's great to have a community to share experiences and stories so it should be a lot easier for TUGgers of the future!!! :bound:
