Is Kraut and Tea Jewish?

The former prominent YouTube sceptic vlogger ‘Kraut and Tea’ (hereafter Kraut) (aka Joseph Lanchester) who was in the middle of a storm concerning the revelations on a leaked private YouTube stream – before he deleted his channel and ran away from the internet - that he wanted to ‘gas all French people’, called people ‘niggers’ while claiming to oppose ‘racism’, made arguments while knowing they are incorrect and actively tried to dox opponents in order to ruin their lives.

It turns out that Kraut was/is jewish as he revealed when he tweeted:

‘I am at best 1/8th Jewish, but yeah I had a bet running with friends if that was "jewish enough" for the alt right.’ (1)

Now despite Kraut’s obvious scorning of the idea that he is jewish. The fact is that according to the Israeli law of return; he is jewish and thus able to make Aliyah to Israel. (2)

Also, according to halakhah (i.e., jewish religious law) if Kraut’s maternal grandmother was jewish – and even if his paternal grandmother was jewish according to more liberal interpretations – (3) then he is jewish. So Kraut’s snarky comment about being ‘jewish enough for the AltRight’ is actually rather vapid, because had Kraut bothered to look it up.

Then he would have known that according to Israeli law; he is jewish and that he is also is likely jewish according to halakhah as well.

So yes: ‘Kraut and Tea’ was/is jewish.
