STRIP CLUB WARS 2 - Version 2.03

TO INSTALL:

To install the game, unpack all files in this zip file anywhere in your hard
drive. Do not install it over the Strip Club Wars 1 game, if you have that one
installed. If you had a previous version of SCW 2, then you may unpack this
over it. Doing so will not overwrite you save files or user-modified options.

If you are curious of how SCW2 is different from SCW1, in the docs folder
there's a file called "scw v2 changes.txt" that lists the most important
changes.

A partial list of changes in this update can be found in the docs folder in
the file called change_log.txt.

FILE INFO

Some basic info about the files in this directory. These are the data
files used by the Strip Club Wars game. This directory must be specified in
the scw.ini file stored in the same directory as the main game executable.

characters contains the character images used in the game. To keep the
directory size manageable, they are stored in groups of 50. Each character has
at least 12 images (females) or 7 (males). The directory names do not matter.
However, the system will try to load any file under the characters directory
as if it was an image. If it's not the expected pattern it should ignore it
but to be safe do not put any additional files under this directory. See
below in this file for info on how to load images.

data contains the data files that control the game objects.

local contains the localization string files. Only english is supported at
this time (although its unlikely that there will be support for any other
language due to the complexities of writing natural language).

mods contains the installed mods as well as some documentation about them. Two
sample mods are included but are not enabled. For instructions on how to
create and install mods, read the docs in that directory.

tfel contains the TFL language files that drive the scenes and character
interactions.

runtime contains files written to at run time. This includes save files, the
TFL object files (TFL files are compiled into .tfo "object" files and cached
here) and log files.

In addition the config.dat file in this directory controls a number of
parameters used by the game. Instead of modifying those parameters in the
config.dat file, modify them instead via the in-game Options menu.

For settings not available via the in-game Options interface, you can
set them in the user_config.dat file. Values defined in the user_config.dat
file override those in the config.dat file. Unlike changes made to config.dat,
changes made in the user_config.dat file are not lost when the game is updated.
(If the file doesn't exist, run the game .exe file and then exit the game.
That will initialize the file so that changes can be made). Changes made via
the in-game options interface will take precedence over the user_config.dat
changes.

LOADING CHARACTER IMAGE PACKS

To play the game, you must install at least one image pack. Image packs
must be installed after the game is installed. After downloading an image
pack, they must be unpacked in the characters subdirectory of the game
directory. Full instructions are included in the image pack zip file.

If you already downloaded image packs for use with Strip Club Wars 1, you
can use those same images for this game. To do so, launch the Strip Club Wars
2 game and go to the options and specify the location of the SCW1 characters
folder in the "Additional Location for Character Images" setting.

For instructions on how to add your own images to the game, see the pdf file
in this docs folder with the name "SCW Character Image System.pdf".
