My little Omegle Survey

I know that we're all here because we have a natural infatuation with the idea of tying others up and playing DID/TUG games. However, I was curious about just how many other people enjoyed the idea of playing DID games. So to get such an idea anonymously, I hopped on the website omegle.com, a website that connects you with random strangers and lets you chat. It's like Chatroulette but without the video (and penis) part of it. I made use of Spy Mode, a mode that lets you ask a question anonymously that two strangers will talk about while you watch on.
Since outright talking about a bondage fetish tends to scare people away, I posed this question instead: "Girls: Would you get a kick out of being a damsel in distress? Guys: Would you get a kick out of saving a damsel in distress?"
To be fair, I should have taken into account guys who like being in distress and girls who like doing the saving, but I felt that the "damsel in distress" idea was always more socially acceptable, and people would feel more free to talk about it. Personally, I am a male (and a dom) and my favorite fantasy is saving a beautiful woman in peril.
That being said, let's get to the results, which pleasantly surprised me.
I didn't get any exact numbers, but I got a good idea of how the good people of Omegle felt about this topic.
Many people simply saw the question and logged off (this is true for any question, so I didn't take this much to heart).
The vast majority of people responded "yes!" I was honestly shocked that so many people got a kick out of the idea of DID. Now most of the guys on Omegle act vulgar and claim that they would love saving a damsel in distress, if only to get victory sex from the damsel (not exactly a chivalrous group, though I can't blame them). Most of the girls enthusiastically claimed that they would love to be a damsel in distress, though none really expounded on exactly why they would enjoy that. A couple of girls said "no," acting almost or outright offended at the idea of having to be rescued. Interestingly enough, a couple of males enthusiastically said that they would much rather be the villain, in fact mentioning the idea of tying the girl up as a high point. And getting to wear awesome costumes. :D Only a few people acted in disguest ("wtf," "what's your problem, man" etc.).
How I felt about the results: I was genuinely surprised by just how many people enjoyed the damsel in distress concept. This little "survey" has only given me a vague idea of just why (sexual undertones for most guys, and the ladies didn't really explain why). However, it's given me an idea of just how ingrained this idea is in popular culture. We see the damsel in distress concept so many times in the media. It's an idea that's older than time, and I've always been curious just what it is about the "damsel in distress" trope that appeals to so many people.
I'm probably going to do this Omegle survey again some time, perhaps in a few days.
Share your opinions! :)

Wow, that's pretty amazing. I never would have thought that so many people are actually in to this stuff. Once again, I am proven wrong.
This is where I'm supposed to put a signature. Hooray.
