Rose Mallinger was a 97 year old jewess from Pittsburgh who was killed in the Tree of Life Synagogue massacre by Robert Bowers.
She was also claimed by multiple publications such as ‘People’ (1) and New York’s ‘Jewish Daily Forward’ (2) to be a ‘Holocaust Survivor’ – of course – but this is a complete lie that was quickly exposed by people who knew Mallinger on Twitter and was then picked up by Snopes. (3)
So yes Rose Mallinger was a fake ‘Holocaust Survivor’ but rather unusually through no fault of her own.
