Serpienoids

The Serpienoids are strange creatures that look human at first glance, but as you seem to get closer, its obvious they're not.  With horns protruding from their skulls, long snake-like tails, and sharp nails, they seem to slip through the night with ease while disguising themselves by day.  

Little is actually known about Serpienoids, some call them demons from hell, while others tolerate their existance.  Journalists love to point out sightings of "real serpienoids" just to instill fear in the people, while actual serpienoids hide in the shadows.  

Nobody actually truly knows from where they came from, however many suspect they are the same snakes from a story about creatures who evolve and eventually attack the ones who kept them captured.  Some don't believe this, but oftentimes nobody can figure out what actually happened since captured Serpienoids won't speak to them.

Serpienoids have a rich history and culture, donning themselves with jewels and silk while speaking languidly about the 'old days'.  This hedonistic lifestyle leads Serpienoids to join crime rings, corrupt governments or become gentlemen thieves.
