at high levels, the stars above will inform your every action, guiding you even as all else seems lost, which may make you seem insane to other people, but at low levels you'll lack drive... and an understanding of some of the stranger aspects of The City.
LAMENTATION: SEE WHATS BROKEN, DESPAIR
Cool For: Doomsayers, The last bastions of Empathy, Cult Leaders.
Lamentation represents your ability to see what's wrong in the world, and feel empathy for other people. this is not necessarily the same thing as actually helping them.
at high levels, you'll be paralysed by the despair and bloodshed you see in The City, a neverending cesspit of murder and corruption, falling to despair in moments, but at low levels, youll feel nothing for the people you crush underfoot.
SELF-PRESERVATION: YOU ARE PREY.
Cool For: Survivors, Weasels, Cowards.
Self-Preservation is what drives you to save your own skin, as you cannot turn the clock on yourself.
at high levels, you'll cower behind anything and everything, desperately searching for a safe place, but at low levels, you will have absolutely zero instinct to protect yourself.
