Intellect Citation Absorb knowledge, remain aware of where it came from. Store information and its sources. Cool for: Politicians, Public Speakers, People Who Love To Argue Citation draws in information, remembering where and when it obtains all of it. It allows you to draw upon your wellspring of knowledge, and back it all up with a source. Your confidence in the information you learn will increase. Who knows when you’ll need to remember when you read that article about albino dolphins? At high levels, Citation will try too hard to figure out the proof behind all the info you learn. Someone says that their joint hurts? You must find out how, and why. You will no longer trust any info you see unless you have multiple sources to support it. A low-leveled Citation, however, will cause you to believe most of the knowledge you obtain, not feeling the need to fact check it. Just trust every random news article you read online! Conviction Form beliefs and stick to them. Never back down, never waver. Cool for: Activists, Stubborn People, The Ideologically Inclined. Stand by your opinions through it all. Convince all others of what you believe to be true. Conviction will help you fight against the people who are “wrong”. It will help you when you start to doubt yourself in an argument, and stand by you. It allows you to form strong opinions on things through logic and information. At high levels, you may begin to get stuck in your beliefs, unable to accept that you were ever wrong at all. Your opinions will shift into facts, and no one will be able to convince you to reflect. You will also begin to form strong opinions on things that do not matter as much, such as if water is wet or if a s'more is a sandwich. Having a weak Conviction, however, will cause you to have trouble with caring much about other beliefs. Coming to conclusions to things will be difficult if not outright impossible, and you will become aimless. Leucocholy Work around the main problem. Divert your attention effortlessly. Cool for: People With ADHD, Busy-Bees, Authors. Leucocholy helps keep you from being overwhelmed. In the presence of too many tasks, it is able to order them and decide which ones should be prioritized. You’ll be able to complete smaller tasks before tackling the main ones, or temporarily ignore them if under a time crunch. At high levels, Leococholy notices too many smaller tasks. Haven’t stood up in the last 30 seconds? Now you need to before you can keep working. It gets insistent, and will get distracted much too easily. At low levels, however, you’ll never be able to choose which tasks to do next. Mimicry Become what you are not. Take from every source. Cool for: Actors/Actresses, Insecure People, Sociopaths. Mimicry hides the mind’s true face behind multiple different masks, each stolen from a different origin. It encourages you to take traits from friends, enemies and even fictional characters. It helps you recognize certain people’s mannerisms, and appropriate them as your own. At high levels, Mimicry could try to bury your face under too many masks. You may start to lose who you truly are, stuck in the delusion of becoming multiple people. People will begin to notice you blatantly stealing phrases or jokes from them. However, at low levels, pretending to be another person will be impossible. Acting will become much more difficult and more forced. Ad-lib Improvise, come up with anything. Think quickly. Cool for: Comedians, Liars, Lawyers. Planning cannot account for everything, and Ad-lib does its best to make up for that. It enables you to think on the fly, come up with new plans in an instant, or make new jokes. You will have quick wits and a sharp tongue, able to respond to anything. At high levels, Ad-lib will cause you to detest planning at all, giving you the belief that going into everything with reckless abandon is the only way to live. You will never think ahead in any situation, only focusing on the here and now. But with a weak Ad-lib, you will have no improvisational skills at all. If things do not go exactly to plan, you will get lost. Recognition Witness what has been forgotten through objects. Associate memories with the physical. Cool for: Archaeologists, History Buffs, Weather reporters. Your memory is associative in nature. The best way for you to remember something is for you to see or experience something related to it. Recognition wants to remember everything, and is held back only by your senses. It will grasp out at sights, smells, tastes, anything to draw back to a memory. Reportedly, keeping a to-do list will help it. At high levels, Recognition may get overzealous, attempting to link any random sensory disruption to the past, distracting you and possibly overwhelming you. While it may still give you useful information and reminders, it is much more likely to bring up meaningless things that should’ve been forgotten about. At low levels, however, the associative part of your memory will falter, severely diminishing its power and control over the mind. You will experience incredible difficulty remembering even simple things. Psyche Optimism Hang on to the positives for as long as possible. Stay half full. Cool for: The Sane, Happy People, Salesmen Humans are negative creatures, and they spread negativity wherever they move to. Optimism will help you combat this, instead combatting this natural pessimism of the universe. Your undying human willpower will keep you standing and moving in the worst of circumstances, determined not to fall. At high levels, Optimism makes you distinctly positive, to the extreme of ignoring negativity at all. If you watch something with a negative connotation happen, it will help you pretend that it never happened at all. Positivity is all-encompassing and bottling up all of those negative emotions would never hurt you, surely. A lower leveled Optimism, on the contrary, will do the opposite. You will be unable to see positivity at all, and negative events will entirely debilitate you. Duende Become a magnet. Attract friends, allies, and lovers. Cool for: Manipulators, Leaders, Diplomats. Duende is all for subtlety. Just step slightly closer to this person. Touch this one's shoulder. Duende will look out for you, and make sure that anyone who meets you will remember you. This skill will give you an almost passive ability to attract anyone and everyone to you. You will have an allure about you, that makes people want to know you. It will reveal your enemies through deduction of who is spending more or less time with you. At high levels, Duende will make you smooth, a slick talker that can get anyone close to them, at the cost of privacy and alone time. People will begin falling in love with you, developing crushes, or becoming too attached. They will never leave your side. At low levels, however, it will cause you to become undesirable at all, pushing away potential allies and relationships. Callosity Turn your cheek, avoid the battle. Grow thick skin and move past petty insults. Cool for: Bouncers, Teachers, Police officers. Callosity will not allow anyone to harm you. It is your comfort, your shield from the words and opinions of others. It hears the insults before you do, and filters through them. It encourages you to keep the peace, avoiding conflicts and becoming the ‘bigger person’. At high levels, Callosity will shield you too much. It will begin perceiving even the most innocuous of comments as slights and jibes. It will filter out more and more from people, becoming overprotective and babying you. A weaker Callosity, though, will instead make you extremely vulnerable to the comments and perceptions of others. The slightest observation about a bad hair day could send you spiraling. Dominion Learn what makes people tick. Hold power over their head. Cool for: Prosecutors, Psychoanalyzers, Bullies. Dominion is emotionally intelligent, controlling, and urges you to play the puppet master. It will teach you how to get a read on a person, and find out what makes them upset, what makes them happy, and urges you to use it, either for or against them. It will get you to impose your will on people, subtly changing them and becoming agreeable to you. You will give good advice while listening to it. Understanding people is paramount to it. At high levels, Dominion will begin activating unconsciously. Saying things will almost supernaturally cause people to ‘glitch’, having to pause talking for minutes on end to recover. It will begin breaking down the people around you. You will understand people well, but at the cost of them losing their humanity to you, becoming walking puzzles to dissect. At low levels, though, people will become unexplainable and incomprehensible to you. You will be unaware of why people take the actions they do, and subtle behaviors will go unnoticed. Superstition Understand the supernatural. Live it, breathe it. Cool for: Occult members, Ghost hunters, Believers Of The Supernatural. Tune in to the supernatural world, and know the rules of the unknowable. Superstition is the hairs on the back of your neck rising when in the presence of something impossible. Respect for this side of the world is paramount, and Superstition instructs you on this. At high levels, You will begin seeing even random coincidences and bad luck as mystical happenings, paranormal events. Everything has an exploration, any negative energies can be exorcized away. Superstition will panic at the drop of a hat, and cause you to panic along with him. At lower levels, though, you will rarely feel any warning towards something supernatural. You will not feel inclined to treat possibly anomalous items with care or respect, which may possibly become dangerous. Friluftsliv Remain at peace with nature. Consider everything's impact. Disturb nothing. Cool for: Hippies, Hikers, Environmentalists. Friluftsliv is not just a thing. It's a whole philosophy, a way of life. You must step into nature, and let it flow through you. Calm down, clear your head. Feel the connection you have to the true world, away from society, jobs and laws. Friluftsliv is the very spirit of environmentalism, your connection to the natural world and its many beauties and terrors. Friluftsliv will identify the strange howl you heard in the wilderness, and when exactly to leave the area once the forest has gone quiet. At high levels, Friluftsliv will get too close to nature, and you may begin to feel the urge to reconstruct society. The sheer rage you will feel over humanity's destruction of nature will become insurmountable, and you may begin feeling darker urges in the name of saving nature. At lower levels, however, your connection to nature will feel severed, and the trees will no longer sway alongside you. You will no longer get comfort from the simple pleasures such as a bird’s chirping or the aroma of a rose. Physique Durability Roll with the punches. You are tougher than you look. Cool for: Boxers, Drunks, BDSM Enthusiasts Your body is tough, and will not give in to any pressure. You do not look strong or firm, but with this skill you will prove your appearance wrong. Durability will ensure you never break a bone, and would keep moving if it does happen. It allows you to take damage and tolerate even the worst of pains. It keeps you safe, physically, and gives you confidence in your physical abilities. At high levels, Durability will toughen your body. People will hurt themselves just attempting to damage you, and any hit to the head will be laughable. It will give you confidence, and recklessness. You will believe nothing can damage you, and you will be much more accident prone. If you can take it, why not invite it? At low levels, though, even the smallest damage will cause you to keel over. Your meek appearance will become fact, and taking hits will become unbearable. Grit Never back down from a challenge. Push through the strongest of obstacles. Cool for: Mountain Climbers, Chemistry Students, Retail Workers Strength is virtue. Will you lay down and die like a dog, or will you rise against your difficulties and shatter them? Grit knows the answer. Grit will keep you moving, through the toughest of burdens, both physical and mental, even both. Even while your muscles burn and your mind screams for mercy, you will be unyielding. At high levels, you will stop knowing when to give up. Grit will keep you fighting, keep you awake, even if victory is entirely impossible. If you’re stuck in a losing argument, or an impossible assignment, you will refuse help, for Grit is your only ally in these situations. A low leveled Grit, however, will cause you to throw in the towel much too fast. Receive any sort of pushback and you will simply give up, or throw a tantrum. Ego Hold your head high. Understand who and what you are. Cool for: Narcissists, Authors, Movie Stars Ego is your sense of self made manifest. The coalescence of everything you perceive yourself to be, flowing through your veins. With it, you will want to make yourself known, to bare your soul for the world to see, flaws and all. Ego is your urge to speak to people about yourself, to inform others of everything happening with you. At high levels, embarrassment and shame will become bygones of a past era. Your Ego will grow to ridiculous heights, wanting more and more to only talk about itself, and nothing more. It will bare your soul for the world to see, while hiding the flaws. You will become a true perfectionist, unable to accept any of your limitations. It will overshadow anything in its path, gorging itself on attention and power. At low levels, however, it will shrink, becoming almost imperceptible. You will want to hide away, not allowing anyone to perceive you. Embarrassment will come easy to you, whether it is deserved or not, and you will doubt your every action. Intensity Love the world and its denizens. Feel stronger emotions, and act on them. Cool for: Flirts, Influencers, Charmers The universe was made to be loved. The physicality of it all enamours you, igniting the flames of passion within your soul. You wish to touch, to feel everything in the world. Skin under your fingertips, gravel trails under your feet, the heat of the sun's rays burning into your flesh. You wish to find connection and intimacy in the arms of friends, to fiercely defend them, and to truly adore them. At high levels, you may get caught up in the pleasure of it all, failing to take into account the emotional needs of others in favor of the physical. You may also stay in dangerous or unhealthy situations for longer, for the electric thrill that comes from the danger. Intensity will want you to experience everything, no matter the risk attached. At low levels, though, you will find it harder and harder to care about things, to feel affection for the people you are close with or the world around you. Things will feel dull and gray, and friendships will be lost in the inferno that comes. Fluidity Rigidity is a curse. Avoid it and stay mobile. Cool for: Yoga Enthusiasts, Cavers, Dancers Your body is far from unbending. You are liquid, moving with a grace unparalleled, with the skill of a ballet dancer. It becomes unconscious to keep your knees bent, your head on a swivel. Sitting in one place is a chore, and Fluidity would much rather you rock and sway. At high levels, sitting still will become torture. People will begin to notice your restlessness, and your own body will rebel against you in an attempt to just keep moving. On the other hand, low levels of Fluidity will give you more incentive to become immobile. You will want to sit down and stay there for as long as possible, and too much movement will exhaust you. Savagery Embrace the customs of your ancestors. Return back to the wilderness. Cool for: Cavemen, Backpackers, Anyone With Stairs In Their Home. There is nothing concrete that separates a human from the most primal of animals. Intelligence is a delusion made up by apes, and Savagery understands this. Human customs are useless in the face of danger, and Savagery is the embodiment of your ancestors' instincts. Intimidate your enemies, and give in to your base desires. At high levels, Savagery will make you indistinguishable from whatever civilized humans you came from. Animals will recognize you as one of their own, but immediate pleasures will become irresistible to you. Long term planning will become a thing of the past, and all that will matter now is where you get your next meal and who you pass your genes to. But with a low Savagery, you will become out of tune with your impulses and senses. You may not understand where your feelings come from, and your more base instincts will be weak and unwieldy. Motorics Aerobics Move your body. Dance and jump around. Cool for: Gymnasts, Athletes, Bodybuilders Aerobics wants you to control the body you reside in. Exerting a meticulous force on every muscle within you to find the best way to move, to stretch. It wants you to stretch, to know every dance move seconds before you complete them, and to complete them effortlessly. Your body will become a tool, used for pure physical expression. Words will become meaningless, overshadowed by the language of the body. At high levels, Aerobics will make your movements elaborate, with a dramatic flair unmatched by any. You will spend most of your time thinking about how best to move, what moves to carry out, and how to improve the mech suit you call your body. It will envelop you entirely, becoming an instrument that only you know how to play. But with low Aerobics, your body will become foreign to you. You will be separated from it, and every movement will have to become deliberate. You will become slower, sloppy and unable to act quickly. Vigilance Notice the smaller things. Make sure your guard stays up. Cool for: Security Guards, Batman, Ninjas Focus your vision, control what you look at and look for. Vigilance wants you to search for details, and question their meaning. It will give you the ability to notice what may be less obvious to most. Body language changes, a twitch in the face, movement in the bushes nearby. At high levels, Vigilance will flood you with information. You will still notice a friend’s slightly uncomfortable face, but you will also notice a stranger’s breathing or a tiny glance to the side that even the person in question did not notice. It will bombard you with detail, causing you to possibly misinterpret someone’s signals unless very careful to parse the information. On the other hand, lower levels of Vigilance will cause you not to notice something unless it is physically spoken to you. A friend gives you pleading eyes to help her get away from the creepy man nearby? You will not notice. Your lack of street smarts will be incredibly obvious. Momentum Stay moving no matter what. The hardest part is getting up. Cool for: Nascar Drivers, Motivation Lacking Individuals, Writers. Energy is life. Without it, you become nothing. And the only way to keep that energy is to get the ball rolling. Start doing your tasks, and don’t take a break until you are done. If you do stop, you will not be able to resume. Momentum pushes you to do your work now, while you are standing. Simple tasks can be tough to start, but become easier the longer you work on them. At high levels, Momentum will force you to keep working, pushing past the limits of your body out of fear of not being able to get up. You will pull all-nighters or hurt yourself for the sake of finishing a task. Momentum will only allow you to rest when the job is done, and even then it may find something else for you to do before then. At low levels, though, even getting up to do what you have to do will prove to be too overwhelming. You will lay in bed, lamenting your lack of motivation, and yet do nothing to change it. Pragmatism Return to reality. Everything can be explained, everything can be made more efficient. Cool for: Scientists, Businessmen, and Engineers Pragmatism is the rationality within you, seeing the world in the sense of tools meant to be used to produce results. It is able to reduce people, objects, even thoughts down to mere implements. Conflicts come rarely, as Pragmatism encourages you to work things out, leaving emotion to the wayside. Pragmatism encourages you to utilize tools to their maximum capability, forgetting that an object's uses are not all that make up its value. At high levels, you will become detached to the people and things around you. After all, they are just tools. Sentimentality will evaporate, and be forgotten. Conflict will frustrate you to no end as you begin to forget the emotions other people can feel, understanding the situation through a purely utilitarian viewpoint. At low levels, however, you will lose your grip on reality. Rather than things being tools, their other values will become important to you. You may feel inclined to frame a hammer rather than actually use it, and you will get unreasonably attached to even the smallest of things. Regime Do the same thing over and over. Become accustomed to it. Cool for: Office workers, Employees, Band Members Repetition. The ultimate comfort of life is doing the same thing over and over again. You will not have to focus on miniscule decisions if they were already made for you weeks, months or years ago. Habits will be picked up, and practice will come easily to you. At high levels, Routine will make you obsess over the order of things, and will cause you to panic if thrown out of it. Your unhealthy habits will rise in frequency and become harder to break, while your positive habits will fade out of memory. Your skin will be peppered with lesions from you picking at it, and your nails will be chewed down to the quick as fast as they can grow. At low levels, however, you will not be able to stick to a schedule at all. Tasks will be done out of order, if done at all, and half-hearted assignments will become your calling card. Stochasticity Revel in the disorder of it all. Find structure within it. Cool for: Artists, Maximalists, Quantum Physicists The universe has no inherent meaning, no framework that provides an explanation for the major questions of life. And that, to you, is absolutely wonderful. If a God or higher being just gave you the answer to the meaning of life, it would remove all of the fun out of the mystery. Everything is disorganized, and Stochasticity accepts that with grace, building upon it. Your desk will never be organized, and yet you will know where everything on it is. The stronger Stochasticity becomes, the more disorganization will occur within your life. Your items will begin to get misplaced, your thoughts will fall out of place, even slipping out of your mouth before you can stop yourself. Symmetry will disgust you, and order will elude you. At low levels, however, you will begin to impulsively sort things. Anything out of place will confuse you, and even the slightest disorder or lack of categorization will cause you to grind to a halt.
