Fake Holocaust Survivors: Bernard Marks

Continuing on with my series of articles on ‘Holocaust Survivor’ stories we have the case of Bernard Marks of Sacramento, California who became famous as an anti-Trump spokesman in recent years. As Marks has now passed away his story was published as part of an obituary in the ‘Sacramento Bee’:

‘Marks was born September 17, 1929, and raised in Lodz, Poland. He survived both the Auschwitz and Dachau concentration camps as a child.

[…]

Both his mother and younger brother were slain at Auschwitz – a fate Marks was spared due to the efforts of his father.

[…]

Children living in the ghettos who were under the age of 10 were taken to extermination camps, Marks said. So his father lied about his age to keep him safe.

“In all of my discussions with anyone, I always tell them my father is the angel,” Marks said in the film. “Because he made me five years older, I survived the ghetto.”

The lie also saved his life when he and his family were eventually taken to Auschwitz.

Marks said he had been selected to go with his mother and brother to be exterminated. But his father provided documentation to an officer indicating that Marks was older than he was and was allowed instead to stay with his father in the camp.

Marks, who spent five-and-a-half years imprisoned by the Nazis, said he and his father would later learn that officer had been the notorious Dr. Josef Mengele.

He and his father were liberated from a Dachau sub camp on April 27, 1945, Marks said.’ (1)

The problem with this story is that it is obviously (and rather transparently) nonsense, because Marks is claiming that only his age saved him from being gassed and that this was increased by a whopping five years by his father using forged documentation to ‘prove’ to the German authorities that his 10 year old son was ‘really’ 15. Yet according to the accepted ‘Holocaust’ narrative people were gassed not only based upon their status as children – and one wonders how Marks’ father knew such intimate details of an allegedly top secret German policy known only to a very few people – but their physical stature as well.

In essence Marks’ father claiming his son was 15 rather than 10 – a claim that is difficult to believe given the sheer physical difference between a 10 and 15 year old boy – wouldn’t have mattered in regards to whether was killed in a German homicidal mass gassing program targeting jews and while I am sure it makes thrilling reading for the ‘Sacramento Bee’s’ audience. It just doesn’t make a lot of historical sense within the framework of the accepted ‘Holocaust’ narrative.
