What happened to caleb_tras's stories?

He PMed me a few days before the crash and asked me to delete his account.
I close my eyes, Inis Mona
And reminisce of those palmy days
I moon o'er you, Inis Mona
As long as I breathe
I'll call you my home

The only way (that I know of) to delete all of someones posts is either to go hand by hand and delete one by one or delete the whole account. He asked me to delete all his post.. I told him the only way i can is to delete his account (since I'm not going to sit here and delete every topic and reply) and he agreed.

Here are the messages newest is on top, oldest on bottom (first on bottom last on top):

Hi Zanev,
I'd like to ask a favor. Please delete my posts and the threads they are in. I haven't posted in months and I don't think anyone would notice if they were gone. I could erase my post but it would leave the responses. I'm not against the board. I just want to go in a different direction and want to make a break with the past.
If you cannot do this, please answer and explain.
Thanks
caleb_tras

It says anonymous because when you delete someones account it deletes their name from all PMs. The one where you see his name he inserted it. Hope this clears things up.

Let me put it this way... on the internet you can stretch the truth very far...

I have been watching this topic, and have no problem about what is being said, However the underlying fact is that there is an empty forum called Canuck's Picks, where good stories from departed or inactive members could be preserved/spotlighted. Canuck has archives going back to the early days of the web. Why not start nominating stories for inclusion, allow people to comment for a while and then post them on Canuck's Picks and LOCK them so they can't be spammed.

It also seems that the link to the archives still doesn't work. Perhaps we should add a topic in TUGS links for that purpose. When this board went up, Canuck removed the link to the moat recent dreanbooks forum, but never added it to the archives. And I wonder when Doug's collection of excellent stories will become the victim of some web malfunction, and be lost?

Last suggestion: Eliminate the "Advertise your TUGs forum. Everybody uses TUGs Links for that purpose anyway!

The canucks picks section is just for that...canuck to pick stories...which he hasn't done yet. I'll get on him bout it. And the link section was removed before we ran a backup, I've just not had the time to remove it again. As for the archives... i dont get what you mean.

In the header at the top of every page there is a statement:

The archives can be found at: http://www.asstr.org/~canuck100/

This used to function as a link, it no longer does. (The address is still good)

It should be posted in Tugs Links if it cannot be used as such in the header.

People can copy and paste it, it's fine.
