2021 New Year QnA I've really been posting on this forum a lot lately, huh? Well, I wasn't planning on this, but when I discovered it I felt I had to let people know. For those of you who aren't aware, Project Moon held a Q&A yesterday on Twitter in celebration of 2021. I've compiled and "translated" the questions and responses into one place (sorted by category) so the information is more easily accessible for English speakers! Please note that I do not speak Korean, nor am I a professional translator. I believe most of what I write here is accurate, though there may be errors. I've also added notes about things I felt were implied, but please take those with a grain of salt. I've organized the questions into the following subjects: Abnormalities (4 questions) Lore tidbits (4) Story/general invitations (4) LoR post-release (3) Plans for future titles (4) Dubbing (4) Life at Project Moon (3) Project Moon's personal plans (3) HamHamPangPang (3) The art book/soundtrack (3) Merch/fan content! (4) Abnormalities Q: What was your main inspiration for the Abnormalities as a concept? A: The Abnormalities were all inspired by different things, including folklore, fairy tales, pop culture, and more. (TL note: this question was in English and I think it got lost in translation. The main concept of an "Abnormality" was originally inspired by the SCP Foundation, though I think it's begun to deviate a bit.) Q: What LC Abnormality was the hardest to convert into an LoR-style battle? A: The Burrowing Heaven. Tiphereth's realization was also tricky to design. Q: Can previously scrapped Abnormalities (like Nosferatu) appear in future games? A: Yeah, we're keeping the option open. Q: Will future games feature entirely new Abnormalities? A: Of course! Lore tidbits Q: Is it true that Bada is San's younger brother? A: Yes, the fan theories were correct! (TL note: apparently Watson, one of the official English translators, wasn't aware of this and was quite surprised at the reveal) Q: In the City there seems to be technology to restore people's eyesight. Why do certain characters (like Philip or Katriel) choose to wear glasses anyway? A: Their glasses have additional functions. (TL note: like other science fiction) Q: Do the Assistant Librarians eat and sleep? A: Yep! Q: Is Oink's weapon an axe or a sledgehammer? A: A hammer. (TL note: makes since because of his blunt specialty) Story/general invitations Q: Is the full release still planned for April 2021? A: Yep! Q: How close are we to the end? A: The climax is approaching. Q: When are you going to add more general invitations/will this be done periodically? A: We'll return to adding general invitations once we reach a certain point in the story. Q: Do you plan to expand the workshop? Custom receptions/pages would be cool! A: We're considering it, but it's not our priority right now. LoR post-release Q: Certain bugs have remained unfixed for a while. Will you eventually address them? A: Very minor bugs aren't fixed immediately, but we'll take care of them eventually. (TL note: if a bug doesn't break the game, it doesn't require an immediate fix during Early Access; they might have a dedicated bug-fix update in the future) Q: Will LoR have achievements and/or Steam badges? What about LC? A: Achievements/badges are planned for LoR, but are not planned for LC. Q: Will there be any DLC for LoR at a later date? A: We have an idea for DLC but can't give details. Plans for future titles Q: (Various questions regarding LC:B) A: We'll reveal more when we're ready. Q: What age rating will LC2 and LC:B have? (TL note: Love Town made LoR 18+) A: We're shooting for 15+, the same as the original Lobotomy Corp. Q: Are you already working on LC:B? Is the team divided between games? A: We've hired new members to prototype LC:B; we'll focus on it more after LoR. Q: Will we ever see more of R Corp in the future? A: Someday, we'd like to explore more about R Corp, but not now. Dubbing Q: When will Chapter 6 dubbing be added? A: After the chapter is complete. (TL note: as usual) Q: Who are the voice actors for the characters in LoR? I'm curious... A: You'll have to wait until the credits, you can find the names there. Q: Will LoR be dubbed in languages other than Korean? A: Unfortunately, no plans for other-language dubs. (TL note: yet) Q: Will your next games be dubbed in Korean as well? A: We'd like to dub all our games from now on, though that brings its own challenges. Life at Project Moon Q: Why didn't you take a break for Christmas/New Years? A: Actually, some of us did. Only a few were working on the update those days. Q: Did you guys do any kind of new year's celebration? A: Only a modest one, mainly playing games at our homes. Q: Who is responsible for Jean after work? (TL note: I think that's the dog?) A: We take turns. At one point we payed someone to take care of Jean. Project Moon's personal plans Q: What's your biggest goal for 2021? A: To make fun games and stories! Q: Do you plan to take a break after LoR (if current events improve)? A: Yeah, we'll probably take a vacation after the full release. Q: Do you have future housing/office plans for once the pandemic ends? A: Yes, we do! HamHamPangPang Q: Once the Briah/Atziluth themes for H.H.P.P. are over, do we go back to Asiyah? A: HamHamPangPang will then proceed with a new theme (TL note: based on LoR?) Q: Will it be possible to purchase goods like H.H.P.P. abroad? (I live in Japan) A: We would like to eventually participate in overseas events and/or do a pop-up store. Q: Will HamHamPangPang come to China? A: It may come in the form of a pop-up store at Chinese game events. The art book/soundtrack Q: Do you have more information about the main characters (height, weight, etc.)? A: Information like the Patron Librarian's birthdays will be in the upcoming art book. Q: Will the soundtrack be on sale/will the art book be on sale like the LC art book? A: Yep! (TL note: they also said that the Mili tracks will release around the same time) Q: How many (visual) artists are currently working on LoR? Is there only 1? A: There are 4 different illustrators. Merch/fan content! Q: Will you consider merch for your series, such as figurines or phone cases? A: If there's enough demand for it! It'll be more feasible once the pandemic is over. Q: Do you think you can make a merch store able to ship worldwide? A: It's difficult to do so right now with our current scale, sorry! Q: I want to make my own Project Moon merch (clothes). Can I pay someone? A: It should be fine as long as you don't mass-produce them for commercial purposes. Q: Wasn't Myo originally designed by a backer of LC? A: Yes(TL note: ?). We decided on her name by talking to the backer. That's it! That pretty much paraphrases everything said in the Q&A. Note that I merged a few questions to prevent redundancy. I thought I was pretty thorough in my search but considering that I'm not used to Twitter, I could have missed something. If I have, let me know so I can add it to this list! Hope you enjoy reading this!
