Toyotomi Hideyori Weakness: Water, Earth Resists: Fire, Lightning Wields 1Kat with fire and 2Kat fire and thunder. Although he has no LW, he has parry attacks on both weapons and likes to backdash away so it is difficult to keep the pressure. Very weak to circling around his attacks and blocking, with the exception to when he uses 1Kat since he has a grab. When wielding 2Kat, he has both elemental buffs at the same time so when he attacks, both elements are applied to you, and so can easily inflict Confusion. Relatively easy after coming this far, just stay patient, block, dodge as much as you can behind his back, and go to town. Universal Yokai Release = When 50% HP or lower, Toyotomi will shake his head in pain and then release a short ranged AoE. He will heal some HP and leave a Yokai Realm in his place. Is now considered a yokai, meaning all his moves have armor now, but his Ki does not recover automatically anymore. 1Kat Thrust(>Double Slash) = Basic midrange attack. Punishable on whiff. Very easy to just circle midrange and make it whiff. You can dodge towards him to do this. Light punish. Iai Stance>Iai Slash = Spins back and sheathes his sword before doing a long range and fast forward slash. Can dodge or outrange it but the easiest way is to block it. Though thankfully blockable, Toyotomi has armor during this attack. Does this close to mid range so be careful. Tracks your location during startup, so if you dodge past him too early, he can still catch you. Grab = Lunges forward and grabs with his left hand. Very damaging and decently fast if you overstayed your punish attempts. Parry = Holds his sword across his body while it gleams. Hitting him in this state will ignore your attack as he does a followup. However, this followup is not guaranteed so you are able to escape if you recognize this fast enough. Very fast recovery. No punish. Corruption Projectiles = Yokai Release only. Holds his position as numerous balls of light form around him, before shotgunning the projectiles forward. Creates numerous Yokai Realms. Fast recovery. Trailblaze = Yokai Release only. Holds his katana horizontally across his face and sends a wave of fire forward. Light~medium punish. 2Kat Sign of the Cross = Sheathes both swords and slashes forward with both. Blockable. Double Thrust = Toyotomi's swords gleam, before he does a double thrust attack. Blockable. Fire/Thunder Slash = Flicks his right/left arm and sends an elemental slash at you. Easy to tell since he pauses a bit before doing this attack. Fire and Thunder Tempest = Switches to a reverse grip on his swords before creating numerous waves of elemental slashes forward. Dodge to his back and punish as he whiffs. Heavy punish. Helmbreaker = Jumps up and tracks your location, burying both blades on the ground. With Yokai Release, can inflict fire/electric status and creates a Yokai Realm on the spot. Parry = Holds both of his swords across his body while it gleams. Hitting him in this state will ignore your attack as he does a followup. However, this followup is not guaranteed so you are able to escape if you recognize this fast enough. Very fast recovery. No punish.
