First, I was supposed to get my shoes off after I was tied, and I did (yay me!). I was also supposed to try and untie my ankles, but that i couldn't do....or get my hands free. I gave up after 20 minutes.
SueStruggles suggested i try a chair tie, so I did. my hands were behind my back, not behind the chair, so they were kinda squished down and I really couldn't get my hands free. My ankles were crossed, and tied together, and the rope went behind the chair, so I couldn't even get my shoes off.
OldVillain suggest a post, so we did that too. That I got out of! It took some time, but I got my hands free, then untied my legs.
If anyone has a challenge for me go ahead and pot it in the thread I started in the (I think) TUGS Chat folder. Or just PM me, and I'll post the results here.
Re: the chair tie, have your hands tied together behind your back first, The more rope the better since one or two loops around each wrist can get tight and result in rope burn. I usually prefer 4 or more loops around each wrist. Once your hands are tied, then sit in the chair. Try to find a chair where you can actually sit down with your wrists behind the back of the chair. That way your hands aren't "squished" between you and the chair. Have your arms tied to the back or rails of the chair, being careful to keep the knots out of reach of your tied hands. Have your feet either tied together, then tied to a leg of the chair, or have each ankle tied seperately to a leg of the chair. Pre-arrange a time you want to be left, I'd say at least 30 minutes. I would recommend longer, but if your friend is going to leave the room it is best that they check on you every 30 minutes. Pre-arrange a safe word so you can be freed if you need to be, but otherwise it's fun to be kept tied up for multiple 30 minute periods. It's also fun if they come back after 30 minutes and you really don't know if they are going to untie you. When I am tied up for an hour or more, I begin to anticipate the return of the person checking on me, and if they come back and then say they're leaving again it is a fun feeling to know that, absent escape, you aren't getting out for a while! Once, I was tied up for over 3 hours. That was a long time, but fun!
