Yochanan Levitansky: Jewish Drug Dealer and Fraudster

Jews aren’t only frequently discovered to be child molesters but also other ‘white collar’ crimes such as fraud tend to be very much in their repertoire. One such example is Yochanan Levitansky who was/is an observant Orthodox jew – he was an active part of the local Lubavitch Chabad in Connecticut - and in training to be a rabbi. (1)

Well, that was until September 2009 when he was found guilty by a federal court in New Haven for ‘swindling hundreds of thousands of dollars’ - $237,257 to be exact - from customers of auction site eBay by selling them Bluetooth headsets and mobile phones that ‘he never intended to deliver.’ (2)

Despite this Levitansky received the light sentence of:

‘12 months and one day in prison, followed by 150 hours of community service and three years’ supervised release. He ordered him to repay $237,257, which he owes to eBay.’ (3)

Yet Levitansky didn’t stop there since pretty much as soon as he got out of prison, he came up with new wheeze to make lots of money quickly off the back of non-jewish suffering: selling illegal drugs to them.

In June 2015 Levitansky was arrested at a local motel in the city of Danbury, Connecticut after selling Miguel Melendez crack cocaine and heroin and was found with a ‘substantial amount of cash’ and predictably Levitansky was also driving a car that he’d stolen from a local car rental business. (4)

Indeed - as Nelson Oliveria writes for ‘News Times’ - Levitansky seems to have been becoming quite the local drug dealing kingpin at the time of his arrest:

‘Police began an investigation several months ago in response to complaints that Yochanan Levitansky, 28, of New Haven, was selling illegal drugs throughout the Danbury area, according to a news release.

Based on a surveillance of Levitansky, which revealed activity consistent with drug trafficking, a Danbury Superior Court judge issued a search warrant, police said.

Investigators then tracked him to a local hotel Wednesday, when he was seen conducting several suspected drug deals, according to the release.’ (5)

Levitansky was then found guilty and sentenced to several years in prison before he was paroled early in May 2021 (6) and is now back somewhere in Connecticut likely up his old criminal tricks targeting non-jews for money once more.
