The Convention (F/F) (Chapter 7: Will the author ever stop getting sick?)

Postby notapotato » Sat Jun 13, 2015 11:28 am

My first foray into the field of bondage writing. I've been playing around with this idea for a while, and welcome any and all feedback. Enjoy!

------------------------

I eyed the next obstacle with some apprehension - a narrow ledge on the edge of a larger block, a little higher than the one I was standing on, with a gap of a metre or so between the two. The jump itself wouldn't be that difficult. Landing was another story.

My companion was waiting hesitantly behind me, unsure of what to do - the black cloth tied across her eyes saw to that. At the beginning of this little adventure, it had been relatively straightforward to describe things for her, but now they were getting more complicated.

I gave her the best description I could, concluded with "And here goes nothing.", and jumped.

Almost immediately, it became apparent that I'd overestimated. I went flying across the ledge and smashed into the wall. Like the rest of the room, it was all made out of squishy foam, so it didn't hurt - but it did send me flying backward into open space.

Crap!

In the seconds before I hit the ground, my first instinct (besides swearing) was to stop my skirt from flying up. Unfortunately, that would require my arms not being tied up and useless. I hit the foam floor in an immodest, irritated, and bouncy mess.

I heard my friend yell down from above, asking if I was alright. After a pause to catch my breath and an ultimately futile struggle to get on my feet, I replied that I was.

...

Perhaps I should start from the beginning.

------------------------

It was Halloween, and my dear roommate Melody wanted us to go out together. I wasn't interested - social things aren't exactly my cup of tea; I'd much rather cuddle up with a cat and a book and perhaps an actual cup of tea. But she'd bought me a costume, and in retrospect I'm sure she knew full well what she was doing - my embarrassment about people spending money on me is no secret. And so I ended up as some sort of female Hannibal Lector, complete with straitjacket, and surprised myself by having the time of my life.

I then surprised both of us again by attending the following day's Halloween party, where a cute boy declined to unbind my arms but made up for it by being very sweet and helpful, and we both got our first kiss out of it, but that's a story for another time.

Over the following months, Melody and I went through many a roll of saran wrap, I discovered that being immobilised helps me sleep, and my parents were rather confused when I returned for winter break and they found my straitjacket as I unpacked. And around mid-April, as the semester was beginning to drag on, Mel told me about a bondage convention and asked me to accompany her. I somehow failed to be surprised.

I did, however, need a bit of persuasion. "Absolutely not", Mel claims was my reaction, but I think she's exaggerating.

I'd been holding off on posting more until I got some feedback - I don't want to spam the board!- but decided it's been long enough. Some comments would be nice though...

------------------------

Over the two-ish weeks between Melody's invitation and the start of the convention, she tried out various outfits on me, all with some degree of restraint built into them. I was hesitantly willing to wear one - if I was going to this crazy thing in the first place, I figured I might as well go all in. But I found myself shooting down all her suggestions anyway. Some were just too restrictive (I'm not sure how I was supposed to walk around in some of them), and others too tight or too revealing, and a couple just weird-looking.

The day of the convention arrived, and I was feeling pretty content with myself for avoiding agreeing to any. We'd planned to meet up with Jeremy, the guy I'd befriended last Halloween, at the apartment he shared with his sister. They were heading to the same place and had a car, and getting changed there would let us leave discreetly. Sarah, the sister in question, was wearing a silk blouse and slacks, unrestrained aside from a cloth blindfold and a ballgag. Mel and I had borrowed their bedroom to help each other change.

Mel's outfit was a red minidress, tight-fitted and very flattering, which was basically what she wore to most parties anyway. It lacked sleeves, or even holes for her arms, which were held in place behind her back by internal tubes.

And me? I'd been expecting to wear what I had come in - normal vanilla not-bondage clothes. But Mel changed my mind at the last minute. She'd found a dress I absolutely adored - a high-waisted blue skirt, a white button-up blouse with lacy sleeves that almost looked like a separate garment - and sewn the sleeves to the sides to immobilize my arms. I was impressed at her thoughtfulness, creativeness, and ability to appreciate a more modest aesthetic.

Getting both of us into them had been tricky, of course, but my hands were free and I was able to get Mel zipped up. When we returned to the main room, my feeling of being on top of the world only grew with Jeremy's reaction. Maybe I'd enjoy this after all!

I didn't even object when he said he had duct tape that matched my skirt and asked to gag me, which in retrospect was one of the better decisions I'd ever made.

Advice: asking for feedback is an exercise in futility. Just write and be proud of yourself with or without feedback, positive or negative. If the feedback is constructive, pay attention. Welcome aboard.

Hey everyone. I managed to land myself in the hospital for a while (don't ask) and had only extremely intermittent Internet access. Updates resuming. Things are going to start moving much more quickly in a post or two - I may have chosen the worst possible time to get sick.

------------------------

Having Sarah around was amazing. I don't think I could have gotten my luggage out to the car, let alone into it, without her help. We were only going to be there for a weekend, and I travel light anyway - but I still didn't really have usable arms, so my little suitcase might as well have been a pile of elephants. Mel suggested I guide her out to the car, but Jeremy found his duct tape before I could, and once the blue adhesive was plastered all over my mouth and I lost the ability to form coherent words, I had to adopt a different tactic there... After checking myself out in the mirror, of course.

We must have made quite the sight, the four of us - me in my old-timey clothes struggling to hold on to Sarah's hand as she struggled with stairs and one suitcase, Jeremy balancing the one he and his sister were sharing, Mel leisurely strolling behind us burdened by neither luggage nor the notion that she could help describe things to poor sightless Sarah. It was probably the longest car-loading I've ever seen, even counting the ones involving my younger brothers back home, and certainly the most tiring. Jeremy took the driver's seat for obvious reasons, but not before getting the doors for us girls, which was appreciated. It ended up with the gagged women in the back and Mel and Jeremy up in front.

And within minutes she was flirting with him. Stupid duct tape!

------------------------

Jeremy had the decency to stop hitting on his ex's roommate shortly thereafter, but I still felt cross about it. He changed the topic to what I should expect this weekend to be like, though, which was important information, so I let it go and listened to what he was telling me.

At first, it was stuff that Mel had already told me - we'd be staying in a hotel on-site, almost all the women and some of the men would be tied up, meals were taken care of as part of the entrance fee, yada yada- and I didn't have a way to tell him to skip it. Some of the safety information was new, though - there'd be uniformed staff who could answer questions or help if I was lost (though I wasn't sure how that'd work if I was to be gagged), and security cameras would monitor pretty much everywhere except the insides of bathrooms. And then he talked about a massive dance that nearly everyone went to on the last evening. It sounded glamorous...

------------------------

Judging by the parking lot, we were one of the first to arrive. That surprised me, and as we headed inside (after repeating in reverse the oh-so-complicated procedures needed for three women in different forms of restraint to negotiate car doors), Mel noticed my glancing around and guessed what was on my mind.

"Most people are going to get here in a few hours. I just like to beat the rush."

Great, I skipped my number theory class for nothing. Thanks, Mel.

While I thought through the various sassy things I'd say if I could, our little group passed inside. There was a check-in table with no line - okay, maybe I could forgive the class thing. It was covered in meticulously organized papers and manned by some bored-looking women seated behind it. Mel took me aside to get us checked in; Jeremy would take care of Sarah...

"Melody Clark and Hannah Taylor," she said, and suddenly where I was hit me full on. I'd just been checked into a bondage convention! I was going to spend the weekend throwing away my ability to move! I was somewhere between euphoric and terrified, which edged more in the latter direction when I realized the women checking us in had their legs strapped to their chairs.

I was at a bloody bondage convention!

Got a little sick again. Nothing hospital-worthy this time, but I was concerned. Yeesh, never expected a bondage story to become a health journal, but so it goes... Have a thing.

They had these little pins, which Mel explained would get us into our rooms - basically keycards that you didn't need hands to use. She appeared to not see anything odd about stepping around the table so the check-in lady could pin it to her while still stuck to her chair. I followed behind her, more out of curiosity than anything.

There were three of them, and they were indeed strapped down. Each of the chairs had a thick fabric strap which went around the seat and the thighs of the person sitting in it. A second strap went around the stomach and the back of the chair, and a third smaller one bound the ankles to one of the chair legs. They were wearing matching blue dresses - clearly some kind of uniform; they were too long and simple and the same to be otherwise - and the straps were a similar material in a similar shade. I wondered if they were actually part of the dress itself... What would it be like to wear one? Alternatively challenging and boring, I guessed, but there was a certain appeal of it. What were bathroom breaks like?

"Hey Jeremy," Mel called out, snapping me back into the present, "why don't you two head up to your room? We'll find you later."

Wait, no! Suitcases!

But Jeremy assented, grabbed his and Sarah's, and lead his sister away. I wanted to chase after them, but I was busy having my own door pin attached to my dress. Mel couldn't quite hide a smirk.

"Oh, don't give me that look. You have hands."

I'm sure my sigh was audible, or at least perceivable from my body language. But for all my sass, I'm not one to argue, especially when my mouth is covered in duct tape.

I crouched down near my own suitcase - I counted myself fortunate to be wearing a loose skirt! - and attempted to grab it. This is harder than it might sound. Sarah had left it standing up straight, so I had to assume this sort of awkward half-crouch and side-step like a demented fiddler crab.

And then there was the matter of picking up the darned thing. I'm a light packer, but even still, picking up the suitcase one-handed wasn't going to be easy, especially with it off to one side throwing off my balance. I decided the best course of action was to get myself into an upright-but-leaning pose, so the suitcase wouldn't have to leave the ground and I could balance myself against it.

That worked, but when it came to straightening out into a full standing position, I overcorrected a bit and nearly fell over the other way. Mel snickered, and I glanced at her suitcase and shook my head.

Let her figure that one out for herself, I thought as I set off on my own.

It's nice to see you back, hopefully any further delays are due to you being tied up and not to any health problems. This story is well written and interesting and I am looking forward to future postings.

Re: The Convention (primarily F/F, M/F)

Postby notapotato » Wed Aug 19, 2015 1:00 pm

Well, I'm not sick, nor near enough to my girlfriend for any real life tying up to happen, so here goes nothing.

------------------------

Mel thought I was bluffing at first. I suppose I can understand that, but more than that, I appreciated the head start it gave me. We were in what was basically a giant hallway, with several large rooms to either side, and a staircase at the far end. Mel didn't realize I was serious until I was almost upon the stairs. (Incidentally, I was surprised by how many of the doors were closed - as I walked down the hall, I saw two twins clad in straitjackets and little else give up on one.)

But while I had a head start, Mel had neither a suitcase nor long skirts to deal with. She dashed across the hall, nearly bowling into the same straitjacketed twins in the process, and the stairs were easily wide enough to fit both of us. She passed me, and I knew what I'd expect to see when I finally reached our room...

------------------------

Mel stood in front of the door, blocking me from entering. Yup, exactly what I expected.

"Hey, Hannah, how about grabbing my suitcase too? You know, unless you want me sharing your toothbrush."

I gave her a sidelong look that was supposed to convey irritation - this was entirely her fault, after all - but we both knew it meant I was giving up. After a moment of feigned defiance, I crouched down and dropped my suitcase (both relieving and easier than picking it up) and turned back. In my peripheral vision, I saw Mel sashay her hip towards the door, a sensor read her pin and beeped, a green light flashed, and she kneed it open.

------------------------

It was a long walk from where the rooms were and the main hall, and by the time I'd grabbed the other suitcase - it gets easier, apparently, the second time around - and started back, I'd consigned myself to my fate. I was here to have fun, and Mel being obnoxious was hardly a new development, so why let it get in the way of having fun? And yes, okay, there was something appealing about struggling like this.

Besides, I had it better off than some. As I was picking up Mel's suitcase, I saw a woman who was strapped at every conceivable point to a wheelchair, blindfolded, gagged, and corseted for good measure. I assumed that the other woman checking in nearby was her friend, and that she hadn't just been left there, but I wasn't actually sure...

And on the way back, I ran into someone in an armbinder and a hobble dress who I'm pretty sure was a guy, which pleased me to no end. Yay, diversity! He vanished into an elevator before I could approach him, but cute crossdressers always put me in a good mood. I decided I could forgive Mel as I buzzed myself in to my room...

It didn't open.

The sensor made a different, lower, tone and the light was red this time. Trying again yielded the same result. Had they given me the wrong key? After a third attempt failed, I knocked.

Footsteps approached the door, and Mel's voice called my name.

"I can't get the door open. Can you use your hands, please?"

Uhm. How to explain through a gag? I buzzed the sensor again, hoping she'd hear it and understand.

"Crap," she said.

Crap indeed. I sighed.

Postby notapotato » Mon Aug 24, 2015 4:51 pm

Some of you have been asking where this is going. You're about to find out.

------

The important thing was to not panic There had to be some protocol for this. This couldn't be the first time someone's door lock got screwed up. I just had to get someone to get it taken care of, that's all. Sure, having my mouth duct taped over wasn't making that easier, but I decided to think of it as making things more interesting. Mel keeps telling me to be more confident, and this time, it was actually pretty important. So here it goes!

Of course, only a minute later, I ruined the moment by tripping on the stairs. I tried to stabilize myself with my arms, but they weren't exactly available, and I crashed into someone in a blindfold who didn't know to get out my way. On the one hand, it was quite embarrassing, but she stabilized me, so I wasn't too upset.

She was dressed simply in white slacks and a floral blouse, and her eyes were obscured by similar floral fabric that had to have been intentionally picked to match. Cuffs on her wrists restrained her hands in front of her, and matching ones on her ankles restrained her feet. I got a vaguely Indian vibe, but it was hard to tell.

"Oh, I'm sorry!", she said, and I couldn't tell her not to apologize. At least I didn't knock her over.

------

The check-in table was busier than before, and I found myself waiting in line behind two people who surprised me. Both were female. One wore nothing but a bikini and some straps that held her arms in a reverse prayer position, and I hoped she was prepared for both a lot of male attention and some very sore arms. The other was dressed normally and not restrained at all, and it's probably telling that she seemed the stranger of the two.

I decided that I would try to explain my situation with significant eye gestures. When my turn came, I approached the table with some trepidation, and glanced down at my hip where the pin was and made some mmmph noises at it. I needn't have worried.

"Room key troubles?"

I nodded, relieved.

"You'll want the security office. It's down that hall. First door on the left." She gestured towards a large open door about halfway down the main hall.

Okay, I could do that. This was going to work out after all!

------

Several minutes later, I sat on a couch, wishing I could bury my head in my hands and cry.

Everything had seemed so simple until I was outside the security office door, when I realized I had no way of explaining my situation and less way of giving my room number. I'd mmph'd at the check-in lady but she said she wasn't allowed to un-restrain people except in emergencies, and I couldn't indicate that I thought this qualified. She suggested getting an ungagged friend to help me, but Mel was stuck in our room and when I tried Jeremy's neither him nor Sarah was there, so for the sixth time I made the trip between the residential area and the front hall with no particular plan any more and sat and felt miserable.

My eyes were closed, but I became aware of someone near me and I opened them. It was the same girl from before, the one I'd nearly turned into a human bowling pin, and she was feeling the space at the other end of the couch, presumably to make sure it was empty before sitting. She couldn't be looking for me, could she? No, she was blindfolded both then and now. Coincidence. I shut my eyes again and felt her sit near me.

"Hey."

Her greeting startled me, and I'm sure she felt it. What was going on here?

"You okay?", she asked with a concerned voice, and I realized she could probably hear my panicky breathing.

------

There are some things I almost never do, and one of them is physically coerce people. But I was at my wit's end here, and I had enough mobility to grab her arm and pull her towards the check-in table. This yielded a surprised squawk that would have been hilarious in other circumstances. Glancing between her and the busted key pin was once again enough to get the point across, and the lady explained my situation.

She agreed to help, and that I tried to sigh with relief was apparent even through the duct tape.

It was only then that I realized I was still holding on to her hand. I was about to let go, but she asked me to lead her, and I supposed that was a sensible enough reason for girls to hold hands.

She explained my situation and had me indicate my room number with my fingers, and I'd soon received some weird looks and a new key.

------

We stood outside my room, now joined by Mel. The other girl had insisted I take her up to make sure the key worked, which it did. Mel said she was no worse for wear, and that the TV remote was big enough to be usable via toes.

"What's her name?", the other girl asked.

"She's Hannah," Mel replied, which made me a little indignant for some reason. "And you?"

"Leslie," she said. "Ms. Hannah, is there anything else I can do for you?"

There really wasn't, but I didn't want her to go. I grabbed her and did my best to hug her. I think she got what I meant, because she put her cuffed hands behind my back with one arm on either side and held me tightly in return.

When we disengaged, she didn't immediately leave, but looked uncertain for a moment.

"Hannah," she asked suddenly, "do you have plans for dinner?"

Re: The Convention (F/F) (Chapter 7: Will the author ever stop getting sick?)

Postby notapotato » Sun Sep 27, 2015 3:53 pm

Nelson, you jerk! Now I'm really wanting there to be a bondage-themed TV show!

------

At that point, the impossible happened.

"Hannah? Should I tell her you want to go with her?", Mel had asked.

Was she actually not rushing me into a social situation without asking? I was actually surprised; she's never really understood my introversion, and I wasn't used to her being sensitive to it. I nodded, too busy being confused to think about what I was doing.

"She nodded. It's a date!", Mel told Leslie, and that snapped me back to my senses.

Wait, what?

------

Our room had a hotel-style half-bathroom-thing - I'm sure there's a word for it, but it's not coming. There was a counter-like structure at the rear of the room with a sink in it. The bathroom itself had the toilet and shower, and was separated only by a thin curtain. Small, to be sure, but after living in a college dorm where the bathroom was on a different floor, I wasn't complaining.

I was seated in front of the on a wooden chair in front of the sink. Mel had had me pull it over - which meant dragging it one-handed, which was about as fun as it sounds. When she'd asked I'd given her a confused look, but she said she'd explain once I'd moved it and it was easier to go along with it. She'd then disappeared, leaving me to admire my tape-gagged reflection.

I was midway through trying to get an errant strand of hair back in place when she returned. Sarah was with her, still blindfolded and gagged. I hoped she was enjoying herself.

"I want to help you get ready for your date," Mel said, "but I needed to borrow Sarah's hands first. Sarah, take a step to the right and walk forward."

It's not a date! I wanted to say. I'm not into girls!

But Mel had Sarah pull the tape away from my face, so I couldn't stay annoyed.

------

The sensible thing would have been for Sarah to take off her blindfold, but sense seemed to not be a common occurrence at this convention, so instead Mel walked her through things. And I had to admit, against all odds, they'd done a good job. Maybe I should have them do my hair more often...

But it didn't quite matter in the end. I found Leslie at the convention center's restaurant, but, like me, she was wearing the same clothing as before - including her blindfold. I decided to have a bit of fun with her, and sneaked into the seat across from her as quietly as I could before greeting her.

"Hello," I said, and she twitched with surprise.

"Uh... Hannah, is that you?"

I couldn't help but giggle a bit. Yes, my stupid idea was working perfectly.

"Did the accent throw you?"

She nodded. "You got me. I wasn't expecting an English woman."

"I'm in the States for university," I explained. "So how is this going to work, exactly?"

Sorry, y'all.
