Are you more confident when making decisions on your own?
You will have to subdue me to restrain me. I been a bad boy so make sure you torture me too with anything but pain.

Let me consult my family, friends, neighbours and colleagues, and get back to you.

On a serious note... my philosophy is that if the decision affects me alone, I am confident I can make the decision alone. If the decision affects or involves others, I feel more confident that I will be making the right one by consulting them.
In either case, sensible advice never goes astray.

I seek advices to have other perspectives on the consequences of my actions, what is likely to happen, how people will react, but at the end i make my own decision. So then i'm cautiously confident. I had good tutors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEPqwHuioRA
I am a native frenchspeaker not an englishspeaker, so i might make some huge mistakes in grammar. Sorry

If you are under pressure, follow your heart. If it is relationships, use your brain. My friend is a good example. He had a girlfriend. She flirted with other boys, and cheated on him. He never broke up, yet he knew. He was so blinded by love he used his heart. Obviously, it says keep her. USE YOUR BRAIN! I would take my time in anything else, get help.
Never give up.

On a more serious note, I have a step-by-step guide to making a decision

Scenario:

You want to go out to a party with Friends, but your wife wants a meal out. What would you do?

Step 1:

Think carefully using your BRAIN. If you dont have a brain, wait 600 years until the technology is invented. Then go to step 2.

Step 2:
Think again. it is always good to double check.

Step 3:
Worry. Think of both options. Think of the Consequences. Nothing bad, what's the worst that could happen?
Apart from having no friends, Being a loner, or getting divorced, kicked out of the House and dying of dehydration at the age of 25.

Step 4:
Think about it through the night. Wake up. Good news, the party was cancelled!

Step 5: Decide to go out for a meal. You then realise that step 4 was a dream, and both the meal and the party took place last night.

Step 6:
Face the consequences.
You have been divorced and kicked out of the cheap house you bought because you were poor and couldnt afford anything else. Call your friend for help. Realise you have no friends for skipping the party, and die of dehydration at 25.

Step 7:
Let someone else decide. They bury you in their garden, as it is too expensive for a burial.

Hope this helps!
The morale of the Story? Get someone else to do the dirty (and clean) Work.
Never give up.

Depends on the circumstances, such as how much it'd affect my life, and who else it would affect. If other people are seriously affected, their own thoughts on the matter should be consulted. If it's just minor stuff such as whether to see the latest Hobbit movie this week or try something i have never tried before as part of a meal, then yeah. Major changes like giving up on a job (as i did this last year) are a bit harder but still yeah, since such decisions affect only me. Those that seriously affect others would be harder for me though; but being single and childless that almost never happens to me.
Dare to be different... and make a difference.
To boldly go where no one in their right mind has gone before...
